2 binata timbog sa 3 kilong marijuana sa Caloocan

Dalawang hinihinalang drug pushers ang arestado matapos makuhanan ng higit sa P.3 milyon halaga ng pinatuyong dahon ng marijuana sa isinagawang buy bust operation ng pulisya sa Caloocan city, kamakalawa ng gabi.

Kinilala ang mga naarestong suspek na si Jerich Frane Hernadez, 19, at Lloyd Paloyo, 21, kapwa ng Brgy. Buting, Pasig City.

Ayon kay PCpl Elouiza Andrea Dizon, dakong 7 ng gabi nang magsagawa ang mga operatiba ng Northern Police District (NPD) District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) sa pangunguna ni PMAJ Jerry Garces sa ilalim ng pangangasiwa ni PLTCOL Macario Loteyro ng buy-bust operation kontra sa mga suspek sa loob ng Victory Mall Parking Lot sa Brgy. 72.

Nagawang makapagtransaksyon sa mga suspek ni PCpl Ferdinand Azis Dansal na nagpanggap na buyar ng P19,500 halaga ng marijuana.

Matapos tanggapin ng mga suspek ang marked money mula sa poseur-buyer kapalit ng droga ay agad silang dinamba ng mga operatiba.

Nakumpiska sa mga suspek ang tinatayang nasa tatlong kilong hinihinalang pinatuyong dahon ng marijuana with fruting tops na may standard drug price P360,000.00, buy bust money na binubuo ng isang P500 bill at 19 pirasong P1,000 boodle/money, asul na eco bag at cellphone.

Mahaharap ang mga suspek sa kasong paglabag sa RA 9165 o ang Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Richard Mesa)

Mga rail lines tigil operasyon ngayon mahal na araw

Ang tatlong rail lines sa Metro Manila ay pansamantalang wala munang operasyon ngayon mahal na araw upang magsagawa ng maintenance activities sa mga coaches at facilities ng mga railways.

Ayon sa Department of Transportation (DOTr), ang Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT3) ay sarado mula March 30 hangang April 4 at magbubukas ng operasyon sa April 5.

Ang Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT2) ay wala rin operasyon mula March 31 hangang April 4 at magkakaron ng regular na operasyon sa darating na April 5.

Sa March 29, ang unang commercial trip ng LRT 2 ay magsisimula ng 5 a.m. habang ang huling commercial trip sa araw na yon ay 9 p.m. mula Recto station at 8:30 p.m. mula naman sa Santonal station.

Samantala ang Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT 1) ay hindi rin magbubukas ng operasyon mula March 31 hanggang April 4 at babalik ang regular na operasyon sa March 5.

Simula March 29 hanggang March 30, ang LRT Line 1 ay magkakaron ng unang commercial trip ng 4:30 a.m. at ang huling commercial ay sa ganap na 10: p.m. na manggagaling sa Baclaran at mula sa Balintawak ay 10:15 ng gabi.

Habang ang Philippine National Railways (PNR) ay sarado mula April 2 hanggang April 3. Sa April 1 ay wala rin operasyon maliban sa Calamba-Tutuban trip.

Mayron naman ibang ruta sa April 4 ang PNR na magbubukas ng operasyon tulad ng Tutuban-Alabang, Tutuban-Calamba, Tutuban-Gov. Pascual, Gov. Pascual-Bicutan, at Naga-Sipocot.

Sa April 5 naman magsisimulang magkaron ng operasyon ang PNR sa mga dating ruta nito. (LASACMAR)

PSC, CHED kapit-kamay para sa collegiate sports

AAYUDAHAN ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) ang Commission on Higher Education (CHED) upang maiangat ang mga coach, sports official at collegiate athlete.

Kapopormalisa lang kamakailan ang isang Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) na nilagdaa nina PSC Chairman William ‘Butch’ Ramirez at CHED Chairperson J. Prospero De Vera III.

“We at PSC, are very happy with this historic MoA signing,” lahad ni Ramirez Miyerkoles. “CHED is your Kuya, and is important just like with our partnership with Philippine Olympic Committee (POC), National Sports Associations ( NSAs) and Local Government Units (LGUs). This is one missing link to the professional development of all in sports, and a lead to educational aspects and improvement of the community.”

Kumpiyansa naman si De Vera na responsibilidad ng bawat ahensya na makipagkaisa sa PSC para sa sports din ng mga ito nang umunlad pa ang larangang nabanggit sa bansa. (REC)

Marvel Reveals New ‘Black Widow’ Poster, Will Release In Theaters & Disney+ Streaming This July

DISNEY announced that once again the studio is pushing the theatrical release of Marvel’s Black Widow from May 7 to July 9, and also streaming on Disney+ with Premier Access on the same day.

Marvel Studios has also released a new poster for the film due to the newest playdate.

Black Widow was originally planned to come out on May 1, 2020, but has moved several times over the last year.

