Pamilya Teves, umalma sa pagtukoy sa kanila bilang mga terorista

UMALMA si dating Negros Oriental Gov. Pryde Henry Teves sa pagtukoy sa kanila ng Anti-Terrorism Council bilang mga terorista.

Una rito, sa inilabas na ATC Resolution 43, tahasang binanggit ang mga pangalan nina Rep. Arnulfo Teves, ex-Gov. Pryde Teves, dati nilang bodyguard na si Marvin Miranda at 10 iba pa.

Ayon sa dating gobernador, nalulungkot sila sa development na ito at tiniyak na gagawin ang angkop na legal na hakbang para malinis ang kanilang pangalan.

Sa ngayon, kumukonsulta na umano sila sa kanilang mga abogado para sa susunod na aksyon.

Binigyang diin naman ni Gov. Teves na minsan siyang naging biktima ng terorismo nang may magpasabog sa gusali ng Kamara noong taong 2007, ngunit siya naman ay hindi raw kailanman naging terorista.

Sa ngayon, hindi umano sila nagkakausap ng kaniyang kapatid na si Rep. Arnie, pero inamin nitong tinatawagan siya paminsan-minsan ng suspendidong mambabatas para sa ilang personal concerns. (Daris Jose)

Kasal nila ni Abby, sa November na: JOMARI, gagarahe na dahil kasama na ang ‘the one I love’

TULOY na tuloy na pala ang civil wedding nina Paranaque City Councilor Jomari Yllana at Abby Viduya ngayong November 2023.

Sa media launch para sa Motorsport Carnivale 2023 na ginanap sa Okada Manila, una itong naikuwento ni Abby, na super excited na sa wedding nila ni Joms na gaganapin sa Las Vegas, Nevada.

Pagkatapos nito ay magkakaroon naman sila ng church wedding sa Our Lady of Peñafrancia Shrine sa Naga City at ang kanilang time frame ay end of 2024 or early 2025.

Si Jomari raw ang nag-aasikaso ng kanilang kasal, dahil ayaw ng aktor na ma-stress si Abby.

Kuwento naman kay Jomari, “we’re very very happy. We doing everything together.

“Ako, okey na ako, gagarahe na ako. I’m doing what I love and I’m together with the one I love.”

Samantala, magsisimula ang pinakamalaking motorsport event sa Pilipinas sa mga taon sa araw na ito, Agosto 2 sa The Boardwalk ng Okada Manila sa Paranaque City.

Presented ng Okada Manila, ang Motorsport Carnivale 2023 ay isang 5-day sporting event na pinangungunahan ng Philippine Rallycross Series na inaasahang magtitipon ng mahigit 50 racer papunta sa Tarlac at pabalik.

Iba pang mga highlights, ang CART, na isang Car Meet in memory of Eduardo ‘Mang Ed’ del Rosario, ang founding father ng Cavite Auto Racing Team, na tinatayang magtitipon ng mga collectors ng rare racing cars at motorsport gadgets, isang Autocross Race, na nagtatampok ng hindi bababa sa 150 kotse sa Linggo (Aug. 6), ay may champagne popping pa.

Gaganapin ang awarding ceremonies sa Okada Manila sa Agosto 6 na kung saan tatanggap ng special award sina Richard Gomez at Matteo Guidicelli na parehong racing enthusiast.

Pangungunahan nga ito ni Jomari, na matagal nang mahilig sa karera, na umaasang maibabalik ang glory days ng mga motorsport sa bansa, bilang pagtukoy sa panahon kung kailan ginanap ang Philippine Grand Prix sa Maynila mula 1973 hanggang 1976.

Ayon pa actor-turned-politician, gusto niyang hikayatin ang mga Pilipino na yakapin ang mayamang kasaysayan ng Philippines motorsport sa pamamagitan ng pagsasama-sama ng lahat ng mga mahilig sa karera at panatiko sa isang komunidad.

Hindi na nga bago sa naturang sport si Jomari, nanalo at nakapuwesto sa ilang lokal na karera at siya ang first Filipino podium finisher sa Yeongam International Circuit sa South Korea noong 2014.

Siya rin ang principal driver ng pro racing team na Yllana Racing.

PINAALALAHANAN ni Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) Chairperson Lala Sotto-Antonio kamakailan ang lahat ng Television (TV) Networks, Blocktimers, Program Producers, at Distributors na tiyaking ang mga suot ng mga talent ay ligtas at angkop sa performances.

