MAIMPLUWENSYANG ONE CEBU IBINIGAY ANG SUPORTA KAY BBM

HALOS tatlong linggo na lamang bago ang halalan sa Mayo 9, pormal nang inindorso ng pinakamalaking political party sa Cebu province na One Cebu (1-Cebu) ang kandidatura ni presidential frontrunner Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. nitong Martes ng hapon.

“One Cebu Party has the honor of announcing its decision to endorse the presidential bid of former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr,” ayon sa opisyal na pahayag ng One Cebu na nilagdaan ng kanilang pangulo na si Cebu Governor Gwendolyn F. Garcia.

Ang pag-endorso ng One-Cebu kay Marcos ay ilang linggo lamang matapos nilang i-endorso si vice presidential frontrunner Inday Sara Duterte nitong Pebrero 16.

Sinasabing ang Cebu ay itinuturing na may pinakamaraming botante o “vote-rich” na probinsya sa bansa na mayroong 3.2 milyong naka-rehistrong botante.

Ayon sa pahayag, ang pag-endorso kay Marcos ay matapos ang ilang linggo deliberasyon sa kanilang mga miyembro sa buong probinsya.

“The decision follows weeks of extensive consultation and discussion with provincial, municipal and barangay leaders in the 44 municipalities and 7 cities (including Mandaue City) of the Province of Cebu,” ayon sa pahayag ng partido.

Iginiit pa ng One Cebu na sigurado sila na ang pag-suporta sa BBM-Sara UniTeam ay tiyak na makatutulong sa mga Cebuano.

“We considered the differing opinions of party leaders advocating the causes of different presidential candidates, and have determined that the unity and strength of One Cebu, its ability to serve its constituents in the Province of Cebu, and ultimately, the interests of Cebuanos are best served if we unite behind the leadership of BBM as President, and as we have earlier announced, Mayor Sara Duterte as Vice-President,” dagdag pa ng pahayag ng One Cebu.

Pormal na isinagawa ang pag-anunsyo sa pag-endorso nila kay Marcos sa kanilang General Assembly sa Sky Hall ng SM Seaside City sa Cebu City.

Naniniwala ang ilang mga eksperto sa pulitika na ang endorsement ng One Cebu ay higit pang nagpalakas sa kandidatura ni BBM na kasalukuyang nangunguna rin sa lahat ng pre-poll surveys ng mga pinakarespetadong mga polling firms sa bansa tulad ng SWS, Pulse Asia , OCTA , Publicus, Laylo Research at marami pang iba.

Naniniwala rin ang maraming political analysts na maliban sa pag-endorso ng pinakamalaking political party sa bansa at patuloy na pamamayagpag ni Marcos sa lahat ng survey, halos nakatitiyak na ang panalo nito.

Ayon sa inisyal at unofficial na exit polls sa unang araw ng Overseas Absentee Voting, sinasabing landslide ang pagkapanalo ni Marcos sa mga vote-rich na bansa kung saan marami ang Pinoy na nagta-trabaho tulad ng Hongkong, UAE , Qatar at iba pa.

Bago ang One Cebu, nauna nang inindorso ng Barug Alang sa Kauswagan ug Demokrasya (BAKUD) ang BBM-Sara UniTeam nitong Enero 2022.

7 drug suspects nalambat sa buy bust sa Malabon

BAGSAK sa kalaboso ang pitong drug suspects, kabilang ang tatlong babae matapos makuhanan ng higit P87K halaga ng shabu sa magkahiwalay na buy bust operation ng pulisya sa Malabon City.

Ayon kay Malabon police chief Col. Albert Barot, dakong alas-2:30 ng madaling araw nang magsagawa ang mga operatiba ng Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) sa ilalim ng pangangasiwa ni PLT Alexander Dela Cruz ng buy bust operation sa P. Concepcion Brgy., Tugatog.

Timbog sa operation si Randolph Villacorta alyas “Andong”, 34, (Pusher/Listed), Mary Jane Legaspi alyas “Jeng’, 34 at Airene Ignacio, 32, matapos magsabwatan umano na bentahan ng P500 halaga ng shabu ang isang pulis na umakto bilang poseur-buyer.

