CHED nakiisa sa PSC, DOH, GAB; sumunod tayo sa guidelines

Nakiisa ang Commission on Higher Education (CHED) sa Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), Games and Amusements Board, at Department of Health sa pagpapanatili ng kaligtasan at kalusugan ng student-athletes sa gitna ng the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic.
“Safety of our students is the topmost concern,” ani CHED chairman Prospero De Vera at hinimok ang lahat ng atleta na sumunod sa ipinatutupad na guidelines at safety protocols kaugnay sa pagdaraos ng sports.
Nag-ugat ang pahayag na ito makaraang umuugong ang usapin sa dalawang collegiate team na University of Santo Tomas (UST) at National University (NU).
Buhat pa noong quarantine, inabisuhan na ni De Vera ang mga estudyante sa kolehiyo na manatili na lamang sa kani-kanilang tahanan.
Pinasalamatan ni PSC National Training Director Marc Velasco si De Vera at siniguro ang buong suporta ng ahensiya sa kaligtasan at kalusugan ng mga atleta.
“The PSC will always push to uphold the issuances regarding sports and physical activity and we are happy that CHED is a steady partner when it comes to sports in universities and colleges,” ani Velasco.
Samantala, sa isang pagpupulong, sinabi ni University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) executive director Rebo Saguisag at Season 83 president Nonong Calano na nakatakda ang UST na tapusin ang imbestigasyon sa kanilang basketball squad.
