VP Sara: Panukala ng ACT na mag-hire ng 30K guro, imposible

TINAWAG na ‘imposible’ at ‘hindi reyalistiko’ ni Vice President at Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Sara Duterte ang pagha-hire ng 30,000 public school teachers, gayundin ang budget na P100 bilyon kada taon.
Ang pahayag ay ginawa ni Duterte kasunod ng panawagan ng Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) sa DepEd na mag-hire ng 30,000 guro kada taon, hanggang sa taong 2028, upang makamit ang ideal class size na 35 mag-aaral.
Naniniwala rin si Duterte na ang pahayag ng ACT ay naglalayong i-divert ang atensiyon ng publiko mula sa NPA-initiated violence sa Masbate.
“ACT Teachers, while silent about the NPA operations, apparently needed to come up with something outrageous to divert the public’s attention away from the damage that the NPA attacks caused to our Masbate learners,” aniya pa.
Para sa kaalaman ng publiko, sinabi pa ng bise presidente na layunin ng DepEd na mag-hire ng karagdagang teaching at non-teaching personnel ngayong taon.
Nakatakda rin silang mag-deploy ng mas maraming school administrative officers para mag-complement sa workforce at bawasan ang administrative tasks ng mga guro.
“The Marcos administration will not be pressured, hoodwinked, or distracted by groups like ACT Teachers,” anang bise presidente.
Ang panawagan ay ginawa ng ACT sa kasagsagan ng NPA-initiated violence sa anim na bayan ng Masbate na nakaapekto sa mahigit 55,199 mag-aaral at 2,815 school personnel. (Daris Jose)
