SINABI ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. na tinatayang may 3,000 job opportunity ang aasahan sa pagsisimula ng  South Commuter Railway Project (SCRP) sa  North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) System.

Sa naging talumpati ng Pangulo sa  isinagawang contract signing ng SCRP  ng NSCR System for the Contract Packages S-01, S-03A at S-03C sa Palasyo ng Malakanyang, araw ng Huwebes, sinabi ni Pangulong Marcos na ang  railway project ay  “realization of a more efficient and inclusive public transportation system.”

“Now, as we hold the signing of Contract Packages S-01, S-03A, and S-03C, we continue to show  the commitment to realizing the dream of a more efficient and inclusive public transportation system that every Filipino deserves,” ayon sa Pangulo.

“I am also happy to note that we are anticipating the generation of approximately 3,000 jobs once civil works for these sections begin,” ayon sa Pangulo.

Sa kabilang dako, kinilala naman ng Pangulo ang kalagayan ng mga  informal settler families  na maaapektuhan ng pagtatayo ng  railway system “as well as the disturbances that the construction of the NSCR system will cause.”

“So, we are continuously conscious in the national government and of course the local governments to ensure that those needing assistance are attended to,”  ayon sa Chief Executive.

“These are the inevitable consequences of these large projects, but it is something that we have to go through if we are going to complete the projects as they have been designed and we will – to be able to reap the benefits in the longer term,” aniya pa rin.

Nanawagan din ang Pangulo sa lahat ng may kinalaman sa proyekto na kompletuhin ang  “monumental task for the benefit of the generations to come,” hiniling naman niya sa mga ito  na patuloy na magpasensiya at unawain ang proyekto.

“I know that it is our collective longing to create a society that works for the people and that will open bigger opportunities for our children. So, let us all remain united in this endeavor as we pursue initiatives with the long-term end in mind,” ani Pangulong Marcos.

“We look at these contract packages with great optimism and renewed hope for our country’s future,” aniya pa rin.

“The sections covered by the contract that was signed will be completed in cooperation with the PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk and PT PP (Persero) Tbk Joint Venture, the Leighton Contractors (Asia) Ltd., and the First Balfour Inc. Joint Venture,” ayon sa Malakanyang. (Daris Jose)
