Hindi mo naman maalis na hindi ganoon ang maging feelings nila dahil for almost 3 years magkakasama sila sa taping araw at gabi, kaya parang naging tunay na silang magkakapatid na nagtutulungan sa tapings at promos ng show.

Malapit na ang finale nila this September, 2023. Napapanood ang “Voltes V: Legacy”, 8 p.m. Mondays to Fridays, after “24 Oras.”

Maria.

The other day, sa birthday ni Ogie Alcasid, nag-guest sina Michael V at Manilyn Reynes. Nag-share silang tatlo ng memories nilang tatlo noon. Ogie and Michael V treated the madlang pipol ng short performance nila ng kanilang “Yaya and Angelina” characters na naging famous noon sa “Bubble Gang.”

China, kinastigo ang US-South Korea-Japan deal

Posted on: August 23rd, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

“The Asia Pacific, which the Philippines is part of, should “not be turned into a boxing ring,” ayon sa  China.

Sinabi ni Wenbin na kung ang kasunduan ay ginawa na walang anuman na pinupuntirya, ang Estados Unidos aniya ay kailangan na “match its words with actions and act on its statement that the revitalization of its alliances is not targeted at China.”

“A cold war mentality, which may include tension covering economic and political actions, could also be revived following this recent development in the region,” babala ni Wenbin.

“The Asia-Pacific region is a promising land for peace and development. It should not be turned into a boxing ring for major power rivalry, still less a battlefield of cold war or hot war,” aniya pa rin.

“Attempts to stoke a new cold war in the region will be met by firm rejection of regional countries and peoples,” dagdag na wika nito.

Subalit sinabi ni Wenbin na ang  China ay  “always abides by international law, including UNCLOS (United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea).

Sinisisi naman ng China ang US government para sa  “to great lengths to interfere in the South China Sea issue,” branding the latter as a “disrupter and saboteur of the regional order.”

“The US has become the biggest threat and challenge to regional peace and stability,” ayon kay Wenbin.

Aniya pa rin,  ipagpapatuloy ng Chinese government na   “to firmly defend its sovereignty and security interests” at makipagtulungan sa ASEAN countries. (Daris Jose)

ALITUNTUNIN SA PAGBILI NG BOTO ILALABAS NG COMELEC

Posted on: August 23rd, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

“In the next few days, the Comelec will be announcing certain revolutionary guidelines when it comes to campaign against vote buying.”

“We will be making some presumptions which had not been done before by the Commission on Elections,” sabi ni Comelec Chairman George Garcia sa CNN Philippines’ The Source.

“These people will just say, we are just sending to our relatives or what. But you are sending within the same barangay and you are sending ₱2,000 each, and you have not sent before. And then therefore, you should be presumed as involved in vote buying especially if the sending happens during the campaign period,” paliwanag ni Garcia .

Since the 1985 law does not cover this modern way of sending money, then the Comelec under the constitution can always promulgate guidelines or rules to cover what is lacking in our law,” binanggit ni Garcia .

GENE ADSUARA

Posted on: August 23rd, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

Ayon sa Mayo Clinic, “Toxoplasmosis is an infection with a parasite called Toxoplasma gondii. People often get the infection from eating undercooked meat. You can also get it from contact with cat feces. The parasite can pass to a baby during pregnancy.”

“On the evening of August 16, I was told that my recent test results for a parasitic disease called Toxoplasmosis confirmed that it was a recent infection and could be a potential risk for you, if it passed through the placenta.

“Your dad scheduled a call with a specialist in this field and I had to take the zoom call inside Christelle’s car on top of this mountain called Chasseral as the sun was setting.

“As darkness set in, so did the reality of the possible repercussions of congenital toxoplasmasis. I was told there could be brain damage, visual impairment or it could even lead to pregnancy loss.

“For the first time in my life, I felt a very primal urge to fight, not only for myself, but for another human. For you, anak. I remember crying as soon as the zoom meeting was done and stepping out of the car, rushing to the edge of the mountain and, with tears streaming down my face, saying “No. No. No! Lalaban tayo, anak. Lalaban tayo!”

“This was the first time I felt deeply connected to you. I knew that we would fight this together. I knew that God was on our side and he would make sure everything turns out well.

“I am so glad I held on to this faithfully in my mind as we went through our toxo journey. We had to stay in the U.K. because there are no advanced testing or treatments available in the Philippines. The frequent tests, the anxious waiting for result after result, the escapades to find the scarce medication, added up to my introduction to motherhood. Thank God that we concluded that you were safe. The placenta did it’s job to keep the toxo out.

“As I watch you grow into the healthy and strong baby that you are, I marvel at God’s divine timing, plan and His grace. Thank you for being one with me in that battle. We are so blessed to have you, anak. Mahal na mahal kita. Love, Mama #deardeiaamihan.”

Posted on: August 23rd, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

“We have a pending motion for reconsideration because our original petition was not granted,” wika ni Philippine National Taxi Operators Association (PNTOA) president Bong Suntay.

