DOTr: 143 social tourist port ang nakumpleto

May 143 na social at tourism port projects ang natapos ng gawin ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) na magbibigay ng benipisyo sa mga coastal communities, mangingisda at turista sa buong bansa.

Ang nasabing proyekto ay isa sa mga highlights ng administasyong Duterte na naglalayon na magbibigay ng equitable growth at development sa bansa lalo na sa mga malalayong lugar sa pamamagitan ng mga naitayong mga daungan.

“President Duterte said the growth and development of the economy should not be limited to big areas. A convenient and comfortable life should be attained, especially in areas which have been neglected and forgotten,” wika ni DOTr Secretary Tugade.

Ang 143 na seaport projects ay ang mga ginawa at tinayong bago at modernized social at tourism ports habang ang iba naman ports ay inaayos at pinalalaki ang dati nang mga daungan upang masiguro na mas madaling puntahan ng mga mangingisda at turista ang mga coastal communities sa bansa.

“The projects address the needs of coastal communities and fishers with better port facilities as well as improve the country’s connectivity and mobility needs,” dagdag ni Tugade.

Sa ngayon, ang DOTr at Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) ay may kabuohang 484 na seaport projects sa buong bansa ang natapos na at nakapagbigay ng 3, 871 na trabaho sa mga Filipino. Mayron pa rin na 100 na iba pang seaport projects ang ginagawa sa kasalukuyan.

Kasama sa proyekto ang Zamboanga Port na nagkaron ng inagurasyon noong nakaraang December 2 habang tuloy-tuloy pa rin ang ginagawang Passenger Terminal Building. Ang bagong PTB ay makakapaglaman ng may 4,500 na pasahero mula sa dating 800 na pasahero lamang. LASACMAR

PBA nakahanda sakaling lumala ang kaso ng Omicron sa bansa

Pinaghahandaan na ng Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) ang posibleng pagdami ng kaso ng Omicron coronavirus variant.

Sinabi ni PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial na kung anumang ang maging kautusan ng gobyerno na itigil ang mga pagkakaroon ng live audience sa kanilang laro ay kanilang susundin bilang pag-iingat na rin dahil sa mas mabilis na makahawa ang nasabing variant.

Handa aniya silang magpatupad ng semi-bubble o bubble type.

Nagawa na rin aniya nila ito noong unang manalasa ang COVID-19 sa bansa noong Marso 2020 kung saan natigil ang mga laro at matapos ang ilang buwan ay nagpatupad sila ng bubble type na mga laro.

Keanu Reeves Tries to Explain the Difference Between Thomas Anderson and Neo

KEANU Reeves has some trouble explaining the difference between Thomas Anderson and Neo, his characters in the Matrix franchise.

The newest film in the series, The Matrix: Resurrections, will be released in theatres and on HBO Max on December 22. This is the anticipated return of the sci-fi franchise, which began with The Matrix in 1999 and ended with The Matrix: Resolutions in 2003. In his triumphant return, 57-year-old Reeves did some dangerous stunt work.

The Matrix is about a man named Thomas Anderson who learns that his reality is only a simulation. In the process of learning that his life was an experiment, he learns that his actual name is Neo. There is an iconic scene in which Laurence Fishburne‘s character, Morpheus, offers Neo a red pill and a blue pill. The former would reveal the truth about his reality and the latter would allow him to go back into his everyday life in the simulation. Neo chooses the red pill. In the trailer for Resurrections, Morpheus once again offers Neo a red pill and a blue pill and he chooses the red.

On The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the host asked Reeves whether he views the character as Thomas Anderson or Neo.

Reeves responded, “He’s Thomas Anderson Neo.” Colbert then asked what the difference between the two men is and Reeves responded, “One is Thomas Anderson and one is Neo.” Reeves then goes on to attempt to give an accurate answer.

“Thomas Anderson is in his real life but he is actually in The Matrix and then Neo exists in a digital computer-generated reality, but then is also living in the real world so it’s Thomas Anderson and Neo. But he was born as Thomas Anderson.”

To be fair, it’s not an easy question to answer, especially since the characters are, in some ways, one and the same. Colbert offered his own interpretation, which Reeves enthusiastically agreed with: while the character may have initially been given the name Thomas Anderson at birth, he wasn’t really “born” until he was freed from the illusion of Thomas Anderson and accepted reality outside the Matrix as Neo. The Matrix films are renowned for their philosophical themes, so the somewhat complicated explanation is in keeping with the franchise’s tone.

Overall, it seems like Reeves was trying to say the differences between Thomas Anderson and Neo have to do with each character’s knowledge, journey, and growth. Is Neo truly a different person than Thomas Anderson, even though they share a body? How much does internal transformation factor into identity?

