“My dear Papa,
“You fought until the end; we all did. And you were surrounded by prayers of countless people whose lives you’ve touched. Only God knows why, despite all the outpour of love and support, things have to come to an end—but for now, at least no more pain na papa ko.
“I love you so much. You’re always in my heart.”
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Martin Diño, Former Undersecretary of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
“Bobot,” as he is fondly called, peacefully died at 2:15 am on August 8, 2023, surrounded by his family. He suffered from acute respiratory failure and has been battling with stage IV lung cancer for more than a year. He was 66.
“He is survived by his spouse Marissa B. Diño, mother of former FDCP Chair Liza Diño, and sister Marybell Diño.”
Sa pagpapatuloy ng statement, “Martin Diño was not only a dedicated public servant but also a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. His unwavering commitment to his responsibilities, his tireless work ethic, and his passion for service defined his life’s journey. His contributions to our nation’s progress, particularly on local governance and barangay development, will forever stand as a testament to his commitment to a better society.
“Former Undersecretary Martin Diño’s legacy extends beyond his distinguished role in government. As the former Chairman of the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) organization, he epitomized the spirit of advocacy, using his voice to champion the rights of the oppressed and fight against injustice.
“Through VACC, he stood unwaveringly by the side of the marginalized, his dedication and commitment leaving an indelible mark on the fight for a better world.
“During this challenging time, our hearts are heavy with grief, but we are comforted by the outpouring of love and support from friends, colleagues, and well-wishers. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who have offered their prayers.
“His legacy of resilience, compassion, and a deep sense of duty will forever guide us.
“We shall share details about his funeral arrangements soon. Thank you.
“Thank you so much, Papa Martin, for accepting and embracing me as one of your own.
“I remember our conversation when I asked you if you would allow me to marry your daughter; you readily said yes and that you were happy because you knew that I would take good care of Liza and Amara. Thank you for trusting me.
“I love you, papa!”

“I’ve been here a year and a half and the purpose of me going to the Philippines is to operate a Korean aesthetic clinic, which I believe no one ever has done before, to promote Korean aesthetic program to the Philippine market.”

“My motivation was there is a Korean wave, culture wave is starting to boom in the Philippines and I was just trying to introduce all these Korean aesthetic programs.”

Dagdag naman ni Tristan Cheng na Marketing Head ng Hernel…

“I think the intention of Hernel is very clear, bringing in how they do it in Korea readily available here in the heart of Manila, is just…it’s a bonus for us, we all are… I would say, a part of us are patronizing Korean waves, even for food, even for entertainment, music especially, you guys know about it.

“And of course Filipinos are very ‘metikuloso’, if I may use that word, we are very vain when it comes to our skin, and Koreans are…if I may say, if not the best, they are the number one when it comes to taking care of their skin.

“So, I think it’s just good that Hernel is here, and it is an advantage for everyone, and hopefully bringing in better service by bringing in more branches to come.”

Posted on: August 9th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

“Known as the National Schools Maintenance Week, the BE also refers to a week dedicated to the conduct of activities to prepare the school for the opening of classes,” ayon sa DepEd.

Posted on: August 9th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

Posted on: August 9th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

“There are other things na napag-usapan  which I think need to remain confidential, that’s between President Digong and myself. Again, these are operational aspects of our military, of our Navy, of our Coast Guard, kaya’t mahirap masyado pag-usapan. I hope you will indulge me there,” ayon sa Punong Ehekutibo.

Kabilang dito sina Go, dating special assistant to the President; at dating Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea.

Ministro Hua Chunying.

(Daris Jose)
