4 drug suspects timbog sa P1.2M shabu sa Caloocan

Arestado ang apat na drug suspects, kabilang ang top one drug personality ng National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) sa isinagawang magkahiwalay na buy-bust operation ng pulisya sa Caloocan city, kahapon ng madaling araw.

Ayon kay Northern Police District (NPD) Director PBGen. Eliseo Cruz, dakong 10 ng gabi nang magsagawa ang mga operatiba ng District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) sa pangunguna ni P/Maj. Ramon Aquiatan Jr. ng buy-bust operation sa No. 194 Heroes Del 96 Brgy. 74 Zone 7 Caloocan City na nagresulta sa pagkakaaresto kay Jesy Boy Cruz, 38, Prince Kevin Esteve, 25, at Marlon Yuki, 36, pawang dating nakulong dahil sa ilegal na droga at nakalaya sa pamamagitan ng plea bargaining agreement.

Narekober sa mga suspek ang nasa 70 gramo ng hinihinalang shabu na may standard drug price na P476,000 ang hahalaga, marked money, cellphone, digital weighing scale, P900 drug money at ilang drug paraphernalias.

Nang tanungin ng mga operatiba ang mga suspek kung sino ang kanilang source ng ilegal na droga ay nakipagtulungan naman ang mga ito at inginuso si alyas Jeff na kanilang Boss at source ng illegal na drugs.

Kaagad nagsagawa ng follow-up buy bust operation ang mga operatiba ng DDEU sa 28 Guido 4 Brgy. 33 District 2 Zone 3 Caloocan City na nagresulta sa pagkakaaresto kay Jeffrey Madera, 40, tricycle drive, matapos bentahan ng P10,000 halaga ng shabu ang isang pulis na nagpanggap na buyer.

Nakumpiska kay Madera ang nasa 110 gramo ng hinihinalang shabu na may standard drug price na P748,000 ang halaga, marked money, digital weighing scale at cellphone.

Ayon kay P/Capt. Aquiatan, si Madera ang top one drug personality ng NCRPO at siya umano ang matunog na nagbebenta at nagde-deliver ng ilegal na droga sa area ng Camanava. (Richard Mesa)

3,000 DAYUHAN, PINAUWI

UMABOT sa 3,000 na mga dayuhan ang pinabalik sa kanilang bansa noong nakaraang taon dahil sa paglabag ng Philippine Imigration Law, ayon sa Bureau of immigration.

Sinabi ni BI Commissioner Jaime Morente, na naguna sa listahan ang Chinese na 3,219 noong 2020, sumunod ang Vietnamese ( 60) habang 40 ang Koreans, 25 ang mga Americans, 20 ang Japanese, 12 ang Indians, at Pakistanis (5).

BI Commissioner Jaime Morente disclosed that Chinese deportees, who totaled 3,009, comprised the bulk of the 3,219 aliens who were sent out in 2020.

“Deported aliens are automatically placed in our blacklist, and are banned from re-entering the Philippines,” ayon kay Morente.

Sinabi nito na karamihan sa mga pinabalik na mga dayuhan ay inaresto dahil sa walang working permit, involvement in unauthorized online gaming operations, telecommunications fraud, economic crimes, investment scams, at cybercrime activities.

“We have arrested big batches of aliens in the past years through joint operations of BI operatives with other local law enforcement agencies,” dagga pa ni Morente.

Ipinaliwanag ng BI Chief na dahil na nangyaring pandemic ang bilang ay bumaba noong nakaraang taon kumpara sa mahigit na 6,000 na pinaalis noong 2019. “This was a result of travel restrictions imposed by the government, wherein very little number of aliens were able to enter the country,” ayon pa sa BI Chief. CZECH REPUBLIC, KASAMA NA RIN SA TRAVEL RESTRICTION

KASAMA na rin ang Czech Republic sa listahan ng mga bansa sa travel restriction, ayon sa Bureau of Immigration (BI)

Ito ang sinabi BI Commissioner Jaime Morente sa isang advisory kung saan magsisimula ang travel restriction 0001H ng Enero 28 hanggang sa katapusan ng buwan.

“We have received a directive expanding the travel restrictions to include aliens coming from the Czech Republic, or those who have been there within 14 days preceding arrival in the Philippines,” “This will take effect 0001H of January 28, until the end of the month,” ayon kay Morente.

Dahil dito, umabot na sa 36 na bansa ang may travel restrictions.

Sa kasalukuyan, ang BI ay nagpapatupad ng travel van sa mga banyaga na may travel history sa loob ng 14 na araw kabilang ang United Kingdom, Denmark, Ireland, Japan, Australia, Israel, The Netherlands, The People’s Republic of China, including Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Switzerland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Lebanon, Singapore, Sweden, South Korea, South Africa, Canada, Spain, and the United States.

Kabilang din sa may travel ban ay yaon mga bansa na nagmumula sa Portugal, India, Finland, Norway, Jordan, Brazil, Austria, Pakistan, Jamaica, Luxembourg, at Oman.

Kamakailan ang Malacanang ay nag-utos din ng pagbabawal sa United Arab Emirates at Hungary .

Sa datos, noong 2020, mayroon lamang 3,184 na mga Czechs ang pumasok sa bansa bago ipatupad ang travel restriction dahil sa Covid 19 at ang bagong variants. (GENE ADSUARA )

‘Hello Stranger: The Movie’ Streams Worldwide this Valentine’s Season

COMING from its huge success as digital BL (Boys’ Love) series in 2020, Hello Stranger, top billed by Tony Labrusca and JC Alcantara, returns this February 12, 2021 as a full-length feature film.

