ASSASSIN THRILLER ‘GUNPOWDER MILKSHAKE’ REVEALS STILLS

PUT Karen Gillan, Lena Headey, Angela Bassett, Michelle Yeoh, and Carla Gugino together in an assassin thriller, and you get Gunpowder Milkshake!

The upcoming women-centric flick just released three first-look photos and it feels like we’ll be seeing an action-packed thriller with a rompy side to it (judging by their bright getups and the film’s title).

The film follows the story of Sam (Karen Gillan) who, at 12 years old, was abandoned by her mother Scarlet (Lena Headey), an elite assassin. Raised by the crime syndicate The Firm, Sam follows her mother’s footsteps as a fierce hit-woman. But her loyalty is tested when she needs to choose between the syndicate and the life of an innocent 8-year-old girl named Emily (Chloe Coleman).

When Sam takes the dangerous path of protecting Emily, her only hope for survival is to team up with her mother and the triple threat that is The Librarians (Bassett, Yeoh, and Gugino).

The film is directed by Navot Papushado with a script writ- ten by Ehud Lavski. It is set for release next year. (ROHN ROMULO)
