“It should not be taken literally,” ayon kay Sec. Roque.

“You cannot stop corruption unless you overturn the government completely. If I were the next president if you think there is a need for you to change everybody in the system, then you declare martial law,” ani Pangulong Duterte.

“It’s an expression of frustration, kumbaga dahil talagang gustong-gusto niyang linisin ang gobyerno pero he could not do it in six years time, hindi naman po literally ibig sabihin kelangan pa mag martial law pa para diyan,” dagdag na pahayag ni Pangulong Duterte.

Kung buhay pa raw si Pidol, he would be 93 years old.

“Happy birthday! I just remembered how it would normally rain during your parties. You seldom had a sunny birthday but needless to say, you brought sunshine in our lives! This morning, your son Ronnie sent me a tribute video of you with the song, ‘Handog,’ made by one of your fans. You most especially loved the lyric — ‘Tatanda at lilipas din ako… nguni’t mayro’ng awiting/kasiyahang/tawanang iiwanan sa inyong alaala.’

It was important for you to leave your fans and loved ones with your amazing body of work. And yes, when we do miss you, all it takes is to press play to hear your songs, watch your movies and old footage of ‘John and Marsha.’ We will always remember you fondly. You will always be in my heart, Lovey. Thank you. Happy birthday.”

Post ng singer: “Today is a milestone. It tells you how far you’ve come. Keep Learning, Keep Trying, Keep accomplishing, and Keep venturing on through your journey. Thanks God for everything! To my family. Mama and Papa I love you! It’s time for the Next Chapter.”

Post ng aktres sa Instagram: “Living on top of a building and then waking up with an earthquake made me jump out of my bed feeling so terrified. It reminded me of the devastating flash flood caused by typhoon ‘Ondoy.’ I have seen people got locked up trying to break their own windows and heard people screaming for help until you hear them no more..some drowned and some like me was able to swim fast whilst assisting my precious little nieces, little sister and my mom. We all climbed up on the roof with baby snakes and rats dangling on my/our body.”

‘The Suicide Squad’ New Clip Spotlight On Nathan Fillion’s The Detachable Kid

Posted on: July 28th, 2021 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

JAMES Gunn, the director of the Guardians of the Galaxy films, is really going out of the conventional superhero film formula in his upcoming DC film, The Suicide Squad.

In his take of the supervillain team, Gunn has rounded up a much bigger roster of characters compared to David Ayer’s 2016 film, Suicide Squad. And within this lineup, he has also added some of the weirdest and lamest characters from the DC comics.

In a new clip from The Suicide Squad puts the spotlight on Nathan Fillion’s The Detachable Kid and we get to see one of the weirdest superpower to be seen in a DC film, or in superhero films in general.

Check it out below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVKhBZCAOP8&t=39s

Yes, you probably have the same reaction as Harley Quinn’s. The Detachable Kid has the power of detaching his limbs and telekinetically to use them as weapons. But when executed, the character’s powers aren’t all that they’re cracked up to be.

He’s just one of the unconventional film supervillains we’ll get to see in The Suicide Squadas Gunn also recruited characters such as the Weasel, whose live-action counterpart does not look threatening at all, and the Polka-Dot Man, whose name turned up when Gunn was looking for “the dumbest DC character of all time”.

But it looks like the director isn’t just adding some of these silly characters for comic relief. Gunn described in an interview, how he intended to use the character of Polka-Dot Man in the film: “We’ve turned that character who’s a sad, pathetic character into a character who’s depressed because people think he’s stupid. He has a very tragic story that you learn about throughout the film – to be able to add depth to characters who are thought of as the silliest is a fun thing for me to do.”

Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, and Jai Courtney are reprising their roles from the 2016 Suicide Squad film. Also joining them are John Cena, Idris Elba, Sylvester Stallone, Sean Gunn, David Dastmalchian, and Fillion, to name a few.

The Suicide Squad is set for release in US theaters and on HBO Max this August 6. For more information about the film, visit its official website and social media pages on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram.