Produced by ABS-CBN Films – Black Sheep, Hello Stranger: The Movie is the first ever BL movie to be offered on a Valentine season by the Philippines’ biggest motion picture company.

In the film (this time helmed by Dwein Ruedas Baltazar) Xavier (Tony Labrusca) and Mico (JC Alcantara) or ‘XavMi’ take the virtual kilig into the real world, through a writing camp.

While they, along with extra push from their enabling friends, navigate their young and innocent love in a romantic beach resort, new characters will threaten their relationship with crazy shenanigans and quirky stunts.

Will this leave a dent in their love story or will ‘XavMi’ finally take this all the way to their happy ending?

Kaligtasan, isinasaalang-alang ng mga Filipino sa COVID-19 vaccine

Pangunahing isinasaalang-alang ng mga Filipino ang kaligtasan mula sa epektong dulot ng pagpapabakuna laban sa coronavirus disease.

Ito’y ayon sa huling pag-aaral na isinagawa ng Veritas Truth Survey sa may 1,200-respondents sa buong bansa sa pamamagitan ng text at online data gathering noong January 4-22.

Batay sa resulta ng V-T-S, 67-porsiyento ng mamamayan ang mas isinasaalang-alang ang safety o kaligtasan sa epekto ng COVID-19 vaccine sa katawan ng tao, 17-porsiyento naman sa efficacy o bisa ng bakuna, habang walong porsiyento ang nais munang malaman ang country of manufacture o bansa kung saan ginawa ang gamot.

Lumabas din sa pag-aaral na nais din munang malaman ng anim na porsiyento ng mamamayan ang pagpapatotoo ng mga naunang nabakunahan at dalawang porsiyento naman sa layunin ng paggamit nito.

Ayon kay Bro. Clifford Sorita, chief strategist ng VTS, kinakailangan muna ng pamahalaan na bigyan ng malinaw na impormasyon at paliwanag ang publiko upang makuha ang tiwala at maging matagumpay ang vaccination program laban sa COVID-19.

“To build trust and confidence in our vaccination efforts, government should provide the public with easily understandable scientifically based information and ensure everyone’s concerns are addressed easily and often,” ayon kay Sorita.

KAPWA kinumpirma nina Executiive Secretary Salvador Medialdea at Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque ang pagkakatalaga ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte kay dating Court of Appeals Justice Joseph Ilagan- Lopez bilang bagong Associate Justice ng Korte Suprema.

Sinabi ni Sec. Roque na pinirmahan ng Pangulo ang appointment paper ni Justice Lopez kahapon, Enero 25.

Inaasahan aniya ng Pangulo na paiiralin ni Justice Lopez ang judicial indpendence at rule of law at ipagpapatuloy nito ang reporma sa court processses ng bansa.

Si Justice Lopez aniya ay isang produkto ng UP College of Law, dating konsehal, dating City Fiscal ng Maynila bago pa siya italaga bilang Court of Appeals Justice.

Galvez, umapela sa publiko na pagkatiwalaan ang bakuna na bibilhin ng Pilipinas

UMAPELA si Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. sa publiko na pagkatiwalaan ang COVID-19 vaccines dahil ang bibilhin naman ng Pilipinas na bakuna ay ligtas at epektibo.

“Magtiwala po tayo na ang mga bakunang darating ay daraan sa stringent evaluation ng vaccine experts panel at ng FDA (Food and Drug Administration). Lahat po ng vaccine na makakapasa sa FDA, ina-assure po namin na safe ‘yan,” ayon kay Galvez.

“Mga 66 million na po ang nabakanuhan [sa buong mundo], 35 million po [gamit ang] Pfizer-BioNTech. Sa Chinese vaccine po na meron tayong agam-agam, 31 million naman na po ang nakatanggap ng Chinese vaccine, kasama na ang Sinovac na six million [ang tumanggap]. Maganda po ang resulta, safe po at ‘yung adverse effects ay manageable,” dagdag na pahayag nito.

Patuloy kasi ang pagdami ng mga filipino na ngdadalawang-isip na magpabakuna matapos na magpakita ang human trials ng Sinovac sa ibang bansa ng “inconsistent efficacy rates.”

Sa Turkey, nakapagtala ito ng 91% efficacy rate habang 65% at 50% efficacy rate naman sa mga bansang Indonesia at Brazil.

Gayunpaman, nagpalabas lamang ang FDA ng emergency use authorization (EUA) sa Pfizer-BioNTech matapos na matuklasan na ang bakuna ay mayroong efficacy rate na 95% at 92% sa study population sa lahat ng lahi.

Ang iba pang COVID-19 vaccine makers na may nakabinbing EUA applications sa FDA ay AstraZeneca ng UK at Oxford University , Gamaleya ng Russia, Sinovac ng China at Bharat BioTech ng India.

KUMBINSIDO si Cabinet Secretary Karlo Alexei Nograles na mas dapat na mabigyan ng pansin ang estado ng unemployment rate ng bansa kaysa sa hinihinging dagdag umento sa mga manggagawa.

Ayon kay CabSec Nograles na maraming nawalan ng trabaho dahil na din sa pandemya at may mga datos na magpapakitang na sadyang tumaas nga ang unemployment rate.

Kung nasa 4.6 percent lang aniya ang mga walang trabaho nuong 2019 ay halos pumalo naman sa doble ang porsiyento nito nuong isang taon na nasa 8.7 percent.