As the first film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase Four, Black Widow’s move has also caused Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings to shift to a September 3 release date.

Black Widow was originally going to be the beginning of Phase Four, but with a theatrical release uncertain, Marvel has begun this latest phase through several Disney+ series, including WandaVision, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, as well as the upcoming Loki, which will also premiere prior to Black Widow’s release.

Black Widow is a prequel set between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, and will feature Scarlett Johansson reprising her role as Natasha Romanoff, also known as Black Widow.

The Marvel film will also introduce David Harbour, Rachel Weisz and Florence Pugh (Little Women) as Yelena Belova into the MCU, and will feature another appearance by Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark.

Pugh is also reported to be taking over the mantle of Black Widow in the Disney+ series, Hawkeye, also scheduled for release later this year.

Prior to Black Widow, filmmaker Cate Shortland directed the films Berlin Syndrome and Lore, among other internationally acclaimed features. The films is written by Eric Pearson, who also co-wrote the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong.

Marvel has made it clear through Black Widow’s changing release date that this film is important to the films coming up in the MCU, ensuring that Johansson’s film is the first in this latest phase. (ROHN ROMULO)

‘The Flash’, Meets The ‘Justice Society of America’ After His Accidental Time Travel

AFTER streaming Zack Snyder’s Justice League on HBO Go, fans are now rooting for more DC films.

As we await their upcoming live-action films in a few months, we can also look forward to the new animated film Justice Society: World War II.

A new clip was released for the film, and it features the Flash bumping into Wonder Woman at the midst of World War II, seemingly after his accidental time travel with the Speed Force.

Justice Society: World War II finds modern-day Barry Allen – prior to the formation of the Justice League – discovering he can run even faster than he imagined, and that milestone results in his first encounter with the Speed Force.

The Flash is promptly launched into the midst of a raging battle – primarily between Nazis and a team of Golden Age DC Super Heroes known as The Justice Society of America. Led by Wonder Woman, the group includes Hourman, Black Canary, Hawkman, Steve Trevor and the Golden Age Flash, Jay Garrick.

The Flash quickly volunteers to assist his fellow heroes in tipping the scales of war in their favor, while the team tries to figure out how to send him home. But it won’t be easy as complications and emotions run deep in this time-skipping World War II thriller.

Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, DC and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, Justice Society: World War II stars Stana Katic as Wonder Woman, Matt Bomer as The Flash, Elysia Rotaru as Black Canary, Chris Diamantopoulos as Steve Trevor, Omid Abtahi as Hawkman, Matthew Mercer as Hourman, Armen Taylor as Jay Garrick, Liam McIntyre as Aquaman, Ashleigh LaThrop as Iris West, Geoffrey Arend as Charles Halstead/Advisor, Keith Ferguson as Dr. Fate and Darin De Paul as Franklin Roosevelt.

The film is directed by Jeff Wamester and will be released digitally on April 27 and on 4K UHD and Blu-ray on May 11.

Meanwhile, DC’s lineup of live-action films is also getting bigger with the new films that were confirmed during last year’s DC Fandome.

This includes The Suicide Squad 2 (Release Date: August 06, 2021), The Batman starring Robert Pattinson (Release Date: March 04, 2022), DC Super Pets (Release Date: May 20, 2022), The Flash (Release Date: November 04, 2022), Aquaman 2 (Release Date: December 16, 2022) and Shazam 2 (Release Date: June 02, 2023). 400,000 doses na 2nd batch ng Sinovac vaccines nasa Pinas na

Dumating na kahapon alas-7:16 ng umaga ang isa pang batch ng ilang daang libong doses ng COVID-19 vaccine na gawa ng Sinovac Biotech.

Lulan ang 400,000 doses ng Sinovac vaccines, dumating kanina sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 ang Boeing 777 ng Philippine Airlines (PAL) mula Beijing.

Ito na ang ikalawang batch ng donations mula sa Beijing, kasunod ng unang 600,000 doses na kanilang ibinigay sa Pilipinas noong Pebrero 28, na bahagi ng kanilang ipinangakong libreng 1 million doses ng bakuna.

Kaagad namang idiniretso sa mga storage facilities ng Department of Health ang mga dumating na bakuna mula China.

Sa ngayon, mayroon nang higit 1.5 million doses ng COVID-19 vaccines ang Pilipinas, kasama na ang dumating na 400,000 doses ng Sinovac vaccines at ang naunang 525,600 doses na AstraZeneca vaccines mula sa Covax Facility.

Sinabi ni vaccine czar Sec. Carlito Galvez Jr. na darating na rin sa Pilipinas sa Marso 29 ang 1 million doses ng Sinovac vaccine na binili naman ng pamahalaan gamit ang sariling pera nito.

Bukod dito, mayroon pang paparating na mga 979,200 doses mula naman sa COVAX facility mula Marso 24 hanggang 26.

