Young Guns dinepensahan si Rep. Migs Nograles laban sa paratang ng pamumulitika

Posted on: July 10th, 2024 by @peoplesbalita No Comments
Paolo Duterte.
“We, the Young Guns, stand united in our support for Rep. Migs Nograles. Her work in ensuring that the DSWD funds reach those most in need is beyond reproach. This unfounded criticism only serves to distract from the real issues at hand and undermines the efforts of those truly working for the welfare of our citizens,” ayon kay Rep. Jil Bongalon ng Ako Bicol Partylist.
“Rep. Migs Nograles has always been a paragon of dedication and integrity in her service to the people. It is disheartening to see her commitment questioned by those who, perhaps, should reflect on their own attendance and participation in House sessions,” ayon kay Bongalon.
Sinabi naman ni Rep. Cheeno Almario ng Davao Oriental: “It is clear that Rep. Nograles’s actions have been misrepresented. The notion that she is using these funds for political gain is not only false but an insult to her dedication to public service.”
“We urge Rep. Duterte to check his facts and perhaps attend more sessions to fully grasp the complexity of our roles and the stringent processes we adhere to,” ayon kay Almario.
Binigyan diin pa ni Almario, “Rep. Duterte’s claims are not supported by the facts. The DSWD’s records and the transparency of fund allocation speak for themselves. Rep. Nograles’s efforts should be commended, not condemned. Let us work together to ensure that aid reaches those who need it most, without the distraction of baseless accusations.”
“If Rep. Duterte attended more sessions and engaged with his colleagues, he would see the transparency and rigor with which we operate. Rep. Nograles has done nothing but uphold the highest standards of integrity in her work. We must not let baseless accusations distract us from our primary mission of serving the people,” ayon pa sa mambabatas mula sa Davao Oriental.
Paliwanag naman ni Rep. Zia Alonto Adiong, “The DSWD’s distribution of aid is based on need and urgency, not on political favoritism. Rep. Nograles has consistently demonstrated her commitment to this principle. We must focus on constructive dialogue and collaboration rather than unfounded accusations that serve no one but personal agendas.”
Nakikiisa rin si Adiong sa paninindigan ng kaniyang mga kasamahan sa pagtatanggol kay Nograles: “We, the Young Guns, know firsthand the tireless work that Rep. Nograles puts into her role. The accusations leveled against her are baseless and detract from the critical work being done to support our most vulnerable citizens. It is vital that we remain focused on our legislative duties and avoid the pitfalls of political maneuvering.”
Sa panig naman ni Rep. Rodge Gutierrez ng 1-Rider Partylist, “Rep. Migs Nograles has always placed the needs of her constituents above all else. Her dedication to ensuring that DSWD funds are allocated fairly and efficiently is a testament to her commitment to public service. These unfounded accusations from Rep. Duterte only serve to undermine the hard work of those truly dedicated to helping the poor and needy.”
Dagdag pa ni Gutierrez, “The attacks on Rep. Nograles are not only baseless but also counterproductive. Her efforts to secure and distribute DSWD funds are in line with her unwavering commitment to public service. Rep. Duterte should be more aware of the facts before making such serious accusations.”
Sinabi naman ni Rep. Paolo Ortega ng La Union, “Rep. Migs Nograles’s track record speaks for itself. Her integrity and dedication to public service are evident in every action she takes. It is disappointing to see her work questioned by those who may not fully understand the processes and challenges we face.”
Habang sa panig ni Rep. Jay Khonghun ng Zambales sinabi nito na “Our focus should be on cooperation and effective governance, not on political squabbles. Rep. Nograles’s dedication to her constituents and her transparent handling of funds are commendable. We, the Young Guns, stand with her and call for a return to constructive discourse.”
Giit pa ni Khonghun, na mas mauunawaan ni Duterte ang paglaaan at distribusyon ng pondo kung aktibo siya sa pagdalo sa mga talakayan sa Kamara.
“Had Rep. Duterte been more active in House sessions, he would have appreciated the complexities of fund allocation and distribution. Rep. Nograles has always been transparent and accountable in her actions. We must move past these baseless accusations and focus on serving our constituents effectively.” (Vina de Guzman)