Posted on: August 23rd, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

But I know in my heart that I need to be strong. And I remain strong in finding better ways to give them all the help and support they need,” ayon sa Kalihim.

“The CAF will partially finance outpatient and inpatient cancer control services. This include,  but is not limited to, therapeutic procedures and other cancer medicines needed for the treatment and management of cancer and its care-related components,” ayon sa DBM.

“The CAF aims to fill the financial gap in cancer diagnostics and laboratories, which PhilHealth does not cover. On average, Filipino families spend approximately P150,000 per patient for these treatments,” ayon pa rin sa departamento.

(Daris Jose)

WILL FERRELL LENDS VOICE TO AN ABANDONED DOG IN RAUNCHY HEARTWARMING COMEDY “STRAYS”

Posted on: August 23rd, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

FROM the worldwide box-office hit Barbie, Will Ferrell stars in the latest feral comedy movie Strays, a subversion of the dog movies we know and love. Ferrell lends his voice to a naïve, relentlessly optimistic Border Terrier named Reggie who was abandoned on the mean city streets by his lowlife owner, Doug (Will Forte; The Last Man on Earth, Nebraska).

In this hilarious comedy, Reggie along with three other adorable mischievous dogs strut the streets to go back home because he is certain that his beloved owner would never leave him on purpose. But once Reggie falls in with a fast-talking, foul-mouthed Boston Terrier named Bug (Oscar® winner Jamie Foxx; Ray, Soul), a stray who loves his freedom and believes that owners are for suckers, Reggie finally realizes he was in a toxic relationship and begins to see Doug for the heartless sleazeball that he is.

Directed by Josh Greenbaum, the comedy features a powerhouse comedic supporting cast—including Grammy winner Josh Gad (Beauty and the Beast) as Gus, a Labrador Retriever; Harvey Guillën (Puss in Boots: The Last Wish) as Shitstain, a Chihuahua; Emmy nominee Rob Riggle (The Hangover) as Rolf, a German Shepherd; Brett Gelman (Stranger Things) as Willy, a despicable Animal Control officer; Jamie Demetriou (Pinocchio) as Chester, a Bulldog; and Emmy nominee Sofia Vergara (Modern Family) as Dolores The Couch, the inanimate object of Bug’s affection.

Upending audience expectations, Strays explores the saltier side of a man’s best friend but makes the audience care more about the characters with all its elements of love and loyalty in the midst of an emotional journey trying to find out the truth about humans. “What really surprised me was the heart and depth in the script, with fully developed characters,” Greenbaum says. “It reminded me of films like Stand by Me and Breaking Away, where friends become family.”

Ferrell was immediately amused by the concept of an R-rated dog film, but it was the heart of it that hooked him. “I immediately loved that the premise emulated a Homeward Bound type of dog movie with a journey behind it, yet it’s filthy and R-rated,” Ferrell says. “I remember thinking it could be really great and could be something we’ve never seen before. The audaciousness of the premise and the sweet, earnest relationships between the dogs surprised me.”

To play Reggie, Ferrell tapped into Reggie’s evolution from affectionate rube to confident hero. “Reggie is the ultimate glass-half-full kind of sweet little guys,” Ferrell says. “He wakes up with a smile on his face every day and just wants to have an owner who loves him. To play someone who just sees the best in everything and everyone was a really fun thing to do for me. There’s a real innocence, sweetness and earnestness to Reg, and it’s really fun to watch him describe fetch-and-fuck, this amazing, diabolical game. To have him explain it to his new friends and watch his world kind of collapse around him and realize that everything he believed in is now thrown out the window, was a really interesting and enjoyable experience.”

Strays, Ferrell says, is really a story about friendship, love, loss and the absurdity of life. “The audacity of the film is what makes it original,” Ferrell says. “It goes to a place that you don’t expect it’s going to go. That been said, there are real tender moments where Reggie, who’s walked through life with rose-colored glasses on despite living in horrible circumstances, is educated about what the real world is like. That intersection there is super sweet and really earned.”

From Universal Pictures International, Strays is rated R-16 by the local censors board and will open on September 13 in cinemas.

PROGRAMA PARA SA EMPLOYMENT NG MGA PWDs, INILUNSAD NG QC

Posted on: August 23rd, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

(PAUL JOHN REYES)

Work-from-home, angkop at mabuti lamang sa panahon ng pandemya-PSAC

Posted on: August 23rd, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

Sa katunayan, sinabi ni PSAC Lead for Jobs at Go Negosyo founder Jose Ma.

There will be less mobility. If there is less mobility, there is less consumption,” ayon kay Concepcion.

State of Public Health Emergency.

“Siyempre,  I understand that certain sectors, they can work-from-home because they are in the IT (information technology) sector. But I would really encourage that we, to stimulate the economy, we have to encourage more mobility,” ayon kay Concepcion.

“If there is no mobility, there will be very weak consumer spending and that will lead to a lower number in our growth of the Philippines,” dagdag na wika nito.

(Daris Jose)
