Posted on: September 4th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

“We acknowledge the need to take immediate action on the rising prices of rice in the market. Relatedly, imposing strict monitoring of its price and supply to prevent the possibility of hoarding and overpricing among traders and retailers is of equal importance,” ayon kay Trade Secretary Alfredo Pascual sa isang kalatas.

“Pursuant to this, DTI will regularly conduct strict monitoring of prices of rice nationwide and ensure that the price ceiling set by the Department and DA (Department of Agriculture) will be followed,” dagdag na pahayag ng Kalihim .

“The mandated price ceiling for regular milled rice is P41 per kilo while the mandated price cap for well-milled rice is P45 per kilo,” ayon sa EO.

“These prices were computed based on the average rice prices for the last three months (May, June, July) following Section 8 of Republic Act No. 7581 or the Price Act for the setting of price ceiling,” ang pahayag ni Pascual.

“I would encourage anyone who finds that someone or retailer is selling at above the price ceiling, i-report po ninyo.

“We are also coordinating with the local government units (LGUs) to activate their Local Price Coordinating Councils (LPCCs) in support of this endeavor,” ang wika ni Pascual.

“The imposition of this price ceiling is aimed at protecting Filipino consumers from unjust or unfair sales practices,” ani Pascual.

“We at the DTI and the entire Philippine government aim to protect lower-income individuals and the vulnerable population who often bear a disproportionate burden when prices of goods rapidly rise,” aniya pa rin.

“Further, price ceiling for imported rice shall be based on the Bureau of Customs’ (BOC) reference price. This is likewise close to the three-month average price of well-milled rice,” anito. (Daris Jose)

Posted on: September 4th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

If that happens, then it is akin to a patient who will stay in the emergency room for a long time while waiting to be admitted,” ani Recto.

In fact, DOH hospitals in which the specialty centers will be established have specific, line-item funding in the HFEP. What the House can do is simply augment it,” pagtatapos ni Recto. (Ara Romero)

Posted on: September 4th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

“Of all the awards na napanalunan ko po, very special sa akin itong AIFF because back in 2015, Tita Cherie was honored with a best actress award for ‘Sonata.’

“It’s neither easy nor hard because my family has always made sure to make each other feel we are our own person in terms of our careers. This is kinda funny pero ‘pag magkakasama kami hindi talaga namin pinag uusapan ‘yung trabaho.

“But I’m proud to be an Eigenmann because I love my family and I’m proud to be part of this legacy that my grandfather (Eddie Mesa) had started building a long time ago.”

“The city of Santa Clara is excited about Beyoncé’s upcoming visit to the world-renowned Levi’s Stadium. Her concerts will certainly bring a great deal of energy and excitement. She has had a tremendous cultural impact as one of the most influential pop culture figures,” ayon sa Santa Clara spokesperson Michelle Templeton.

Noong i-stage ang ‘The Eras Tour’ noong nakaraang July, binigyan din ng key to the city of Santa Clara si Taylor Swift at tinawag ang city na “Swiftie Clara” for two days.

Nagkaroon naman ng “Beyonce Day” sa cities of Atlanta at Minneapolis.

Mag-turn 42 si Queen Bey on September 4 at ni-request nito on Instagram na magsuot ng “something sparkly” ang kanyang fans sa gabi ng kanyang tour.

“Virgo season is upon us. This tour has been such a joy and as we approach the last month, my birthday wish is to celebrate with you wearing your most fabulous silver fashions to the shows 8.23 – 9.22!”

Posted on: September 4th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

Na-enjoy naman daw ni Raphael ang first time na mag-face-to-face classes ulit after three years dahil sa COVID-19 pandemic.

“Dream come true! MY FIRST CAR!!! Thank you, Lord!” caption pa niya.

“And sabi ko, ang pinaka-least na pwede kong matulungan is ‘yung self ko, but this time, I am spoiling myself. I am rewarding my hard work.”

Sey ng two-time Emmy Award winner: “Parts of my life, I accept, are going to be public. I can’t not be a person and live my life and love the person I love. But also, I do have control over what I choose to share. It’s about protecting the peace and letting things be your own but also not being afraid to exist. You can’t hide. That’s not fun, either. I am navigating it more than ever now.”

“I had this idea of, like, I can walk around Venice. No, I can’t. I had to pick up his poo, and I was like, Lord, please, don’t take a picture of me picking up my dog’s sh*t. There’s a picture of me holding the bag, but thankfully they spared the grabbing and the putting it in the bag part,” tawa pa niya.

DIRECTOR MICHAEL CHAVES INVITES FANS TO “THE NUN II” AS HORROR FILM GEARS UP FOR MIDNIGHT SCREENINGS SEPT 6

Posted on: September 4th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

IN a newly released video, “The Nun II” director Michael Chaves shares that this year marks the tenth anniversary of the “The Conjuring” Universe, adding that “The Nun’s” demonic Valak is hands-down his most favorite movie monster of all.  He then proceeds to invite all horror fans to watch “The Nun II.”

Watch the Michael Chaves video at https://youtu.be/fs4lXxM0N_g

New Line Cinema brings you the horror thriller “The Nun II,” the next chapter in the story of “The Nun,” the highest grossing entry in the juggernaut $2 billion “The Conjuring” Universe.  As a treat to fans of scary movies, “The Nun II” will hold simultaneous midnight screenings in participating cinemas on September 6 (also the film’s opening day). Fans can get their tickets now at https://www.nun2.com.ph/

“I’m really excited for audiences to see this movie, and I think that it is nightmarishly scary,” says Michael Chaves in an interview provided by the studio. “I love the theater-going experience, especially with horror movies. Being in a packed theater with friends and strangers is such an incredible and powerful experience. Along with the scares, it is filled with truly unique set pieces and a compelling story that takes characters whom we love further on their journey and into really hard places while making tough choices. The times that I’ve seen it with an audience have been really special and exciting, and I can’t wait for moviegoers to see this film.”

On his fascination with Valak, Chaves shares, “I think that the Demon Nun is one of those iconic movie monsters. I mean, you see it on a poster and it’s like a little bit of a throwback to Dracula. You see a little bit of Pennywise. You see a little Nosferatu. It’s so timeless and has such an iconic look. It’s one of the ultimate horror movie icons and one of the ultimate movie villains. With this film, I just wanted to take it further. I wanted to explore the manifestations. And I also just wanted to dig more into the story, or at least the myth or the theories, of what its origins could be. I think it’s really important to do that, but to never be too specific. I think that part of the mystery and part of not knowing what it is, that’s really powerful. It’s what makes it truly scary.”

“Gat Marcelo, who holds the esteemed title of National Hero, should be our guide and beacon” – Fernando

Posted on: September 4th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

Posted on: September 4th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

Posted on: September 4th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

“Siguro growing-up, pangarap kong maging Jackie Chan or Jet Li.

“Walang moment in my life na magiging dream ko na maging artista. But I remember one time, nanonood lang ako sa bahay, parang sabi ko, bakit kaya ganito ang buhay ng mga artista? Akala ko that time, nasa TV talaga sila. Buong buhay nila, nandoon sila.

Although, alam niya raw na it’s a big shoe to fill-in para sa kanilang dalawa ni Barbie.

Ang ‘Maging Sino Ka Man’ ang papalit sa ‘Voltes V: Legacy’ sa GMA Primetime simula sa September 11.

***