Ani PSSg Jerry Basungit, aabot sa 10 grams ng hinihinalang shabu na may standard drug price P68,000 ang nakumpiska sa mga suspek, kasama ng marked money.

Nauna rito, naaresto rin sa buy-bust operation sa Pampano St., Brgy. Longos dakong alas-3:30 ng hapon sina Baby Rose Camilon alyas “Mia”,30, (User/Listed), Crisanto Sy, 51, Carlito Tuazon, 45, at Benjamin Bacolod, 50.

Nasamsam sa kanila ang humigi’t-kumulang 2.89 grams ng hinihinalang shabu na may standard drug price P19,652 at P300 buy bust money.

KINUMPIRMA ni Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray na imbitado siya sa coronation night ng 2022 Miss Universe Philippines sa April 30.

Ginawang issue kasi ng maraming netizen ang hindi pagkakasali ni Queen Cat sa mga maghu-host ng MUP 2022 na Miss Universe winners na sina Pia Wurzbach, Iris Mittenaere at Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters. Kasama naman sa judging panel si Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu of India.

“I do believe I just received an invitation yesterday with my management. Hopefully, I would love to be there if it doesn’t coincide with any other schedule because yeah, I think it would be great that Miss Universe is coming here, Haraanz.

“And I would love to meet her in person. Of course, Iris and Demi who I’ve met previously as well, will be here so that would be great if we could all be together,” sey ni Queen Cat.

Makarating man o hindi si Catriona sa coronation night ng MUP 2022, nagbigay naman siya ng advice sa mga contestants ngayong taon.

Unang-una raw ay kailangan mag-focus sila sa kanilang personal journey sa Miss Universe Philippines pageant at huwag silang magpapaapekto sa anumang negatibong komento.

“Because I really think, nowadays, with the pageant mainly residing within social media, there is such a huge participation in the general public when it comes to commentating or making comments or participating within the pageant which is now existing majorly online.

“With that, though, comes a lot of voices telling you what your journey should look like or what your image should look like or your walk or your branding, etcetera, etcetera.

“At the end of the day, I’m such a huge believer that you do represent your country but you also represent who you are because you’re the one up on that stage, you’re speaking from your knowledge, your experiences. You might as well make the journey your own, so that’s what I would encourage them.

“And I know that lots of people compare me, my journey, what it looks like. I mean, that would be unique to me, and I would love to see our candidates embrace what is unique to them, their journey to be unique to them.”

Mas maging involve din daw sila sa kanilang advocacy, manalo o matalo sila sa pageant.

“They should be role models or people who are using their influence within the community for something.That could be through, you know, raising their voice for something that they believe in or working with an NGO or a group that they feel needs more awareness or whatever it could be.

“But I love seeing women who really use their platforms for others. And I feel like that’s what us, Miss Universe, do as our job. So that’s what I would love to see in the candidates even before the competition, to see how they utilize that platform.

“Because it would give me sort of a positive impression on how they would go on and use the platform of the title of Miss Universe.”

PDu30, handang harapin si Gordon sa public debate

HANDA si Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Roa Duterte na harapin sa public debate si Senador Richard Gordon kung hahamunin siya nito.

Sa kanyang Talk to the People, Lunes ng gabi, tinawag ni Pangulong Duterte na “magnanakaw” si Gordon dahil sa di umano’y pagkakasangkot nito sa korapsyon sa Philippine Red Cross (PRC), kung saan siya ang tumatayong chairman.

“If you want to engage me in a debate in public, okay, I will,” ayon sa Pangulo sabay sabing alam niya kung ano ang case number ni Gordon.

Ang case number ay tumutukoy sa identification number na in-assigned ng clerk of court sa isang criminal case.

“I have your case number, Mr. Gordon,” dagdag na pahayag nito.

Samantala, binatikos naman ng Chief Executive si Gordon dahil sa tumatalsik nitong laway habang nagsasalita.

“Kaya kung magpunta kayo sa mga rally nandiyan si Gordon, magdala kayo ng payong,” ayon sa Pangulo. (Daris Jose)

PNP COVID-19 free na ngayon, matapos makamit ang target na ‘zero case’

INIULAT ng Philippine National Police (PNP) na nakamit na nila ang target na zero case sa COVID-19.

