Masaya sa tinatakbo ng career ni Dolly: JAKE, gumagawa na rin ng ingay sa Hollywood

NAG-CELEBRATE ng kauna-unahang drag journey anniversary ang Drag Race Philippines Season 1 winner na si Precious Paula Nicole. 

Isang thanksgiving show ang hinandog ni Precious na may title na “Precious Journey-versary” sa Empty Stomach noong nakaraang linggo.

On Instagram, pinost ni Precious ang ilang unforgettable moments ng gabing iyon.

“Lubos na pasasalamat sa lahat ng dumalo sa ating first Precious Journey-versary. Sana ito ay una lang sa marami pa. Life is short, kaya i-enjoy natin lagi ang buhay natin kasi hindi natin alam kung sa’n tayo dadalhin nito. Basta ako, I’m really grateful na dinala kayong lahat sa ‘kin,” sey ni Paula.

Sinamahan at sinuportahan si Precious ng ibang drag artists tulad nila Popstar Bench, O-A, Aries Night, Kieffy Nicole, Ally Nicole, and Winter Sheason.

Kinoronahan bilang first ever Drag Race Superstar Philippines si Precious noong October 2021. Nagtayo si Precious ng Precious Foundation, isang non-governmental organization dedicated to helping and supporting the Golden Gays.

Matagal nang tumutulong si Precious sa Golden Gays na mga nagsimula ng drag culture sa Pilipinas.

MASAYA ang international Filipino actor na si Jake Macapagal sa tinatakbo ng career ni Dolly de Leon.

Naikuwento ni Jake na naging instrumento siya kung bakit nakasama sa cast ng international film na ‘Triangle of Sadness’ si Dolly kunsaan nakitaan ito ng husay sa pag-arte at tumanggap ng kabi-kabilang parangal at acting nominations.

“I was part of the casting process. I acted as a casting director, I put a roster of theater actors in my list, and one of them is Dolly de Leon. The film’s casting director Pauline Hansson created a team of casting directors here in the Philippines,” sey ni Jake na noon pa raw ay bilib na sa husay ni Dolly.

Si Jake naman ngayon ang gumagawa ng ingay dahil sa pagkakasama niya sa cast ng Hollywood series na ‘No Escape.’ Isa itong “fast-paced mystery-thriller about travelers on a yacht whose blissful lives turn into a nightmare when one of them disappears.”

Ginagampanan ni Jake ang role bilang si Justin Reyes at kinunan ang series sa Thailand. Nag-premiere ito sa Paramount+ sa United Kingdom.

“If you’ve been deprived for years, you visualize yourself to be on an international set with an international cast. With diverse people in the community working together to create a TV series or film, it was surreal,” sey ni Jake na nagbida sa cirtically-acclaimed British films na ‘Metro Manila’ in 2013.

Big break ni Jake ay noong mapasama siya sa cast ng Miss Saigon in Germany and the U.K. noong 1994. Nakagawa naman siya ng mga magagandang pelikula sa Pilipinas tulad ng Compound, Foster Child, Kid Kulafu, Posas, Sa Gabing Nanahimik Ang Mga Kuliglig, at Watch List.

Sa edad na 56, patuloy pa rin daw ang dasal ni Jake na makilala ang husay ng Filipino actors globally.

“We’re all catching the wave. I hope it paves the way for more Filipinos. I know that Filipinos are very talented and hardworking so whatever we’re doing, you’re doing, I’m doing my part, it will lead to an opening or a window for other people.”
