DBM pangungunahan ngayong araw ang bloodletting drive sa gitna ng pagsirit ng sakit na dengue

PINANGUNAHAN kahapon, araw ng Martes Oktubre 8 ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) ang Dugtong Buhay Movement isang bloodletting activity sa Naval Station, Ernesto Ogbinar, Poro Point sa San Fernando, La Union.
Sinabi ng DBM na layon ng aktibidad na mangolekta ng blood donations mula sa mga volunteers mula sa iba’t ibang ahensiya upang makapagbigay ng tulong sa mga taong nangangailangan ng duo lalo na’t napaulat ang pagtaas sa kaso ng dengue.
“This is especially because the latest data from the Department of Health shows that the recorded cases of dengue this year have reached 208,000, which is 68 percent higher than in 2023,” ayon sa DBM.
Ang aktibidad ay alinsunod sa Republic Act 7719 o National Blood Services Act of 1994, na nagpo-protestang ng voluntary blood donation upang matiyak ang ligtas at sapat na suplay.
Ang Dugtong Buhay Movement ay binubuo ng DBM, Philippine Coast Guard, at Philippine Red Cross, sa pakikipagtulungan sa Philippine National Police, Philippine Navy, Philippine Air Force, at Provincial Government ng La Union.
Inaasahan naman ang 400 donors na makikiisa sa bloodletting campaign. (Daris Jose)