Ayon kay PNP Public Information Office (PIO) Chief Police BGen Roderick Alba, gumaling na kahapon ang nag iisa nilang tauhan na may COVID-19 kaya opisyal nang COVID free ngayon ang PNP.

Sa kabila nito, patuloy ang kanyang paaalala sa kanilang mga tauhan na sumunod sa health protocol at istrikto itong ipatupad sa mga kampo.

Matatandaan na nito lang Enero, umabot sa mahigit 4,000 ang aktibong kaso ng COVID 19 sa PNP.

Nanatili naman sa 129 ang mga nasawi sa COVID 19 sa PNP.

Sa part two ng BL series na ‘Hello Stranger’: Team-up nina TONY at JC, gustong gawing mala-Popoy at Basha

MAY plano raw ang Black Sheep Productions na igawa ng part two ng BL Series na Hello Stranger na pinagbidahan nina Tony Labrusca at JC Alcantara.

Pero ang gusto raw ng Black Sheep na ang maging peg ng return team-up nina Tony at JC ay mala-Popoy at Basha nina John Lloyd Cruz at Bea Alonzo.

Most probably ay after two years pa bago gumawa ng sequel ng Hello Strangers ang Black Sheep.

Gusto rin na gawin na medyo mature na kwento ng love story ng dalawang bida.

Ayon kay Tony, nagustuhan niya ang dynamics ng cast at production team ng series dahil fun ito. Hindi rin pilit ang kwento ng two guys who fell in love with each other.

Pero for now ay magkoko-concentrate muna sa kanilang individual careers sina Tony at JC before teaming up sa bagong kwento ng Hello Stranger.

Incidentally, Tony is leaving for New York as he was offered to play a cameo role sa movie na Asian Persuasion that will feature KC Concepcion and Dante Basco. The movie will be directed by Jhett Tolentino.

Chance na rin ito for Tony to go on vacation, lalo na at first trip niya ito to New York.

Fernando, nanguna sa paglaban kontra vote buying sa Bulacan

LUNGSOD NG MALOLOS – Pinangunahan ni Gobernador Daniel R. Fernando ang paglulunsad ng multi-sectoral anti-vote buying campaign sa Lalawigan ng Bulacan ngayong araw upang makatulong sa pagsugpo ng pamimili ng boto at masiguro ang maayos, mapayapa, patas at inklusibong halalan sa darating na nasyunal at lokal na botohan sa Mayo 9, 2022.

Tinawag na “Our Vote, Our Future”, dinaluhan ang paglulunsad ng mga kinatawan mula sa mga ahensiya ng gobyerno, civil society groups, religious groups, academe, mga organisasyong pangkabataan at mga kumakandidato sa iba’t ibang posisyon na sumusuporta sa kampanyang anti-vote buying at anti-vote selling.

Ani Fernando, ang nag-uumapaw na suportang ipinakikita ng iba’t ibang mga sektor at mga kandidato sa anti-vote buying campaign ay isang indikasyon ng higit na partisipasyon ng mga botante sa pagtitiyak na sa darating na halalan ay masasalamin ang tunay na kalooban ng mga botante.

“I call on the people of Bulacan to be vigilant on the activities of the candidates who are aspiring for different elected positions in the upcoming elections. Vote buying undermines the democratic process and puts our future in great danger,” pagdiriin ni Fernando.

Pinaalalahanan din niya ang mga Bulakenyo na ang Lalawigan ng Bulacan, bilang duyan ng Unang Republika ng Pilipinas, ay dapat pahalagahan ang demokrasya tulad ng pakikipaglaban ng ating mga ninuno para sa ating kalayaan; ang pagkakaroon ng pribilehiyo at kalayaang pumili kung sino ang ating ihahalal para mamuno tungo sa pag-unlad.

