NAKATAKDANG ilunsad ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang revised curriculum para sa Kinder to Grade 10 (K to 10) sa mga susunod na linggo.
Sa press briefing sa Malakanyang, sinabi ni DepEd spokesperson Undersecretary Michael Poa na ang implementasyon ng “decongested” K to 10 curriculum ay sa School Year 2024-2025.
“Sa K to 10 review, since tapos na tayo do’n, ang feedback ng experts natin ay highly congested kasi ‘yung current K to 10 natin. Ibig sabihin, napakaraming kailangan matutunan ng learners na learning competencies within a school year. Napakarami ring kailangan ituro ng mga guro within a school year, which makes mastery of these subjects very difficult,” ayon kay Poa.
“That’s why it took us time, we had to consider all the comments for the final tweaks. Now we’re done, we will be launching it in a few weeks time,” ayon pa rin kay Poa.
“Ang promise ng K to 12 is that magiging employable ‘yung mga learners, pero we have to admit na hindi ‘yan nangyayari sa ngayon [the promise of K to 12 is that the learners will be employable, but we have to admit that that is not happening right now]. We are looking at ways to align that industry demands, to boost employability, attractiveness of our learners to be employed,” ayon kay Poa.
(Daris Jose)
