Koleksyon mula sa WISP, pumalo sa P35.84B

Posted on: April 3rd, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments
“From January to December 2021, we initially collected P15.48 billion. In 2022, the savings collection grew by 31% to P20.4 billion which brought the total WISP contributions to P35.84 billion,” ani Macasaet.
Ang WISP ay  “one of the key provisions under Republic Act No. 11199 or the Social Security Act of 2018.”
“It is a safe, convenient, principal-protected, and tax-free individual retirement savings plan which will supplement a member’s savings from their regular Social Security program,” ayon sa ulat.
“Under the WISP, each contributing member will have an account wherein SSS will place their contributions and investment earnings. Not only are they saving for their retirement, but their contributions are also earning through the program,” ayon naman kay Macasaet.
“The SSS pools the contributions collected from the program and invests them in the capital markets. Earnings realized from the WISP will be distributed proportionately based on the member’s contributions. Members can check their WISP contribution online through their My.SSS account,” ayon kay Macasaet sabay sabing “Members can log in on their online account. Go to the Inquiry tab and click on Contributions to view their contributions in the WISP as well as their contributions in the regular Social Security program and WISP Plus.”
“The program had a good start with a 6.39% return on investment (ROI) in 2021 and an estimated 3.4% ROI in 2022. It outperformed the balance fund market benchmarks, which were 0.15% and -1.25% in 2021 and 2022, respectively. This indicates that members’ savings invested in WISP will generate decent earnings, which will be added to their total contributions. Consequently, when they retire, they will receive higher benefits from the program,” ang dagdag na wika ni Macasaet. (Daris Jose)

Posted on: April 3rd, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments
“Lyrids will peak on April 23, but it can be observed beginning April 16 until April 25,” ayon sa PAGASA
“The shower will produce the best display shortly before dawn, with up to 16 meteors per hour.  The value mentioned assumes that the observer is in a clear, dark, moonless sky condition and that the radiant is highest in the sky,” dagdag na wika nito.
Sa kabilang dako, ang Pi Puppids ay magiging aktibo naman mula Abril 15 hanggangApril 28, at inaasahan na “to peak on April 24.”
“[It] can be observed after sunset until the shower’s radiant sinks towards the horizon at around 10:10 p.m.,”  ayon pa rin sa PAGASA.
(Daris Jose)

Paalala ni PBBM sa Air Force: Keep assets ‘ready’ for deployment

Posted on: April 3rd, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments
“Should any unfortunate events happen, we must be able to assess and to be able to respond quickly,” ayon sa Pangulo sa kanyang talumpati.
“I therefore direct the Philippine Air Force and the AFP to continue developing your capabilities for conducting maintenance and repair to keep all our military assets ready to go,”aniya pa rin.
“Remain steadfast as you continue to perform your duties especially in the crucial role as the country’s first line of defense against external security threats,” dagdag na wika nito.
“We cannot afford to waste any time in the mission to save lives, therefore the existence of this air assets is crucial to ensure that information, aid, and responder are made available to effectively help affected areas,” ayon sa Pangulo.
“I would like to convey and remind everyone of the sheer importance and of air worthiness and structural integrity of our air assets to ensure their effectiveness and guarantee the safety of their users,” dagdag na pahayag nito sabay sabing “Maintenance and repair are key aspects of our operations as well as important decision points in the acquisition of additional assets.”
Bagama’t hindi direktang binanggit ng Pangulo ang usapin ukol sa  South Chine Sea, sinabi nito na siya’y nakatitiyak na ang “partners” ng Pilipinas ay “will be more than willing to aid us in developing your capabilities in making the necessary investments to ensure that we achieve our shared goals for the country and for this region.”
“I recognize the Philippine Air Force as well as express my appreciation to our partners in the US government and Portugal for making all these possible,” ayon sa Pangulo.
“It is a testament not only to our enduring friendship but also of your support to the Philippines’ agenda of enhancing our country’s air transport defense and disaster response capabilities,” dagdag na pahayag nito. (Daris Jose)

