VIOLA DAVIS, most-nominated Black actress sa history ng Academy Awards; ‘Mank’, pinakamaraming nominations sa ‘93rd Oscar Awards’

ANG pelikulang “Mank” ang nakakuha ng pinakamaraming nominations para sa 93rd Academy Awards or the Oscars.

In-announce ang official list of nominees noong March 15 ng mag-asawang Nick Jonas at Priyanka Chopra-Jonas.

Ten nominations ang nakuha ng black & white film na “Mank” including Best Picture, Actor in a Leading Role, Supporting Actress and Directing.

Tig-anim anim naman na nominations ang nakuha ng iba pang best picture nominess na “The Father”, “Judas and the Black Messiah”, “Minari”, “Nomadland”, “Sound of Metal” at “The Trial of the Chicago 7”.

For the first time in Oscar history ay dalawang female directors an nominated as Best Director: Chloe Zhao for Nomadland at Emerald Fennell for Promising Young Woman. Naging diverse din ang nominees sa acting category dahil sa pag-nominate sa dalawang Korean actors at limang Black actors which includes Viola Davis na most-nominated Black actress in the history of the Academy Awards.

The Oscars 2021 will air live on April 25 on ABC and will be televised live in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide.
