GSIS, magbibigay ng financial aid sa 11 gov’t LIGTAS COVID centers

Inanunsiyo ni Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) president at General Manager Rolando Ledesma Macasaet na magbibigay na rin sila ng financial assistance na aabot sa P700,000 sa 11 government Local Isolation and General Treatment Areas for COVID-19 cases o tinatawag na LIGTAS COVID centers.
Ang COVID center ay community isolation unit na nakalagay sa isang barangay, municipality, city o kaya probinsiya na nagsisilbing temporary shelter sa mga COVID-19 cases na nangangailangan ng quarantine o kaya ay isolation.
Tinukoy ng state pension fund ang 11 mga LIGTAS COVID centers na mabibiyayaan ng halos isang milyong piso na tulong pinansiyal ang mga nasa high-risk geographic areas sa National Capital Region, Region III o Central Luzon (except Aurora), Region IV-A o CALABARZON, Pangasinan, Benguet, Iloilo, Cebu, Bacolod City, Davao City, Albay, at Zamboanga City.
Ayon sa GSIS president, makakatulong ang P700,000 sa pagbili ng supplies at mga resources sa mga patient care equipment, tulad ng hygiene kits, handwashing facilities, oxygen support, maintenance at medication sa mga COVID patients.
“This corporate social responsibility initiative aims to enable local government units to prevent further transmission and manage cases of COVID-19 at the family and community levels,” ani Macasaet. “The centers will be selected by lead agencies, DOH and DILG.”
