Drugstores, pharmacies at hospitals, kailangang maglagay ng maximum retail price sa mga gamot – DoH

Aabot umano sa pitong milyong Pinoy ang makikinabang sa bagong pirmang Executive Order (EO) No. 104 kaugnay ng Maximum Drug Retail Price (MDRP) sa mga gamot.
Sa EO na kapipirma ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, mababawasan ng halos 58 percent ang retail prices ng nasa 87 high cost medicines.
Dahil dito, agad daw mag-iisyu ng Administrative Order ang Department of Health (DoH) para siguruhing maipatutupad ng maayos ang EO sa MDRP.
Ang retail ay kailangan na ring ipatupad sa public at private drug retail outlets kasama na ang chain at independent drugstores, hospital pharmacies, health maintenance organizations at iba pang outlets sa loob ng 90 days.
Kasabay nito, isasagawa na rin ng DoH ang dissemination sa implementing guidelines sa mga stakeholders.
Ang mga lalabag sa price caps ay mahaharap daw sa kasong paglabag sa Cheaper Medicines Act at iba pang batas na lalabag sa panuntunan ng Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) at Food and Drugs Administration (FDA).
