Iniyakan dati sa tuwing magri-race ang aktor: ABBY, gustong mala-Jennifer Lopez at Ben Affleck ang kasal nila ni JOMARI

KUMPIRMADO na ang kasalang Jomari Yllana at Abby Viduya sa November ng taong ito.

Mismong sina Abby at Jomari ang opisyal na nagbalita nito. Sa pamamagitan muna raw ng isang civil wedding sa Las Vegas, U.S.A. ang magiging kasal nila.

Ayon kay Abby, gusto nila na mala-Jennifer Lopez at Ben Affleck at isa rin sa reason ang panganay na anak ni Abby na gusto raw na makasama rin nila. Sa parte naman ni Jomari, hindi raw kasi siya puwedeng umalis ng matagal dahil sa trabaho niya bilang Konsehal ng Paranaque.

Pero end of 2024 or early 2025 ang magiging church wedding nila sa Peñafrancia Church sa Naga City, kunsaan, ikinasal naman ang mga magulang ni Jomari.

Wala na ngang duda ang wagas na pagmamahalan ng dalawa. At napatunayan din nila na soulmate raw silang talaga.

Sa isang banda, supportive wife-to-be naman si Abby sa passion ni Jomari pagdating sa motorsports. Kaya kahit daw sa umpisa, iniyakan niya ito dahil sa pag-alala tuwing si Jomari ay magri-race, nang makita raw niya ang kakaibang saya nito sa kanyang sports, binigay na rin niya ang blessing.

Simula nga noong August 2, limang araw ang biggest motorsport event na “Motorsport Carnivale” sa Okada Manila. Bibigyan din nila ng award ang mga kilalang celebrities na racing enthusiast din tulad nina Richard Gomez at Matteo Guidicelli.

Si Jomari naman, siya ang unang Filipino na podium finisher sa Yeongam International Circuit sa South Korea noong 2014. He is also the principal driver of pro racing team, Yllana Racing.

BALIK na talaga si Coleen Garcia sa pagiging aktibo sa pag-arte.

Nakatapos na siya ng bagong pelikula under VIVA Films, ang “Kung Hindi Lang Tayo Sumuko” kasama niya sina Carlo Aquino, Ryza Cenon, Jerome Ponce, Rhen Escaño, Kikon Estrada, Andrea del Rosario, Jeric Raval at iba pa. Sa direksiyon ni Carlo Enciso Catu.

Mas nahahanapan na raw niya ng oras ngayon bilang for three years din, talagang naging tutok talaga siya kay Amari, sa anak nila ni Billy Crawford.

“Dito pa lang talaga ako bumu-bwelo but I realized, since pinapayagan na ako ni Amari na mag-work. May sariling buhay na siya, may sariling schedules na siya, sana mapadalas.”

At base sa title ng movie, meron na rin naman daw siyang sinukuan din talaga.

“I think, lahat naman po tayo at some point, may sinukuan. It could be a hobby, a toxic person in life. Ako, marami na, marami na,” pag-amin niya.

Pero yung muntik na raw niyang sukuan pero nagpapasalamat siya na hindi niya sinukuan, ang relasyon daw nila ni Billy.

“Siguro ito, ‘yung relationship. Kasi kapag may mga away, iniisip mo, give-up na. So kami, lumaban at lumaban hanggang sa huli. And I’m really happy that we fought. It’s really a rocky road to get here, but finally, we’re here.”

Ngayon daw, masasabi niyang masaya talaga silang pamilya.

108 lugar sa bansa nasa ilalim ng state of calamity

UMAABOT na sa 108 na lugar sa anim na rehiyon sa Luzon ang nasa ilalim ng state of calamity bunsod ng nagdaang bagyong ‘Egay’ at hanging habagat.

Nabatid sa National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) na nasa 2,452,738 katao o 668,974 na pamilya sa 4,164 na barangays ang apektado sa Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region.

Gayundin sa Western Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) at National Capital Region (NCR).

Pansamantalang sumisilong ang 13,718 pamilya o 50,467 indibidwal sa 736 evacuation centers.

Samantala, nananatili sa 25 ang naiulat na nasawi habang 52 ang sugatan.

Nasa 2.4 milyong Pilipino na sa buong bansa ang naapektuhan ng super typhoon Egay at ng habagat, kung saan libu-libo pa rin ang nasa evacuation centers.

Sinabi ng National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) na 668,974 pamilya o 2,452,738 katao ang naapektuhan ng ika-5 bagyo sa bansa ngayong taon.

