‘Euphoria’ star Hunter Schafer Joins ‘The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’

Posted on: June 27th, 2022 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

THE Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes has just grown its cast even further, adding up-and-coming actress Hunter Schafer.

The Lionsgate prequel to the hit YA trilogy is based on Suzanne Collins’ 2020 novel, The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, which tells the story of a young Coriolanus Snow. The studio previously revealed that West Side Story star Rachel Zegler would play District 12 tribute Lucy Gray Baird, alongside Tom Blyth (Billy The Kid) as Snow himself.

Lionsgate previously revealed five other cast members for The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. Schafer will join Jerome Lance as Marcus, a tribute from District 2; Knox Gibson as Bobbin from District 8; Mackenzie Lansing as Coral from District 4; Ashley Liao as Clemensia Dovecote, and Aamer Husain as Felix Ravinstill, who are each District 11 mentors. The cast is full of fresh faces on the rise, and they’re certain to create a stir among fans of The Hunger Games franchise.

Schafer will portray Tigris Snow, who is Coriolanus’ cousin and confidante that advises him in every aspect of his life. She not only guides him in his own role as mentor, but even directs his moral compass. She will surely have something to say when Coriolanus forms a relationship with Lucy, which greatly affects his outlook on the games.

Hunter Schafer, who made her onscreen debut in HBO’s Euphoria, has already made a huge impression on the industry in a very short time. Not only has she champion civil rights as a trans activist in the public sphere, but she has even ventured into voice acting with the English dub of the anime film Belle.

The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes will be directed by Francis Lawrence, who is already very familiar with The Hunger Games as director of the last three films: Catching Fire, Mockingjay Part One, and Mockingjay Part Two.

Posted on: June 27th, 2022 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

“We were confident sana na after the immunocompromised, sisimulan na ang rest of the 12 to 17 booster.

Posted on: June 27th, 2022 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

Matapos mag-open last June 17 sa Netflix PH ang romantic-drama teleserye na  The World Between Us, kasama sina Jasmine Curtis-Smith at Tom Rodriguez, ang good news ay nasa number 3 spot na sila sa Top 10 shows.

At ang latest news tungkol pa rin sa TWBU, ito ang first Filipino title on Freevee, Amazon’s free-streaming video service.

According to Alden sa latest interview niya, this was a huge achievement for the GMA-7 primetime drama, “Parang ngayon nagha-harvest ng fruit iyong ‘The World Between Us.’  Nakakatuwa kasi based on what I heard, iyong team ng Amazon Freevee ang lumapit sa GMA to get the title.

“Sobrang honored and proud lahat. The whole team is so proud to be recognized by an international platform again.  This milestone served as an inspiration for me to do better.  Ito rin kasi ang dream ko for the soap kasi sobrang pinaghirapan siya ng lahat, dahil ginawa namin ito during the height of the pandemic, kaya being part of Freevee’s line up was a reward.”

US cities by the middle of August to September.

Ang first ever self-produced concert ni Alden ay ang first time ulit niyang mag-live concert, after almost three years of the pandemic.

Don’t fail to watch the finale week of First Lady after 24 Oras, na alam ba ninyong maraming netizens ang nagri-request kung pwedeng magkaroon pa ito ng season three?

In the vlog, Jennylyn and Dennis finally revealed the face of Baby D which stands for Dylan.

Posted on: June 27th, 2022 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

“We were already off to a good start with Chair Karlo’s earlier brief stint at the Commission. Now that he’s back, I, together with Commissioner Ryan Acosta, as well as the rest of our officials and employees, are eager to continue working with him on the plans and much-needed reforms we had laid down for the civil service,” ayon kay CSC Senior Commissioner Aileen Lourdes A. Lizada.

Ang CSC Resolution No. 2200209, o ang Policies on Flexible Work Arrangements in the Government ay  “one of the last policy resolutions the Commission promulgated before Nograles stepped out of the agency. The policy aims to provide adaptable and responsive work schemes for government officials and employees to manage any current or emergent situations caused either by natural and man-made calamities or any other situation that may affect the delivery of public services.”

“I thank President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. for his trust and confidence. Maraming, maraming salamat po for this opportunity to continue our efforts to further professionalize the civil service, not only to make it world-class but, more importantly, to better serve our fellow Filipinos especially during these trying times,” ayon kalatas ni Nograles.

“I am very excited to return to the Civil Service Commission and lead it into the better normal, together with its committed and dedicated public servants,” dagdag na pahayag nito.

Nagsilbi rin siya bilang presidential spokesperson at co-chair at spokesperson ng  Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID). (Daris Jose)

Posted on: June 27th, 2022 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

“The China-Philippine relationship has been placed on a better platform and has now been… better than what we experienced the last six years,” ayon kay Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar.

“This is exhibited by his unrelenting stance on the West Philippine Sea where he again mentions that the 2016 arbitral award – a significant contribution to the body of international law particularly the 1982 UNCLOS and that it singles out no one,” ani Andanar.

“We are once again grateful to China, our friend for more than a thousand years for helping us through these challenging and tough times,” ayon kay  Andanar.

“With the vaccines China has donated, we were able to start our healing and economic recovery as a people and nation during the beginning of the pandemic,” aniya pa rin. (Daris Jose)