Inilabas ng MTRCB ang Memorandum bunsod ng magkakasunod na wardrobe malfunctions na namataan ng Ahensiya sa ilang live TV programs.

Binigyan-diin ni Sotto-Antonio na ang MTRCB “ay kumikilala sa aksidente ng wardrobe malfunction pero, gayunpaman, ang MTRCB Board ay mariing nagpapaalala sa mga stakeholder na doble-ingat sa gitna ng madalas na pagkasira ng wardrobe ng ating mga performer at talent.”

“Binabalaan ang lahat na sakaling maulit ang mga kahalintulad na sakuna ay lalapatan ng mas mabigat na parusa,” dagdag niya.

Ayon sa Section 8, Chapter V ng Implementing Rules and Regulations of the Presidential Decree No. 1986, ang mga live television programs tulad ng noontime variety shows at talk shows, ay kinakailangan na mag-superimpose ng katagang Parental Guidance (PG) sa TV screen sa buong airing ng programa. Ang superimposition ng naturang rating ay bilang paalala sa mga magulang at TV stakeholder na maging mapagmatyag at mabigyan ng pansin ang content na maaaring hindi angkop sa mga kabataan, lalunat ang mga programa sa telebisyon ay umeere ng live.

Magandang birthday gift sa Kapuso actress: BARBIE, nanalo na naman ng Best Actress dahil sa pagganap bilang Klay

NAGING isang magandang birthday gift kay Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza last July 31, ang patuloy niyang pananalo ng acting awards sa pagganap niya as Klay sa “Maria Clara at Ibarra” na kasama niya sina Dennis Trillo, Julie Anne San Jose at David Licauco.

On Instagram, Barbie posted a photo of her Best Drama Actress trophy at ang pasasalamat niya sa bumubuo ng Golden Laurel Batangas Media Awards 2023 sa pagkilala sa kanyang pagganap.

Nagpasalamat din si Barbie dahil kinilala rin nilang Best Drama Series ang “Maria Clara at Ibarra.”

Napansin daw ng ilang Kapamilya na hindi nagpo-promote sa said show ang cast ng programang “Pira-Pirasong Paraiso” nina Elisse Joson, Charlie Dizon, Loisa Andalio at Alexa Ilacad, at “Nag-aapoy na Damdamin” nina JC de Vera, Jane Oineza, Ria Atayde at Tony Labrusca.

“Umeere kasi sa GTV Channel ng GMA ang “It’s Showtime,” kaya kahit na may partnership na ang GMA Network at ABS-CBN ay hindi naman in partnership ang GMA at TV5. Ang dalawang TV shows ay produced ng TV5 in partnership with ABS CBN.

MANANATILING Kapamilya si Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano, matapos niya muling pumirma ng exclusive contract sa ABS CBN last week kasabay ng pagdiriwang niya ng kanyang ika-40 years na in showbiz.

Ayon kay Gary, labis niyang pinahahalagahan ang pagiging isang Kapamilya, “When you say Kapamilya, it’s not just a tagline we add to ourselves. KINILIG ang netizens sa pinost na sweet birthday message ni Doug Kramer sa kanyang wifey na si Chesca Garcia-Kramer.

Marami ang naiinggit sa Team Kramer, hindi lang dahil sa marami silang endorsements, kundi sa pagiging happy family nila.

Parating kasama nina Doug at Chesca ang kanilang mga anak na sina Kendra, Scarlett at Gavin. Kakauwi nga lang nila mula sa isang buwang bakasyon sa Europe.

“TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: MUTANT MAYHEM” EARNS 97% FRESH RATING ON ROTTEN TOMATOES, FINAL TRAILER RELEASED

This is bonkers, yo!

The first reviews for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem are in, and they’re pretty gnarly… in the most awesome way possible. The film, directed by Jeff Rowe (Oscar-nominated The Mitchells vs. the Machines) and written by a team that includes Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, currently has a 97% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

It features a star-studded voice cast that includes Jackie Chan, Rose Byrne, Hannibal Buress, John Cena, Ice Cube, Natasia Demetriou, Ayo Edebiri, Giancarlo Esposito, Post Malone, Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd and Maya Rudolph. The titular teenage mutant ninja turtles are voiced by Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr, Nicolas Cantu and Brady Noon.