Sa nasabing bilang, halos 14,000 pamilya o mahigit 50,000 indibidwal ang nasa loob pa rin ng 736 evacuation centers, karamihan sa Central Luzon at Ilocos Region.

Nananatili sa 25 ang bilang ng mga nasawi dahil sa nagdaang bagyong Egay, na may 2 kumpirmadong namatay at 23 pa rin ang sumasailalim sa validation.

Karamihan sa mga naiulat na namatay ay nasa Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) na may 12, kasunod ang Ilocos Region na may 8.

Hindi bababa sa 52 katao ang nasugatan habang 13 ang nanatiling nawawala. (Daris Jose)

Philippine sovereign debt, tumaas ng P14.5 trillion

NAKAPAGTALA ng bagong mataas na record ang “sovereign debt stock”, “as of end-June” habang lumakas ang pangungutang ng gobyero para tustusan ang financing requirement nito.

Ito ang makikita sa pinakabagong data mula sa Bureau of the Treasury (BTr).

Pumalo sa P14.15 trillion ang total outstanding debt ng bansa , tumaas ng 0.4% mula sa P14.10 trillion “as of end-May.”

“The month-on-month increase was attributed “primarily due to the net issuance of domestic securities,” ayon sa Treasury.

Sa kabuuang debt balance, 68.6% ay nagmula locally habang ang natitira naman na 31.4% ay mula sa foreign sources.

“Broken down, domestic debt totaled P9.70 trillion, up.2% from “as of end-May.” For the month, domestic debt growth amounted to P114.32 billion due to the net issuance of government bonds driven by the national government’s financing requirements,” ayon sa BTr.

Samantala, ang Foreign debt ay umabot naman sa P4.45 trillion, bumaba ng 1.4% month-on-month.

“The reduction in foreign debt was driven by the impact of currency adjustments affecting both US dollar- and third-currency equivalents leading to a decrease in the peso value of the debt, amounting to P69.98 billion and P8.28 billion, respectively,” ayon sa Treasury.

“These more than offset the availment of foreign loans amounting to P15.25 billion,” ayon pa rin sa BTr.

Sa first quarter ng 2023, ang debt-to-gross domestic product (GDP) ratio ng bansa ay 61%, bumaba mula sa 63.5% sa first quarter ng 2022.

Ang debt-to-GDP ratio ay kumatawan naman sa halaga ng debt stock ng gobyerno na may kaugnay sa laki ng ekonomiya.

Target naman ng pamahalaan na ibaba ang debt-to-GDP ratio ng mas mababa sa 60% sa 2025, at mas pababain pa ng hanggang 51.1% sa 2028, at tapyasan ang budget deficit sa 3.0% ng GDP sa 2028. (Daris Jose)

Teves, hindi pa rin itinuturing na pugante

HINDI pa rin itinuturing ng Anti-Terrorism Council (ATC) na isang pugante si Negros Oriental Rep. Arnolfo Teves Jr. sa kabila ng tinawag na itong terorista.

Ang paliwanag ni Assistant Secretary at kasalukuyang Deputy Spokesperson Mico Clavano na wala pa naman kasing warrant of arrest na ipinalalabas laban kay Teves para ikonsidera siya bilang isang pugante.

“(Teves) is not considered a fugitive, a sthis is separate and distinct from a criminal action. Its is only when you are issued a warrant of arrest that you become a fugitive or your status becomes fugitive,” ayon kay Clavano.

“Right now, he is a terrorist, but that’s a far as he goes,” ayon pa rin kay Clavano.

Si Teves at ang kapatid nitong si Pryde Henry Teves at 11 iba pa ay binansagan bilang mga terorista ng ATC sa pamamagitan ng Resolution No. 63 na may petsang July 26.

Nauna rito, base sa probable cause at matibay na commitment, opisyal na hinirang ng ATC ang mga indibidwal at grupo na nagbibigay ng matinding banta sa kapakanan ng bansa.

“First, the Maute Group has long been identified as a terrorist organization with ties to the ISIL and a history of violence culminating in the devastating Marawi Siege in 2017. The designation of Hafidah Romato Maute and Nahara Khairiya Sittie Hamim as terrorists further solidify our resolve to combat terrorism at its roots,” ayon kay Clavano.

