HELPER PINAGSASAKSAK NG TAXI DRIVER

Posted on: December 24th, 2020 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

Diego Ngippol at P/Cpl.

(Richard Mesa)

StarStruck season 5 First Princess Diva Montelaba na-trauma nang ma-infect ng COVID-19

Posted on: December 24th, 2020 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

“Well, I’m taking more (natural) Vitamin C more than ever. Getting a lot of sun, like running outside.

“I also do lots of reading, caring for my plants, watching stand-up comedy, podcasts and zoom calls with family cause’ mental health is just as important as physical health.

Dahil nagkaroon ng maraming time si Rovilson to bond with family, perfect moment daw ang pagkakataong ito to get to know his father.

Heto ang pinost niya sa Facebook last December 9:

“I’ll remember 2020 as the time I got to spend, hang, learn and just bond with my dad. We were never close, he was always the “strong, silent” type. A military man. I’m amazed at all his incredible stories of hardship, growth, sacrifice and pure luck; from scavenging for scraps of food as a child during the Japanese occupation of the Philippines and eluding soldiers, to supporting the family at a young age (grandfather died in the Bataan Death March) sending/paying for his sisters to attend college and running the household, to fighting the relentless North Vietnamese Army in the Mekong River Delta, to almost missing his wedding in Dagupan cause he was quarantined for days in Manila for Agent Orange exposure and had no way of calling my mom to let her know he was alive! (But he made it, just hours before the wedding. That’s another incredible story 😳) to the great American cliché of “arriving in America with just $10 in his pocket” (he had $10 but sleeping in the YMCA took $2 his first night). I swear my dad’s life is Forrest Gump. But replace shrimp boat captain with Electrical Engineer(in a fledgling town full of dreams and cherry orchards later to be known as “Silicon Valley”), replace ping pong champ with Chess champion and making an incredibly fortuitous windfall from @apple stocks. Just like Forrest Gump. And just like Forrest Gump, my dad has the biggest heart and is the most generous man I’ve ever known. So many people have gone to school/college because of my dad(and I don’t just mean his four spoiled sons). You know when you always say to yourself, “I swear my life is a movie,” well my dad’s life story is definitely my favorite adventure film. Oh, and next year he’ll be celebrating his 50th Wedding anniversary with my mom. They don’t make guys like him like they used to anymore(he still rolls his sleeves up like a Navy man). So ya, that’s my dad. What a bad ass. ❤️🎥 🍿🍎”

For 2021, wish ni Rovilson “to be more brave” and “for the Philippines to be the great country it is destined to be and its citizens to realize that.”

“The whole experience was very traumatic. It seems like any asymptomatic with strong personality such as myself can handle it very well but its really mental torture than physical.

“Having to fight my anxiety is an everyday struggle. I can’t sleep, can’t function well, it’s just horrifying.

“Even after the experience, it was so hard to go back to the normal routine.

“As I’ve said, trauma is still there and it’s hard to fight. With the help of family and friends, day by day, I try to overcome it and try to move on.

“My family has been very supportive. They’re the reasons why I got through it. If anything, they were more supportive than ever. I am very grateful.”

“This pandemic has to be taken seriously. Because it’s not all about you, it’s our family and friends that we need to think about especially their safety and wellness.”

“May 2021 be a better year for everyone and for our COVID-19 cases to at least go down especially here in the Philippines. Stopping it is a bit hard as of the moment, so at least lessening down the cases would still be better.

“Maybe if the situation is already okay and we will be given the vaccine, I would love to travel again, spend more time with my family and friends and just explore life again but with the new norm and new lessons that we’ve learned during this pandemic.”

“#TBT. 1993. This little nugget started our family and rocked my world,” caption pa ng 62-year old actress.

Kasalukuyang ginagawa niya ang pelikulang French Exit at sisimulan niya next year ang Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania for Marvel Studios. (RUEL MENDOZA)
