Lahat ng mga national athletes ay bibigyan coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccines kahit ang mga hindi sasabak sa 31st Southeast Asian Games sa Hanoi, Vietnam.
Ito ang inaprubahan kahapon ng pamahalaan sa pamamagitan ng Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) at Department of Health (DOH).
Noong Biyernes ay tinurukan ng COVID-19 vaccine na Sinovac ang mga miyembro ng Team Philippines na lalahok sa 2021 Olympic Games sa Tokyo, Japan sa Hulyo at sa Vietnam SEA Games sa Nobyembre.
“This is another great news for our national athletes and for all of Philippine sports,” ani Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino sa natanggap niyang balita mula kay Vince Dizon, ang deputy chief implementer ng National Task Force Against COVID-19.