Ang National Security Council sa pangunguna ni National Security Adviser Eduardo Año, Vice Chair ng ATC, suportado ang sumusunod na indibidwal bilang terorista sa ilalim ng Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020:

Hafida Romato Maute, asawa ni dating Amir of the Islamic-East Asia, Abu Zacharia, para sa paglabag sa Section IV, Section VI at pag-facilitate ng commission of terrorism sa ilalim ng Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020.
Nahara Khairiya Sittie Hamim, asawa ni Abu Mursid, sub-leader sa finance at logistics officer ng kaparehong organisasyon, para sa paglabag sa Section IV ng Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020.

“Section XXV of RA 11479 bestows on the Anti-Terrorism Council the power to designate a person or an organization as a terrorist, making the power and the process executive in nature,” ayon sa Clavano.

“We wish to emphasize that the killings in the province of Negros Oriental must not be taken as isolated incidence of violence unrelated to each other. These killings reveal an unmistakable pattern of being meticulously planned and executed to ensure the maximum effect on the population of Negros Oriental. The evidence gathered by the ATC compels us not to treat the killings, abuses and the acquisition of high-powered firearms and explosives as independent and isolated crimes because these acts are not committed just to cause injury to people or the grab property. These violent acts were motivated by the underlying objectives to intimidate the residents of Negros Oriental and create an atmosphere of and spread the message of fear, and he is using his position in government to thoroughly control the province through fear and intimidation,” litaniya nito.

Nilinaw din nito na ang paghirang at pagtawag kay Congressman Arnie Teves at sa armadong grupo ay “not solely premised on the assassination of Governor Degamo, rather the killing of Governor Degamo and his supporters helped the Anti-Terrorism Council established the pattern of violent activities that warrant his designation and that of his group as a terrorist organization.”

Ang paghirang ay kailangan para tugunan ang bant ani Teves Group sa seguridad at kapakanan ng bansa lalo na ang mga nakatira sa Negros Oriental.

“In conclusion, the designation of Cong. Teves and his armed group as a terrorist organization is a significant step towards addressing the presence of private armed groups in the country as it sends a clear message against them. Furthermore, it brings us closer to the goal of combating impunity as these designations seek to hold accountable those who perpetrate acts of terrorism and violence in our country. The designation of the Maute and Teves groups as terrorists serve as strong signal that the government is prepared to take decisive measures against any individual or organization that poses a threat to the safety and security of our citizens,” aniya pa rin.

Nauna rito, Sa Resolution No. 43 ng Anti-Terrorism Commission , si Teves at iba pang indibidwal ay lumabag sa Sections 4, 6, 10 at 12 ng Anti-Terrorism Act batay sa sa mga nakalap na ebidensiya ng gobyerno.

Kabilang sa mga idineklarang terorista ay sina Pryde Henry Teves, Nigel Elctona, Hannah Mae Sumero Oray, Marvin Miranda, Rogelio Antipolo, Rommel Pattaguan,Winrich Isturis, John Louie Ganyon, Dahniel Lora, Eulogio Gonyon, Tomasino Aledro at Joemarie Catubay.

Ayon sa Anti-Terrorism Council, si Congressman Teves umano ang mastermind sa Teves terrorist group at sangkot sa ilang insidente ng mga pagpatay at pananakot umano sa Negros Oriental na nagdulot ng takot sa publiko sa kanilang lugar.

Tinukoy sa resolusyon ng ATC ang paglusob umano ng armadong grupo na nagpanggap bilang mga sundalo sa tahanan ni Governor Degamo.

Bukod sa Degamo killing ay marami pa umanong mga insidente ng pagpatay at pananakot ang nangyari sa Negros Oriental na ang itinuturong nasa likod ay ang grupo ng kongresista.

Nakasaad sa resolusyon ng ATC na ang mga insidente ng pagpatay at harassment sa lalawigan ay hindi maituturing na isolated at random incident dahil lumabas sa evaluation na may pattern ng organisadong aksiyon, planado at may intensiyon na maghatid ng takot at terorismo.

Ang resolusyon ay inaprubahan noong July 26, 2023 at pirmado nina Executive Secretary at Anti-Terrorism Council Chairman Lucas Bersamin, National Security Adviser at ATC Vice-Chairman Eduardo Ano, at Retired General Ricardo de Leon na director General ng National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) at Head ng ATC Secretariat. INKA MAGNAYE TO VOICE THE SCARAB FOR PHILIPPINE RELEASE OF WARNER BROS. PICTURES ALL-NEW MOVIE “BLUE BEETLE”

MANILA, August 2 – Warner Bros. Philippines has announced today that Filipina voice talent and content creator Inka Magnaye will voice the Scarab – an ancient alien relic pivotal to the titular DC Super Hero’s story – for the Philippine release of Warner Bros. Pictures’ upcoming action-adventure “Blue Beetle.”