These are some of the big themes that the franchise grapples with, and the Matrix movies don’t always give viewers an easy answer, which could be why Reeves struggled to articulate his answer. But, even though it’s funny to watch Reeves’ brain break a little bit, it proves that the meaning of The Matrix is open to interpretation and there’s no right answer when it comes to how viewers see these characters.

MATAPOS ang apat na dekada sa public service, pormal na magreretiro na si Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte sa pulitika.

Sa katunayan ay umatras na rin ito na tumakbo sa pagka-senador sa pamamagitan ng pagwi-withdraw ng kanyang Certificate of Candidacy (COC).

Sinabi ni acting Presidential Spokesperson at Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles na ilalaan ng Pangulo ang kanyang oras at panahon sa kanyang pamilya at i-enjoy ang pribilehiyo bilang private citizen.

Giit ni Nograles, personal decision ng Pangulo ang pag-atras nito na tumakbo sa pagka-senador kasunod ng pag-atras naman sa presidential race ni Senador Christopher “Bong” Go.

“Siyempre, as a retired government worker siya po ay babalik sa kanyang private life and spend time with his family,”ayon kay Nograles.

Itinanggi naman ni Nograles na ang desisyon ng Pangulo na umatras na tumakbo sa pagka-senador ay para lituhin ang publiko at mga kandidato.

Sa katunayan, ang mga supporters, political parties, at maging ang mga politicians mula sa iba’t ibang partido ay kinukumbinsi ang Chief Executive na tumakbo at ipagpatuloy ang kanyang pagseserbisyo sa mga tao.

“Even after he filed, di ba maraming mga kandidato , political parties are already endorsing him for Senate. So, marami talaga, nandoon iyong pressure na gusto nila magpatuloy si Pangulong Duterte but at the end of the day, it is always personal choice for any who runs or files candidacy in whatever position,” ayon kay Nograles.

At dahil ngayon aniya na hindi na kailangang sumama ang Pangulo sa campaign trail, opisyal na magsisimula sa Pebrero ay makakapag-focus na aniya ang Pangulo sa COVID response.

“He can focus more on safely reopening our economy, he can focus more on continuing, if not stepping up more of the public service,” dagdag na pahayag nito.

“Lahat ng pagbabago, lahat ng mga magagandang programa na nasimulan niya ay kaya na niyang, mas lalo pa niyang masigurado na, these are all put in place and implemented towards the end of his term as president,”aniya pa rin.

Nais din aniya ng Pangulo na “we will have peaceful, transparent, and fair elections this coming May 2022.”

Travel ban sa 8 bansa, ikinasa na ng Pilipinas

PINAGBAWALAN na ng Pilipinas ang mga biyahero mula sa 8 territories sa layuning iiwas ang bansa sa matinding mutated Omicron COVID-19 variant.

Epektibo Dec. 16 hanggang 31, ang mga biyahero mula sa mga sumusunod na “high-risk” areas na bahagi ng tinatawag na “Red List” ay pagbabawalan na makapasok ng Pilipinas.

Ang mga bansang ito ani acting Presidential Spokesperson at Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles ay ang Andorra, France, Monaco, Northern Mariana Islands, Reunion, San Marino, South Africa at Switzerland.

“The restriction covers everyone who has been to these 8 areas in the last 14 days, regardless of their vaccination status,” ayon kay Nograles.

Tanging ang mga Filipino lamang na magbabalik sa bansa sa pamamagitan ng repatriation efforts at “Bayanihan” flights ang exempted mula sa travel ban.

“To all those who plan to come home during the holidays, we humbly request your patience as we in the IATF continue to make modifications to our protocols. These are all being done in response to evolving situations in the world,” anito.

BAGO tuluyang umalis ang Kapuso royal couple na sina Dingdong Dantes at Marian Rivera sa Eilat, Israel, na pinagganapan ng 70^th Miss Universe pageant, nag-post muna siya sa Instagram ng pasasalamat sa kanyang asawa.

Capption ni Marian, “Before this trip ends I’d like to thank the best husband I could ask for – from being my cheerleader to waterboy, thank you for everything that you do for us. Thanks for creating memories with me so that we can look back at them together! Love you!”

Nagpasalamat din si Marian sa mga naging friends niya roon sa loob ng ilang days stay nila sa Israel, at sa mga nabuo niyang memories doon. “Hope to be back someday.”

Hindi rin nalimutang pasalamatan ni Marian si Ms. Paula Shugart, ang new president of the Miss Universe Organization na pumili sa kanya at mapasama all female judges, “it was great meeting you @realpaulashugart. Dahil sa dumaraming kaso ng cybercrime kaya muling nagpaalala at nagbigay ng tips ang Philippine National Police (PNP) upang maiwasang mabiktima ng mga ito.