Organon: Championing Women’s Health at Every Life Stage

Posted on: July 9th, 2024 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

IN THE dynamic landscape of healthcare, one area that is often overlooked and under-prioritized is women’s health. This is particularly significant considering that women constitute a substantial portion of the workforce and considered the backbone of society. In the Philippines, the labor force consists of over 50 million Filipinos aged 15 years and older, with women making up 21.9 million of this total. With a labor force participation rate of 64.1% and an employment rate of 96.0% for women as of April 2024, it is evident that Filipinas play a pivotal role not only in the workforce but also in the nation’s development and resilience.

Healthcare company Organon recognizes that women’s health is a complex tapestry woven from various needs. From their teenage years, when preventing unplanned pregnancies is crucial, to their prime childbearing years and beyond, Organon offers a variety of solutions.

“Filipino women’s contribution in our society is undeniable. This is why Organon’s purpose is to create a better and healthier every day for every woman and we believe that women’s health should be prioritized at every stage of life.,” says Emmanuel Tiglao, Country Lead at Organon Philippines.

“Our diverse portfolio reflects our commitment to providing comprehensive healthcare solutions that empower women to live their best lives. From adolescence to menopause, we are here to support and advocate for their health and well-being,” Tiglao added.

Empowering women to plan their future

The decision of when—and whether—to start a family is one of the most important choices a woman can make. However, nearly half of all pregnancies worldwide (approximately 121 million annually) are estimated to be unplanned, leading to health risks and reduced educational and employment opportunities for mother and child – challenges which can span generations.

Unplanned pregnancies are in part caused by a lack of access to contraceptive information and services. Globally, of the 257 million women who want to avoid pregnancy, almost 67% are not safe, modern methods of contraception.

World Population Day, celebrated every July, underscores the critical importance of family planning in empowering individuals and societies worldwide. However, the Philippines currently grapples with one of the highest teenage pregnancy rates among ASEAN member-states, with a staggering 183,000 adolescent girls either becoming pregnant or giving birth annually. This alarming statistic surpasses global and regional averages, as reported by the United Nations Population Fund (UNPFA).

This is why Organon is actively advocating to expand access to family planning methods through multi-stakeholder collaboration that are fueling public health solutions, addressing inequities, and giving women more opportunities to pursue education and economic independence. In fact, Organon has been named to Fortune’s 2023 Change the World list for its leadership in helping women and girls around the world take control of their reproductive health.

No woman should die while giving life

Postpartum hemorrhage (also called PPH) occurs when a woman experiences heavy blood loss after giving birth. It remains the leading cause of maternal mortality worldwide. Organon believes that more options in the area of maternal health for healthcare providers and women are urgently needed. With therecent addition of a device intended to provide control and treatment of abnormal postpartum uterine bleeding or hemorrhage when conservative management is warranted to its portfolio, Organon continues to build upon the company’s vision of a better and healthier every day for HER by making sure that no woman needs to die when giving birth. This innovative solution has the potential to save countless lives and significantly reduce maternal mortality rates.

Navigating menopause with confidence

Menopause marks a significant milestone in a woman’s life, often accompanied by symptoms such as hot flashes, mood swings, and increased risk of conditions like cardiovascular diseases, dyslipidemia, and osteoporosis. Organon is dedicated to developing solutions that address these health conditions to help women navigate this transformative phase with confidence and dignity.

A holistic approach to women’s health

Organon’s initiatives extend beyond medical innovations. The company is focused on creating an environment where women feel supported and empowered to pursue their professional aspirations without compromise. By investing in initiatives focused on menopause, reproductive health, and postpartum care, Organon aims to empower women with the knowledge and resources needed to manage their health effectively.

As Organon looks to the future, its goal is to become the country’s go-to reference in women’s health. By fostering a sustainable healthcare environment where women receive the support, care, and advocacy they rightfully deserve, Organon is paving the way for a healthier and more empowered future for Filipinas.
