Posted on: April 6th, 2024 by @peoplesbalita No Comments
Ronald Sanchez at P/Lt.
(Richard Mesa)

Join Paul Rudd and Carrie Coon for a Chilling “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” Experience!

Posted on: April 6th, 2024 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

JOIN Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, and the original Ghostbusters crew for an unforgettable cinematic journey in “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire”. Experience the perfect mix of comedy, horror, and heart in theaters starting April 10.

There’s something undeniably special about catching a movie on the big screen. The booming sounds, the crystal-clear visuals – it’s an immersive experience that can’t be replicated at home. And according to Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire stars Paul Rudd and Carrie Coon, their latest supernatural adventure is a prime example of a film that deserves the theatrical treatment. It would be very cool to see Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire in a movie theater, says Paul Rudd, who plays Gary Grooberson in the film.

“Seeing any movie in a movie theater is the way to do it, you can’t beat it,” says Rudd. “There is so much that goes into sound and design and everything. To be able to see it on a massive screen and hear it, you know, you hear things in theaters that you don’t hear at home. It’s an immersive experience. So if you’re going to check it out, go for the best way of checking it out.”

Coon, who plays the whip-smart Callie Spengler in the film, chimes in to add another benefit of the big screen experience: the special effects. “And you can feel the special effects, so many of our special effects are practical, just like in the original film.”

“You’ll really be able to tell when it’s blown up in front of you this big,” adds Rudd.

But Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire isn’t just about impressive visuals and bone-rattling sound effects. The film also boasts a team-up for the ages, with Rudd and Coon joining forces with the beloved original Ghostbusters – Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts – was one of the highlights of filming the movie. “It’s very exciting for us as actors to, first of all, put on a flight suit and a proton pack, but to get to do it alongside the original Ghostbusters was really the thrill of a lifetime,” says Rudd. “By the end of the movie, there are a lot of flight suits flying around, ghosts flying around, extremes from proton packs.”

“Critical mass of ghostbusting,” adds Coon, laughing.

While the action sequences promise to be epic, Coon assures us that Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire also packs a punch when it comes to scares. “I know our director Gil Kenan set out to make a really scary Ghostbusters sequel, and I think he was successful,” says Coon. “I think the idea of the death chill is really a great opener for the film – the fact that you can be frozen and then shatter into a million tiny pieces – very scary.”

But Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is about more than just ghosts and ghouls. At its core, the film is a story about family.

“Thematically, all the Ghostbusters films seem to revolve around some kind of family, a group of people that need each other, who are stronger when they work together,” says Rudd. “In this one, in particular, we now have kids and parents. Family is central to the story.”

Family being central to the story is one of the things Coon loves about the film. “What I love about this one in particular is that the family is still the center of the story, there’s still the question of how outsiders and misfits can save the world, which I think most of us, at some point in our lives feel like we are on the outside of something and I think everybody relates to that,” she says.

Other than the family theme, Coon shares more reasons to watch Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. “It’s funny, because we have these amazing comedians as well as the original Ghostbusters,” she says. “It’s scary, we have some really terrifying ghosts and also some charming ghosts that the original fans will enjoy but the new fans will also appreciate because you haven’t seen them before. This movie is just a really nice mix of comedy and horror and irreverence just like the original film.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age. Besides Rudd, Coon and the original Ghostbusters, the film also stars Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, Celeste O’Connor and Logan Kim.

Posted on: April 6th, 2024 by @peoplesbalita No Comments
“Anyway paano ba? So kasi family drama ‘to, it’s not as mabigat as I’m used to, it’s nice kasi kahit na kontrabida yung role ko dito parang there’s a lightness, I think.
“Or humor to my character in a sense where sa sobrang arte ni Venus I feel like magugustuhan siya ng mga tao kasi mae-entertain sila.
“Because it’s something… kakaibang Max Collins ang mapapanood niyo po dito.”
Lahad ni Max, “It’s been such a joy playing Venus kasi funny talaga. I mean nae-enjoy ko being a kontrabida for the first time, in a light sense.
Parang forgiving, parang forgiving for me kasi ano naman e, as you saw sa AVPparang malalim yung galit ni Venus kay Katherine at kay Tita Nova, may malalim siyang pinaghuhugutan but if you actually watched our scenes parang may pagka-funny rin yung mga away namin.
“So iyon yung mae-enjoy rin ng mga bata to watch, it’s something that is for the whole family at hindi talaga nila gagayahin, hindi nila gagayahin,” ang natatawang sinabi pa ni Max.
Mahirap bang apihin si Marian?
“No,” ang mabilis na reaksyon ni Max.
“Hindi po ako nahirapan kasi professional po ako and I love my job as an actress, it’s my job, and it’s been fun kasi nag-uusap kami beforehand e, before the scene.
“Talagang like, ‘Okay ba, na sampalin kita?’
Leading man ni Marian sa My Guardian Alien si Gabby Concepcion bilang si Carlos at kasama sina Raphael Landicho as Doy, Gabby Eigenmann as Dr. Ceph, Kiray Celis as Marites, Josh Ford as Aries, Caitlyn Stave as Halley, at si Christian Antolin as Sputnik.

Posted on: April 6th, 2024 by @peoplesbalita No Comments
“What the President really wants is a comprehensive, holistic approach to solving the traffic problem – hindi iyong piecemeal approach ‘no as has been the case all these years ‘no,” ayon kay Balisacan.
”We had a very long discussion on the traffic issue and the President gave instruction to everyone to submit their recommendations, how their respective offices will adjust and configure their work environment,” aniya pa rin.
Aniya pa, sa pagpa-plano ng transport system sa Pilipinas, ”we should be looking at intermodal transport system.”
”They operate efficiently as a whole. We are building now the subway, we are building other expressways, bridges connecting Bataan and Cavite and so on,” ayon kay Balisacan.
”But these have to be seen in the context of all the other transport system including bike lanes, motorcycle lanes like that and as well as feeder roads and including the location of industries, residences and so on,” dagdag na wika nito. (Daris Jose)