“Avoid unsecured Wi-Fi hotspots; set your device so that it doesn’t automatically connect to external sources”.

Isa ito sa ibinahaging paalala at tips ng Philippine National Police (PNP) sa publiko. Kasunod ito sa mga ulat nang pagka-hack sa account ng isang banko.

Ayon sa PNP kailangan na maging maingat ang social media users sa pag-’accept’ sa mga hindi kilalang nagpapadala ng friend requests dahil kadalasang gumagawa ang cyber criminals ng pekeng account upang makipagkaibigan sa mga potensyal na biktima.

“Trust no online friends unless you know them personally,” anang PNP. Pinayuhan naman ng PNP ang publiko na huwag umanong tumugon sa mga mensaheng ito.

KAPWA nasa quarantine facilities na ang dalawang byahero na tinamaan ng Omicron variant.

Sinabi ni acting Presidential Spokesperson at Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles na ipinaalam na sa Office of the President ang dalawang kaso ng Omicron variant na natuklasan ngayon sa Pilipinas.

“As earlier reported by the Department of Health, the variant was detected among two recent travelers to the Philippines, both of whom are presently in quarantine facilities,” ayon kay Nograles.

Pinuri naman ng Malakanyang ang mga health experts, particukular na ang Department of Health, University of the Philippines – Philippine Genome Center at ang University of the Philippines – National Institutes of Health para sa maaga nilang pagkakatuklas sa dalawang kasong nabanggit.

Sa kasalukuyan, isinasagawa na ang active case finding at contact tracing para madetermina ang health condition ng mga co-passengers ng confirmed cases.

“This early detection forms part of our Prevent-Detect-Isolate-Treat-Reintegrate (PDITR) strategy that has been in place all throughout the pandemic,” aniya pa rin.

Samantala, tiniyak naman ng Malakanyang sa publiko na masusing imo-monitor ng gobyerno ang developments ng dalawang kaso bunsod na rin ng umiiral na protocols,

NAALARMA na si Regine Velasquez-Alcasid sa pagkalat ng fake socmed account ng anak nila ni Ogie Alcasid na si Nate.

Kaya naman sa Instagram post niya ay nakikiusap ang Songbird na i-report pag may nakitang account ni Nate tulad ng @booboobear_nate:

“Hi guys makikiusap sana ako na kung may makita kayong mga account sa pangalan ni Nate please help me report them. Actually marami ng accounts ang ginawa for Nate sa Facebook sa IG na walang pahintulot namin.

“Alam ko naman na basta na post na ang pictures eh kahit sino pwede na gamitin yun. Pero hindi ibig sabihin nun na ok lang sakin o sa asawa ko. Hindi ko na lang pinapansin yung ibang account kasi ang hirap din for us na hanapin pa lahat.

“You can post naman his pictures kasi nga like i said once ma–post hindi na talaga mapipigilan. I guess hindi ako masyadong comfortable sa mga gumagawa ng accounts para sa kanya. Hindi naman sya artista kaya hindi ko talaga maatim itong mga accounts na ito.

“Sorry but im just trying to protect my son. So please please if you guys don’t mind stop na. Itong tiktok account na to ilang beses ko na ito ini–report and I’m gonna keep reporting you or whoever na gagawa pa ng iba pang account para kay Nate.

“If you guys noticed I hardly post his pictures na kasi nga binibigyan na namin sya ng privacy. Again nakikiusap ako na pag may makita kayong account ni Nate please report and don’t follow na. God Bless!”

Agad naman nag-react ang mga followers niya sa IG at nagsabing tutulong sila sa pagre-report ng mga fake accounts ni Nate, na ‘yun iba ay akala nila ay totoo, kaya pina-follow pa nila at nagla-like.

Bukod sa IG post, nag-tweet din si Regine ng kanyang saloobin tungkol sa ginagawang fake accounts ng netizens na maging siya ay naging biktima.

Post niya, “Also gusto ko din sabihin na kung payagan ko na sya magkaron ng sarili nyang acc he can’t even use his name. Parang aki parang ngayon ko pa lang nagamit yung name ko. Kasi kinuha nyo na hay.”

“Ang hindi ko gusto kasi yung ginagamit name nya. Why because for the longest time hindi ko magamit yung sarili kong pangalan dahil ginamit nyo na. I just don’t want him to experience that. I also don’t want people exploiting MY pix of him. You guys are breaking heart.”

“Ok sinasabi nyo na if we wanted privacy for him dapat wala syang YouTube acc the point is that acc is his he ask us if can have one plus we have a group of people producing them most of all it’s with our supervision ok. That’s his not someone using his name and stealing my pix.”