Ang paglulunsad din na ito ay itinakda kontra sa mga napaunang ulat ng maagang pagbili ng boto at pagbebenta ng boto na nagdudulot ng napakalaking banta at hindi dapat hinihikayat sa anumang pagkakataon lalo na at nagpapakita ito ng pagwawalang-bahala sa demokratikong kaugalian at higit sa lahat, lubos itong nakakaapekto sa integridad ng lalawigan.

Ang multi-sectoral anti-vote buying campaign ay inisyatibo ng Punong Lalawigan kasama ang mga katuwang nitong ahensiya ng pamahalaan, multi-sectoral groups at mga kumakandidato sa iba’t ibang posisyon.

Bahagi ng kampanya ang pagkakaroon ng agresibong kamalayan ng mga botante para sa mga mahahalagang aspeto ng eleksyon at mga pagkilos na ipinagbabawal upang sila ay magabayan sa demokratikong proseso.

Panawagan pa ng gobernador sa publiko na ipagbigay alam sa Comelec o sa Philippine National Police (PNP), mga militar at iba pang mga ahensiyang nagpapatupad ng batas, ang anumang aktibidad ng mga pulitiko at kanilang mga taga-suporta na nagpapakita ng pamimili ng boto upang masampahan ng kaukulang parusa.

Ayon sa omnibus election code, ang isang indibidwal na napatunayang nagkasala sa pamimili ng boto ay maaaring makulong mula isa hanggang anim na taon bukod sa panghabambuhay na pagkadiskuwalipika na humawak ng pampublikong tungkulin na tiyak na tatapos sa kanilang karera sa pulitika.

Channing Tatum is a Novel Cover Model Turned Hero in ‘The Lost City’

CHANNING Tatum takes on the role of Dash/Alan, the strikingly handsome model who graces the covers of Loretta Sage’s (Sandra Bullock) romance novels, in Paramount Pictures’ new romantic adventure The Lost City, showing in Philippine cinemas this April 20.

Dash is machismo personified: handsome, debonaire, smart, and courageous. But his real-life alter ego, Alan, is, when we meet him, not Dash. But at his core Alan is honest, dependable, and loyal, and against all odds, becomes the hero he always envisioned Dash to be.

“Dash is a swashbuckling character who rides in on the white horse or swings in on a vine and saves the day,” says Channing Tatum.

“Alan is the farthest thing from that, but it’s not from lack of trying. I think Alan was a little embarrassed when he first got the modeling job, but then he had an epiphany and realized what a beautiful opportunity he had in playing this character who brings joy to so many people. What nobler job is there than the ability to make people happy?

“Alan’s not totally crazy,” Tatum continues. “He doesn’t really believe he is Dash, but he’d like to believe he has some of those qualities, especially the fact that he has such a good heart.”

For Sandra Bullock, Tatum was the perfect foil. “Channing is so self-deprecating; there’s nothing about him that’s ego driven, which works for the role of Alan because he is such an innocent,” she says.

“He is wide-eyed and sweet. Not many people can play that kind of a guileless, open person, but Channing had such comedic intuition about Alan.

“Channing is a physical comedian who uses his body to convey the joke. We connected at once because that’s how I operate. It’s so nice to have a partner you’re comfortable with, and who has amazing timing. Moreover, we’re different enough that we complement one another,” Bullock adds.

A wonderful example of Tatum’s flair for physical comedy was when he stripped down for a laugh-out-loud scene with Bullock. Tatum’s character encounters leeches all over his backside, and Bullock inspects him to help with removal.

Tatum recalls filming the scene which was Day 2 of production, “Walking to set with a bunch of leeches super-glued to my butt and not having met everybody and just kinda being like, ‘Okay, I’m gonna be butt-naked today, my name’s Chan. This is just what it is,’ ” said Tatum. “And then not only that, but to have Sandra Bullock have, like, a two-page monologue with, uh, a certain part of my body.”

Brilliant, but reclusive author Loretta Sage (Sandra Bullock) has spent her career writing about exotic places in her popular romance-adventure novels featuring handsome cover model Alan (Channing Tatum), who has dedicated his life to embodying the hero character, “Dash.” While on tour promoting her new book with Alan, Loretta is kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire (Daniel Radcliffe) who hopes that she can lead him to the ancient lost city’s treasure from her latest story.
