TEARS of joy ang hindi napigilang reaction ni Director Mark Reyes at ng cast ng most epic primetime series to land on Philippine television via “Voltes V: Legacy.”
Paano nga naman, inabot ng four years in the making ang first-ever live action adaptation of the phenomenal Japanese ‘70s anime ‘Voltes V’ na nag-premiere night last Tuesday, April 18 sa SM Cinema The Block.
Dinaluhan ito ng buong cast, headlined by no less than five of Sparkle’s sought-after artists, sina Kapuso Ultimate Heartthrob Miguel Tanfelix as Steve Armstrong, Ysabel Ortega as Jamie Robinson, Matt Lozano as Big Bert Armstrong, Radson Flores as Mark Gordon, and Raphael Landicho sa Little Jon Armstrong.
Present din ang cast na may special participation, like Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo as Ned Armstrong, the father of the three Armstrong brothers; Max Collins as Rozalia, na first wife ni Ned at si Carla Abellana as Mary Ann Armstrong, Ned’s wife from planet Earth na tumulong sa kanya para mabuo ang Voltes V.
Naroon din sina Gabby Eigenmann as Commander Robinson and Albert Martinez as Dr. Smith who assist in the development of Voltes V, plus ang bumuo ng Boazanian forces at ang members of Camp Big Falcon.
Ang live action series ay produced ng GMA Network in partnership with Toei Company, Ltd. And Telesuccess Productions Inc., na nagsidalo rin sa premiere night. Acclaimed local animators from Riot, Inc. and GMA’S Post Video Graphics and Audio Team ang nag-handle na program’s heavy CGI and other visual effects.

Ayon sa Sparkle consultant and renowned starmaker na si Mr. M, despite their ages, these teens do have ‘it’ that certain quality to make it big and far in showbiz: “they have the enthusiasm and willingness to sacrifice for the craft, willing silang mag-workshops, kumuha ng advanced classes to improve.”
