Bagong LTO chief tutukan ang license plate backlog

Posted on: July 26th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments
“The license plate backlog and the issue of funding are an unending cycle of problems in the LTO. We will do a thorough review and then put accountability. Who is at fault here? Somebody should be made accountable. I am here to fix the problem in one year, the better,” wika ni LTO assistant secretary Vigor Mendoza II.
“We have a backlog of 1.8 million motor vehicle license plates. If the data is correct the backlog should be addressed already. If there is a shortage, it should be minimal as far as motor vehicle license plates are concerned. We need really to look into why this happened. I want to know the exact number – how many is the backlog and how many are undelivered,” dagdag ni Mendoza.
“These mystery customers will go to the LTO district and extension offices so that they will know the time being consumed in getting licenses. We want to reduce the timeline,” sabi ni Mendoza.
“I am considering adopting the process of getting a passport so that we can prevent long lines. We can schedule the application to minimize the waiting time. This is something we would to review, when it comes to driver’s license application,” pagliliwanang ni Mendoza.

Posted on: July 26th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

Sa IG caption ni Jillian: “Choose your fighter, #AbotKamayNaPangarap boys with Dra. Analyn at the #GMAGala2023!”

Meanwhile, sa GMA Gala 2023 pa rin, Jillian wore a shimmery silver gown by Mak Tumang.  She also won two awards from the event – as Premier Star of the Night and Sparkling Smile of the Night.

SALAMAT at masipag mag-IG post sina Direk Mark Reyes at Kapuso actor Gabby Eigenmann ng mga happenings sa San Diego Comic Con 2033 na ginanap naman sa Marriott Marquis, San Diego Marina, in California last July 22 and 23, 2023, dala nila roon ang “Voltes V: Legacy.”

IG post ni Direk Mark: “It’s been on my bucket list to make it to San Diego Con.  Little did I know that that dream will come true this 2023.  What’s more is that I am not just attending as a casual convention goer but an official panelist to represent the first South East Asian Live Action series for #voltesvlegacy!

Pinost din ni Direk Mark kung gaano karami ang mga nag-attend ng Comic Con 2023 at sina Gabby, Miguel Tanfelix at Ysabel Ortega came in their costume na sadyang dinala nila sa pag-attend ng convention.

Several attendees even took pictures with the cast and talked with them.  Caption naman ni Gabby: “Full house here at the VVL panel in SDCC… was not able to contain my emotions.  Felt so proud.”

May mga na-meet din silang mga Pinoy na matagal nang nakatira roon at natuwang nakipag-bonding sa kanila during the convention.

SA isa pang IG post ni Direk Mark: “Officially revealed at San Diego ComiCon 2023 ang the first concept art for “Sang’gre, Encantadia Chronicles 2024.”

DIRECTOR BEN WHEATLEY TALKS ABOUT WHY HE WANTED TO HELM “MEG 2: THE TRENCH”

Posted on: July 26th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

DIRECTOR BEN WHEATLEY TALKS ABOUT WHY HE WANTED TO HELM “MEG 2: THE TRENCH”

BEN Wheatley is known for directing horror, but his best-known work include the quiet sort of horror from psychological thrillers like “Kill List” and thrilling mysteries like “Rebecca” – as opposed to screamfests such as “Meg 2: The Trench.”

Watch the trailer: https://youtu.be/HwokLHOYd5c

What made Wheatley want to direct the sequel to the surprise 2018 hit “The Meg”?

“There’s something very blue-collar about all of it, the nuts and bolts, and they’re not superheroes,” Wheatley told Total Film magazine in 2021 of the characters of the “Meg” movies. “Even though they do quite outlandish stuff, there’s a vulnerability to them, which is exciting. There’s something about the superhero genre where, much as I enjoy it, as it gets bigger and bigger and bigger, there’s problems with the way they’re just invulnerable. That lessens the tension. I like human risk. That side of it is interesting to me.”

More than the characters, Wheatley is also all praises for the casting because the international makeup of the cast reflects back the nature of global scientific ventures. “Our cast is based around the realism found in the world of science,” says Wheatley in another interview. “Usually, an oceanic research group would be pulling the best people from all over the globe, with a mix of people from everywhere.”

Wheatley is also known for the dark comedy and action in some of his films, and with “Meg 2” starring Jason Statham and global action icon Wu Jing, expect plenty of heart-pounding action! Jason Statham is always keen to do as many of his own stunts as possible, and about Wu Jing, Wheatley shares that at one point while filming an explosive sequence, Jing volunteered to have a camera strapped to him to get an up-close shot of the actual explosions.

Wheatley explains, “We did that a few times with Wu Jing and it always turned out well. It really puts the viewer into the action when you do that. He was always ready to do anything, and never a complaint. I think he could break his leg and he’d still be going, ‘Yeah, I’m fine.’”

Watch “Meg 2: The Trench,” opening in Philippine cinemas August 2.

About “Meg 2: The Trench”

Dive into uncharted waters with Jason Statham and global action icon Wu Jing as they lead a daring research team on an exploratory dive into the deepest depths of the ocean. Their voyage spirals into chaos when a malevolent mining operation threatens their mission and forces them into a high-stakes battle for survival. Pitted against colossal Megs and relentless environmental plunderers, our heroes must outrun, outsmart, and outswim their merciless predators in a pulse-pounding race against time.

Jason Statham and Wu Jing lead an ensemble cast that also includes Sophia Cai (“The Meg”), Page Kennedy (“The Meg”), Sergio Peris-Mencheta (“Rambo: Last Blood”), Skyler Samuels (“The Gifted”), and Cliff Curtis (“Avatar” franchise).

“Meg 2: The Trench” is directed by Ben Wheatley (“In the Earth,” “Free Fire”), from a screenplay by Jon Hoeber & Erich Hoeber (“The Meg,” “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts”) and Dean Georgaris (“The Meg,” “Lara Croft: Toom Raider – The Cradle of Life”), and a screen story by Dean Georgaris and Jon Hoeber & Erich Hoeber, based on the novel The Trench by Steve Alten. The film is produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura (“The Meg,” “Bumblebee”) and Belle Avery (“The Meg,” “Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead”), and executive produced by Jason Statham, Cate Adams, Ruigang Li, Catherine Xujun Ying, Wu Jing, E. Bennett Walsh, Erik Howsam, Gerald R. Molen and Randy Greenberg.

In Philippine cinemas starting August 2, “Meg 2: The Trench” is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Discovery company.

Unregistered SIM cards hanggang Hulyo 25, madedeactivate na – DICT

Posted on: July 26th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments
Kung matatandaan, noong Oktubre 10, 2022, nilagdaan ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., ang Republic Act No. 11934, An Act Requiring the Registration of Subscriber Identity Module (SIM), o ang SIM Registration Law.

PBBM, itutulak ang mas maraming buwis, military pension reform

Posted on: July 26th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments
Alinsunod ito sa  AmBisyon Natin 2040 na  aniya  “unveiled by the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) in 2015, covering goals for the next 25 years.”
“Considering its fundamental importance, water security deserves a special focus. Our efforts must not be scattershot, but rather, cohesive, centralized, and systematic,” dagdag na pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
(Daris Jose)

IMMIGRATION MODERNIZATION ACT, IPASA NA

Posted on: July 26th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments
“The passage of the new law is another step forward towards the President’s vision of Bagong Pilipinas,” ayon kay Tansingco.
“The new law could not have come at a better time.  This milestone legislation reflects the commitment of the Marcos administration to fortify our national security and combat illegal activities,” paliwanag pa ng BI Chief. GENE ADSUARA