The Hollywood Reporter couldn’t sing enough praises of the film as it complimented the visuals, the dialogue and the voice acting. The film “features vibrantly distinctive visuals that perfectly suit the rambunctious and frequently violent proceedings,” they said. “The dialogue proves consistently amusing (not surprising considering Rogen’s participation), and the fact that the young actors voicing the TMNTs were actually teenagers when they recorded their performances infuses a welcome youthful energy to the goings-on. The celebrity performers seem to be having a blast as well.”

“Fans will not be disappointed with any of the decisions here, notably the scattershot animation that feels rough around the edges, stylish, visually surprising and satisfying and anti-CGI blandness,” said Deadline Hollywood, who also praised the story for being “heavy on pop culture humor in all the best ways.”

Indiewire raved that Mutant Mayhem “is another fresh, funny animated outing that breathes serious new life into a classic franchise, proving that even old IP has its legs (claws?)” and called it “a genuinely entertaining film for the whole family.”

“This lively reboot is a raucous collage of influences,” said Mashable. “But whether you’re an expert on the canon or not, the movie sets up all you need to follow its flow. Deep-cut fans will surely pull out references and implications, but newbies won’t be lost amid the flood of characters, in part because their main purpose is to be a tornado of energy, action, and comedy.”

JASON STATHAM ALWAYS KEEN TO DO HIS OWN STUNTS IN “MEG 2: THE TRENCH”, SAYS DIRECTOR

ACTION star Jason Statham loves stunt work.

According to Ben Wheatley, director of “Meg 2: The Trench,” Statham is always keen to do as many of his own stunts as possible. Anytime the actor is seen powering a jet ski through the water, that is indeed Statham. Wheatley offers, “Because the physics of a face are hard to fake – you have to be upside down to really look like you are upside down – we had Jason on this kind of giant hand drill setup, and we’d pull the trigger and spin him around, firing water at his face. He wanted as few gimbal shots as possible, almost all of it is him – obviously not jumping a giant wave, but him riding a jet ski very, very quickly. And scarily, we were all at the monitors, saying, “Please come back all right!””

During an interview with Collider before filming for the sequel began, Statham talked about why he was excited to work with Wheatley, who took over directing duties from Jon Turteltaub, who helmed the surprise 2018 blockbuster, “The Meg.” Wheatley’s great, said Statham, “we have a great shorthand already. We’ve got similar taste. I like his movies, I think he’s a brilliant director. I think we’ve got a good shot at making something good.”

Just how terrifying is the action in the sequel? This time around, filmmakers were determined to out-Meg “The Meg” by creating their Apex Meg – a grizzled veteran covered in scars; the unrelenting machine of death is larger than anything conceived for the original film. Director Wheatley says, “He’s a guy who’s had loads of bar fights.”

Devising every terror-inducing act of the Megs began in the same place, according to Wheatley: “All the action with the sharks started with a pencil, me just sitting down and drawing, and thinking about what would be really fun to see. Then, I would go to our storyboard artist, Jake Lunt Davies, and together we would work out what the sequence was going to be. From there to the computer animators, who’d rough a version, then we’d cut that into the film, and then we’d go and shoot it.” Many steps would follow and the whole journey for each shark encounter – from pencil to feature – took roughly six months. For the director, once the Meg turned up in post-production, “We were like, ‘Oh. My. God!’” The entire collection of storyboards for the film wound up with nearly 5,000 drawings.

Matindi ang pinagdaanan nang madagdagan ang timbang: ALFRED, umamin na bumaba talaga ang self-esteem at nag-iba ang buhay

BILANG isang mahusay na aktres, meron pa bang role o papel na nais gampanan si Glydel Mercado na hindi pa niya nagagawa sa buong showbiz career niya?

“Actually yes, siguro yung pagkakaroon ng Schizophrenia!

“Gusto ko yung magagawa ko yung iba’t-ibang kinds of roles, na magagawa mo kasi puwede mong i-detach yung totoo mong sarili sa character na ginagawa mo.”

Sa rami na ng nagawa ni Glydel na papel sa pelikula at telebisyon ay mayroon pa pala siyang hindi nagagawa, hindi pala lahat ng papel ay naibigay na sa kanya.

“Hindi pa, yung mga nakakakita ka ng kung anu-ano tapos nagsasalita ka ng mag-isa, iyon ang gusto ko.”

Nagbigay si Glydel ng halimbawa ng mga karakter at pelikulang nais niyang gawin kung mabibigyan ng pagkakataon.

“Yung Split, yung twenty-three ang personalities niya, sikat na pelikula yun.”