Posted on: April 3rd, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments
“I urge all of us now to make this promise personal: Let it stir in each of us the desire to know Jesus Christ more so that we may become better agents of change and conveyors of truth wherever we go,”  ayon sa Pangulo.
“No matter how constant or diverse the occasion is in the Filipino psyche, one thing emerges true each time: That God, in His divine and everlasting wisdom, manifested His immeasurable and incomparable love to us all through the very human person of Jesus Christ,” diing pahayag ng CHief Executive.
Habang nagtitika, nangingilin ang mga Filipino kasabay ng pagninilay-nilay sa epekto ng matinding pagdurusa at pagkamatay ni Hesukristo, sinabi ng Pangulo na ito’y  “inevitable that our thoughts will gravitate to the events and challenges of recent years.”
Dahil dito, nanawagan ang Pangulo sa mga Filipino na “direct our thoughts and our actions more to the resurrection of the Lord and the victory that this gives us to this very day.” (Daris Jose)

Chris Evans Reflects His Potential Return In ‘Knives Out’ Sequel

Posted on: April 3rd, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

‘KNIVES Out’ star Chris Evans reflects on the way his character could return.

The 2019 film, which was directed by Rian Johnson, centered on the mystery surrounding the murder of crime novelist Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer). Although it at first seemed to be caused by the actions of his nurse Marta Cabrera (Ana de Armas), detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) discovered that the true culprit was Harlan’s grandson Ransom Drysdale, the character portrayed by Evans.

Per ComicBook.com, Evans recently appeared at a panel at Chicago’s C2E2. During the event, he was asked if Ransom might return in a potential Knives Out sequel. While he couldn’t confirm any such thing actually happening, he did offer an idea as to how Ransom could reappear with an “elaborate plan to actually take down Benoit Blanc and Marta.”

So far, only one character has carried over to other films in the Knives Out universe. That would be Blanc himself, who reappeared in the 2022 Netflix sequel Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. However, the rest of the Glass Onion cast was made up of newcomers including Janelle Monáe, Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, and Kate Hudson.

So far, there is only one other Knives Out film confirmed to be in the pipeline. That would be the second film ordered by Netflix when they bought the rights to create sequels to the original film. However, Glass Onion was a substantial hit for the platform, so it seems possible the fracnhise could continue if the next film strikes a similar chord with audiences.

While the Knives Out series has not set a precedent for having other characters return, Ransom’s return may be a tempting hook for Knives Out 3. Considering the fact that it may be capping off a trilogy should Netflix not renew their interest in the franchise, Johnson may take Evans’ enthusiasm into consideration while shaping the next story.

This could also open the door for the potential return of one or more Glass Onion characters, making the third film something of a victory lap. (sources: ComicBook.com/screenrant.com)

SolGen, iginiit na legitimate law enforcement operation ang war on drugs

Posted on: April 3rd, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments
“Hindi natin tinatarget ‘yung drug pusher or ‘yung user.
“Ang bilang nila is mahigit 6,000 ang mga namatay so parang in a way, it is an admission na ganoon karami ang namatay,” dagdag na wika nito.
“Baka natatakot sila or baka wala talaga silang tiwala.
Gayunman, ang mga kakulangan aniyang ito ay hindi “sufficient reasons to call other institutions to take over the investigations.”
Parang sinabi niya na, ‘Our appeal has failed.’ It gave me the impression na ang tingin niya ay dismissed na yung ating appeal,” ayon sa  Solicitor General.
“Buhay na buhay pa yung apela natin. As a matter of fact, yung ICC prosecutor next week pa mag-fa-file yun ng response doon sa ating appeal brief. It’s a long process, it’s still there. It’s still pending,” tinuran ni Guevarra.
“Quite unfortunately, itong Appeals Chamber, pinost agad nila sa website yung ruling nila on non-incidental matter.
(Daris Jose)