In the film, the Scarab, called Khaji-Da, guides Jaime Reyes (played by “Cobra Kai” breakout star Xolo Maridueña) and helps him discover – and learn to control – his seemingly limitless new powers on his journey to becoming the Super Hero Blue Beetle. In the original version, the Scarab is voiced by singer/actress Becky G.

Filipino talent Inka Magnaye – considered to be royalty in the niche voicework industry in the Philippines – brings her own distinct charm to the voice of the Scarab. Some of the character’s lines are even in Tagalog! Something Pinoy fans should look out for.

20 PORSYENTONG DISKWENTO SA AMILYAR, IPATUTUPAD NG QUEZON CITY

IPATUTUPAD ng lokal na pamahalaan ng Quezon City ang 20% updated discounts para sa nga magbabayad ng kanilang amilyar o Real Property Tax simula sa isang taon para sa mga magbabayad ng RPT ng buo bago o sa December 31.

Ito ay inanunsyo ni Mayor Joy Belmonte matapos lagdaan ang Ordinance Number SP-3179, S-2023 na nag-aamyenda sa Section 12, Article 7 ng Quezon City Revenue Code.

Mayroon ding 10% discount para sa mga magbabayad ng kanilang amilyar para sa taong kasalukuyan sa darating na Marso 31, 2024.

Ayon kay Belmonte, kailangang makakolekta ng buwis upang mapagsilbihan pa ang mga mamamayan ng lungsod na nagbabayad ng kanilang buwis sa tamang oras. Inihayag din ng alkalde na ang Quezon City ang may pinakamababang RPT sa buong kamaynilaan.

Tiniyak din ni Belmonte na ang buwis ng mamamayan ay napupunta sa tama at ito ay napatunayan na ng tatlong magkakasunod-sunod na unqualified opinion na iginawad ng Commission on Audit. Ang nasabing award ay ang pinakamataas na parangal na ibinibigay ng COA sa mga government agencies, kabilang ang mga local government units.

Dagdag pa ng alkalde, hindi dapat mag-alala ang mga mamamayan patungkol sa kanilang ibinabayad na buwis dahil ito ay gagamitin sa pagpapatatag pa ng serbisyo publiko, pagtatayo ng mga imprastruktura at pagpapatupad ng mga proyekto.

Nagtapos si Aiko sa Philippine Women’s University ng kursong Communication Arts Major in Journalism.

“Last year before campaign nag-start ako [mag-aral muli], kasi nag-college ako dati sa St Joseph’s College pero hindi ko natapos sa sobrang busy.

“Mass Commmunication ako, tapos nag-shift ako sa BS Psychology. So na-accredit naman some of my subjects before.’

Kahit busy si Aiko bilang konsehala ng District 5 ng QC at sa pag-aartista ay pinilit niyang makatapos ng kolehiyo dahil ipinangako niya iyon sa namayapa niyang stepfather na si Tito Danny Castañeda at sa mommy ni Aiko na si Mommy Elsie Blardony.

“Yan ang naipangako ko sa daddy Danny ko bago pa siya nawala, na tatapusin ko ang studies ko by hook or by crook.
“And sa mom ko din.”

“Ang kaso di ba showbiz was my bread and butter. So now I have two kids na both nag- excell sa studies nila, I have to finish mine, too.

“So nung pandemic nagkaroon mg ETEEAP course online, blended, nag-enroll ako.”

Ang ETEEAP ay Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program.

“Online at face-to-face course siya with diploma.

“So now tapos ko na siya.

“I think best gift ko ito sa mga anak ko and to also inspire busy working moms like me to finish my course.”

“After nito magma-masteral na ako. Mag-rest lang ako this semester tapos enroll uli,” pagwawakas pa ni Aiko sa aming kuwentuhan.

SA recent episode ng “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda”, kasamang itinanong ng King of Talk sa Kapuso Teen Queen na si Jillian Ward kung sino ang kaniyang showbiz crush.

“Ah, Coco Martin,” masayang sagot ni Jillian sa tanong ni Tito Boy Abunda sa segment na “Fast Talk.”

Kung magkakaroon siya ng concert, sinabi ni Jillian na ang idol niyang si Beyonce ang nais niyang maging special guest.

Taas-pasahe ng LRT-1 at LRT-2, larga na

NAGSIMULA na Agosto 2, ang pagpapatupad ng taas-pasahe ng Light Rail Transit (LRT) Lines 1 at 2 (LRT-2).