Ang Split ay pelikula noong 2016 ng direktor na si M. Night Shyamalan na pinagbidahan ni James McAvoy na gumanap bilang isang lalaking may dissociative identity disorder at nagtataglay ng twenty-three personalities.

Ayon pa kay Glydel…

“Yung twenty-three personalities, totoong nangyayari sa tao yan, merong twenty-three personalities, minsan may fifty personalities, totoo yan.

“Pag nag-research ka, hindi lang multiple personalities, as in maraming personalities.”

Kasali si Glydel sa pelikulang “Unspoken Letters” na kuwento ng buhay ni Felipa (Jhassy Busran), na pinakabunso sa kanilang pamilya na may medical condition na tinatawag na Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Ang pelikula ay sa produksyon ng Utmost Creatives Motion Pictures, sa panulat at direksyon ni Gat Alaman at mga co-directors niya ang Italian director na si Paolo Bertola at ang seasoned assistant director na si Andy Andico.

MATINDI pala ang pinagdaanan ni Alfred Vargas nang madagdagan ang timbang at lumihis sa dating nakasanayan ng publiko na itsura niya; ang pagkakaroon ng matipunong katawan.

Isa si Alfred sa mga matatawag na hunk actor noong aktibung-aktibo pa siya sa paggawa ng pelikula na pinantasya at kinabaliwan ng marami.

At sa Youtube channel ni Alfred (na konsehal ng Distrito 5 ng Quezon City) ang “Vargas Tries, pwede!” ay inamin nitong bumaba ang kanyang self-esteem at na-depress dahil tumimbang siya ng 251 lbs.

Pagbabahagi ni Alfred sa unang episode ng kanyang Youtube channel…

“May aaminin ako sa inyo… there was a time bumaba talaga ang self-esteem ko, nag-iba ang buhay ko.

“I was so depressed.

“Hindi ko nahalata isang umaga pagharap ko sa salamin kahit ‘yung sarili ko hindi ko nakilala ‘yung taong nasa salamin.

Sinabi pa ni Alfred na nag-iba ang buhay niya sa paglaki ng katawan niya. Umabot siya sa punto na ang pakiramdam niya ay matandang-matanda na siya.

“Dati kapag nasa mall ako yung mga tao tatawagin ako at lalapit pa sa akin, ‘Papa Alfred!’

“Tapos lately medyo lumaki na ako, yung iba hindi na ako nakikilala tapos yung iba naman nakikilala pa ako pero ang tawag sa akin, “Tito Alfred” na.

“So what’s funny about this is hindi ko nahalata. Hanggang iyon na nga, isang umaga pagharap ko sa salamin kahit sarili ko hindi ko na nakilala kung sino yung taong nasa salamin. “And doon parang gumuho ang mundo ko and iyon ang pinaka-wake-up call ko.

“Sabi ko dapat magbago ako and this time around nag-decide ako na I will not do this for vanity, I will not do this for projects, I will do this for my children.

“Para maipakita ko sa aking mga anak kung gaano ko sila kamahal by trying to live the longest that I can.

“From 251 lbs. now I am 201 lbs.,” pagbabahagi ni Alfred tungkol sa halos tatlong taon na niyang struggle sa kanyang buhay.

Sinimulan ni Alfred ang pag-eehersisyo at ipinakita niya sa kanyang Youtube channel ang ilang ehersisyong nakatulong sa pagbaba ng kanyang timbang.

Ito ang Parkour na sa tulong ni Ms. Kate Robles, isang single mom na may katulad ding problema ni Alfred at coach Raven Cruz ay itinuro nila ang paraang ito.

Nangunang na-excite ang friend nilang si Jackielou Blanco na nag-comment ng “Mama!!!” Si @gens_kristinejoice “talagang sabay pa kayong nagpost ha. Inawit sa closing ng Ang Huling El Bimbo sa sa Newport Performing Arts theater, ang classic hit ng Parokya Ni Edgar na Harana.

Sinanbay pa sq Harana ang paglabas ng ilang simbulo na maiuugnay sa top hits ng Parokya Ni Edgar, kabilang ang gitara sa Harana, slice ng pizza sa Picha Pie, bigote para sa Mr. Suave, bote ng beer para sa Inuman Na, at manok para sa Chikinini.

May lumitaw din na nakasulat na “Abangan 2024.”

Ibinahagi ni Dingdong Novenario, nagsulat ng Ang Huling El Bimbo musical, ang video ng naturang pagtatanghal sa Facebook.
