NANATILING normal ang suplay ng kuryente habang isinasagawa ang botohan para sa 2023 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE), araw ng Lunes, Oktubre 30. Sa naitalang situation report ng Department of Energy (DOE), sinabi ng DOE-led Energy Task Force Election na “all power generation plants are in normal operation,” maliban sa Ilijan plant at SLPGC Unit 1 sa Batangas, TAREC sa Guimaras, at Panay Diesel-fired Power Plant sa Iloilo, na nakaranas ng mechanical at technical issue.
Idagdag pa rito, sinabi ng DOE na ang lahat ng transmission facilities ay nasa ilalim ng normal operation, base naman sa report ng National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP).
Winika ng NGCP na ang “transmission lines and facilities are under normal operations.”
Samantala, sa ipinalabas naman na advisory ng Meralco, itinuturing na largest power distribution utility ng bansa, na ang voting period para sa 2023 BSKE ay natapos nang walang anumang “major power interruption.”
“Minor incidents that were reported were isolated and immediately resolved with the help of our crews who are strategically positioned across our service area,” ayon sa Meralco.
“Meralco will remain on full alert and ready to respond to any possible electricity service concern until the end of the electoral process,” dagdag na pahayag nito. (Daris Jose)