Alinsunod ito sa taas-pasahe na inaprubahan ng Rail Regulatory Unit (RRU) ng Department of Transportation (DOTr), nabatid na ang minimum boarding fee para sa mga naturang rail lines ay nasa P13.29 mula sa kasalukuyang P11.

Samantala, ang inaprubahan namang per kilometer rate ay nasa P1.21 mula sa kasalukuyang P1.00.

Batay sa abiso ng Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC), na nangangasiwa sa operasyon ng LRT- 1, ang bagong minimum na pasahe sa LRT-1 ay P14 na at ang maximum naman ay P35 para sa Store Value Cards (SVCs).

Para naman sa Single Journey Tickets (SJTs), ito ay nagkakahalaga ng P15 hanggang P35.

Sinabi naman ng DOTr na mula sa kasalukuyang P12 minimum na pamasahe sa stored value o beep card ng LRT-2, ay magiging P14 na ito.

Magiging P33 naman ang maximum fare mula Recto Station hanggang Antipolo Station, mula sa dating P28.

Kung gagamit anila ng SJT ang pasahero, mananatili sa P15 ang mimimum fare habang P35 ang maximum fare mula sa kasalukuyang P30.

Ayon sa DOTr, ang karagdagang pamasahe ay gagamitin para sa pagsasaayos at pagpapabuti ng mga pasilidad at serbisyo ng LRT-2.

Nabatid na taong 2015 pa ng huling inaprubahan ang fare adjustment para sa naturang rail lines.

Samantala, tiniyak naman ng Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), na siyang nangangasiwa sa operasyon ng LRT-2, na magbibigay pa rin sila ng 20% discount sa mga pasaherong senior citizen, person with disability (PWD) at mga estudyante.

Pinapayuhan din ng LRTA ang mga pasahero na gumamit ng stored value card o beep card para makatipid at makaiwas sa abala. (Gene Adsuara)

Pag-uusap at konsultasyon sa pribadong sektor, kailangan para sa importasyon ng bigas-DA

INAMIN ni Department of Agriculture (DA) Usec. Mercedita Sombilla na kailangan na magkaroon ng pag-uusap at konsultasyon sa pribadong sektor para sa gagawing importasyon ng bigas.

Sa press briefing sa Malakanyang, sinabi ni Sombilla na “I think the President will really have to do some consultations with the private sector so that, you know, for them to help us. I think we really need the help of the private sector in situations like these.”

Sinabi ni Sombilla na mayroon silang iniskedyul o nag-iskedyul na sila ng importasyon ng bigas.

“We have already, you know… remember nasa sanitary, phytosanitary hindi ba. We have already something like 1.3 volume of applications that are already pending there. So, what we are going to be doing is to really encourage the private sector to get this,” ani Sombilla.

Wala namang maibigay na eksaktong petsa si Sombilla sa kung kailan isasagawa ang importasyon ng nasabing produkto.

“But you know, those are the things… iyon ang mga measures that we are putting in place, you know, to really mitigate the impact of these events,” aniya pa rin sabay sabay sabing “metric tons, yeah. Iyon ‘yung SPA-SIC ha, application. But as you know, hindi lahat iyon pumupunta that’s why we have to encourage the private sector to really, you know, get all these…”

Sa kabilang dako, wala namang ideya si Sombilla kung dalawang na lamang ang buffer stock ng NFA.

Ayon kasi sa Rice Tariffication Law ay 9 days dapat ito.

“Well, I have to check on how the calculations was done, you know. Hindi ko alam kung iyong two days diyan is across the nation. You remember that NFA is only for emergency. So iyon ang hindi ko maano… I will have to talk, to discuss with them how they are coming up with that two days,” anito.

“But of course, really, their stocks really is very low. They will really need to beef up their stocks and there are some ways by which, you know, we have identified also for them to, you know, to help them beef up their stocks – and one of them is contract growing… yeah, one of them is contract growing ‘no so that ano na… targeted na kung—I mean, mayroon na silang pagkukuhanan ng buffer stocks nila, “ aniya pa rin sabay sabing “The mechanics of it, we’ll be discussing it but I think, you know, it’s already more or less in place. I think we’re going to be starting it, you know… kahit ngayon na, I think they have already talked with the national rice program na mayroon na silang kinakausap na mga cooperatives at saka mga groups of rice na, you know, all their produce will go to NFA.” (Daris Jose)
