Gadgets na inisyu sa mga guro, ‘di binabawi ng DepEd

PINABULAANAN ng Department of Education (DepEd) sa National Capital Region (NCR) na inutusan nila ang mga guro na ibalik ang mga ibinigay nilang gadgets para sa distance learning.

Ito ang inihayag ni DepEd Spokesman Michael Poa bilang reaksyon sa pahayag ng Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) na nagsabing ipinababalik nila (DepEd) ang mga inisyung laptops, desktops, tablets at smart phones sa mga guro nang ipatupad ang distance learning.

Sa statement na inilabas ng ACT, nakatanggap umano sila ng ulat sa ilang public school teachers na inatasan sila ibalik ang mga gadgets dahil na rin sa pagpapatupad ng full face-to-face classes na magsisimula na nga ngayong araw na ito Nob. 2.

Gayunman, pinabulaan ito ng DepEd’s regional director sa NCR na naglinaw na wala silang ibinababa na ganitong kautusan. (Daris Jose)

‘Online modus’ maaaring dumami pa ngayong holiday season; pulisya, pinag-iingat ang publiko

PINAG-IINGAT ngayon ng pulisya ang publiko sa posibleng paglaganap ng mga online scams lalo na’t nalalapit na ang holiday season.

Sa mensahe ni Police Regional Office-7 director police Brigadier General Roderick Augustus Alba, sinabi pa nito na panahon ito na maaaring magsamantalaa ang mga may pakana sa online modus.

Kaugnay nito, pinaalalahanan ni Alba ang publiko na mag-ingat sa mga text message, email, at tawag na natatanggap mula sa mga hindi rehistradong numero o email addresses.

Hangga’t maaari pa ay agad itong burahin at wag nang i-click ang anumang natanggap na kahina-hinalang link.

Ang tinutukoy ni Derek ay si Elias na anak ng dating magkarelasyon na sina John Lloyd Cruz at Ellen Adarna na misis na ngayon ni Derek.

“But with that said, I don’t want to disrespect John Lloyd,” pagpapatuloy pa ni Derek.

“He’s the biological father and I’m always going to be second best to John Lloyd. But I love him like he’s my own.

“I told John Lloyd that his son is always going to be safe when he’s with me. Elias is a very smart and affectionate boy. Sobrang bait and respectful. “Elias and I really get along kasi same maturity level. Hahahaha!

“Ngayon, nagpapabili na siya ng mga golf gloves. Mahirap lang turuan kasi alam na daw niya. Tinuturuan ko siyang pumalo ng golf ball, sabi ko, ‘Do this.’ Sabi niya, ‘No, I know already.’

“Sabi ko, ‘No, you don’t know anything yet.’ Sagot niya, ‘No, I know everything.’ Wala na akong masagot. Sabi ko na lang, ‘Sige, you know everything.'”

Isa si Elias sa mga dahilan kung bakit nag-retire si Derek sa showbiz.

“Sobra kong na-enjoy being a step father to Elias siguro kasi hindi ko na-experience iyon with my son growing up because he was abroad with his mother.”

May anak si Derek, si Austin na nineteen years old na ngayon, sa dating modelong si Mary Christine Jolly.

“So, I’m really enjoying being a father, I’m really enjoying being a husband, and I’m really enjoying spending so much time with my parents and my wife.”

“BONES AND ALL” EARNS GOTHAM NOMINATIONS FOR TAYLOR RUSSELL, MARK RYLANCE

THE Gotham Film & Media Institute announced recently the nominations for the 32nd Annual Gotham Awards in which Warner Bros. Pictures’ new romantic thriller “Bones and All” was recognized with two nominations for its cast members.

Taylor Russell is nominated for Outstanding Lead Performance, while Mark Rylance scored an Outstanding Supporting Performance nomination. Russell and Rylance play society outcasts who approach their otherness in completely opposite ways. (Starting last year, the acting categories in Gotham Awards has been gender-neutral.)

The Gotham Awards, one of the leading honors for independent film and television, provides early acknowledgement to groundbreaking independent films and television series. NABISTO ang dalang shabu ng isang 43-anyos na welder matapos masita ng mga pulis dahil sa bitbit nitong isang improvised ice pick sa Valenzuela City.

Nahaharap sa kasong pagpabag sa Article 151 of RPC, PB6 at RA 9165 ang naarestong suspek na kinilalang si Malvin Malatamban ng Phase 2 Hambord St. Brgy. Lawa Meycauyan, Bulacan.

Sa kanyang report kay Valenzuela police Chief Col. Salvador Destura Jr, sinabi ni PSSg Carlos Erasquin Jr, habang naka-duty sina PSMS Roberto Santillan at Pat Leonardo Quimson, kapwa ng Sub-Station 6 ng Valenzuela police sa Valenzuela Memorial Cemetery nang maispatan nila ang suspek na naglalakad sa C. Molina St. Brgy. Veinte Reales dakong alas-5 ng hapon at may hawak na improvised ice pick.

Nilapitan siya at sinita ng dalawa saka nagpakilalang mga pulis at nang aarestuhin na ang suspek dahil sa dalang deadly weapon ay pumalag ito at kumaripas ng takbo.