Sinabi ni Galvez na aabot sa 140 million doses ng COVID-19 vaccines ang inaasahan nilang darating sa Pilipinas ngayong taon, hindi pa kasama ang alokasyon mula sa COVAX Facility.

Ito ay matapos na malagdaan na rin ang supply agreements mula sa Sinovac, AstraZeneva, Moderna at Novovax.

Nabatid na target ng pamahalaan na masimulan ang mass vaccination drive nito sa darating na Mayo pagkatapos na mabakunahan ang 1.7 million healthcare workers sa bansa.

Sa nakalipas na mahigit tatlong linggo nang simulan ang COVID-19 vaccination program sa bansa, tanging 336,656 pa lang ang nababakunahan.

Karamihan sa bilang na ito ay pawang mga healthcare workers at ilang mga national government at local officials na hindi sumunod sa priority leist.

Ang mababang vaccination rate ay sa kabila nang 98% o 1,105,600 mula sa 1,125,600 doses na ng AstraZeneca at Sinovac doses ang naipamahagi na sa 1,623 vaccination sites sa 17 rehiyon. (Daris Jose)

Hidilyn Diaz tanggap na walang manonood na kaibigan at kaanak sa Tokyo Olympics

Handang sumabak sa Tokyo Olympics si Filipina weight lifter Hidilyn Diaz kahit na walang manonood na mga kaibigan at kaanak.

Kasunod ito ng naging desisyon ng Olympic organizers na bawal muna manood ang personal ang mga nasa ibang bansa dahil sa banta pa rin ng COVID-19.

Sinabi ni Diaz na nalungkot siya sa desisyon ng organizers pero naiintindihan niya ito.

Marami aniya itong mga kaibigan na nais manood ng makasaysayang kabanata sa kaniyang buhay.

Target ngayon ni Diaz na ma-improve niya ang kaniyang performance noong Rio Olympics kung saan nakakuha ito ng silver medal.

Maisasapormal naman na nito ang pagsali sa Tokyo Olympics sa nakatakdang pagsabak nito sa Asian Weightlifting Championsip sa Tashkent, Uzbekistan sa darating na Abril 16 hangang 25.

78% ng isolation facilities sa NCR, okupado na

Okupado na ang nasa 78 porsyento ng mga isolation facilities sa National Capital Region (NCR) kabilang ang mga “quarantine hotels” at “temporary treatment facilities”.

Ito ang inihayag ni treatment czar at Health Undersecretary Leopoldo Vega kasabay ng panawagan niya na madagdagan na ang mga isolation facilities sa rehiyon.

“If we have 8,000 new COVID-19 cases and 4,000 are in NCR since 63% of cases are in NCR, with 97% of them mild and asymptomatic, we need an extra number of isolation facilities,” ayon kay Vega.

Dapat umano ito ang unahin dahil dito dinadala ang napakaraming mga “asymptomatic at mild cases” habang ang mga pagamutan naman ang “last line of defense” na pinagdadalhan ng mga “moderate at severe cases”.

Una nang sinabi ng OCTA Research Group na kulang ang dalawang linggo na itinakda para sa “NCR plus bubble” para tuluyang maampat ang pagtaas ng mga kaso ng COVID-19. Kasalukuyang nasa 2.1 na umano ang reproduction rate sa NCR at kailangang maibaba ito kahit sa 1.5 na lamang.

RURU at SHAIRA, ‘di pa iniisip na mag-settle down dahil marami pang gustong ma-achieve

KAHIT parehong may serious relationships sina Ruru Madrid at Shaira Diaz, hindi raw nila iniisip pa ang mag-settle down dahil marami pa raw silang gustong ma-achieve sa kanilang careers sa showbiz.

Nauso kasi ang ma-engage at magpakasal last year dahil sa pandemic. Ilang celebrities ang ginawa ito ng palihim at meron namang proud sa pag-share sa social media.

Para kay Shaira, na eight years na ang relasyon sa aktor na si Edgar Allan Guzman, importante sa kanya at sa pamilya niya ang sagradong kasal.

“Yung marriage sobrang sacred. Sobrang inu-honor ko ito at madami akong goal bago ako pumasok sa ganun. Gusto ko siguradong-sigurado ako and ayoko ‘yung pabigla-bigla.”

Magdadalawang taon pa lang ang relasyon nila Ruru at Bianca Umali kaya hindi pa nila iniisip ang magpakasal dahil pareho silang may goal sa kanilang showbiz careers.

“Like ako, napaka goal-oriented ko na tao, napakarami ko pang gustong ma-achieve sa life, napakarami ko pang gustong matulungan sa buhay.”

MARAMING natuwa sa balitang buntis na si Beth Tamayo after itong ikasal sa kanyang American fiance na si Adam Hutchinson noong nakaraang March 4.

Sa tulong ng IVF or In Vitro Fertilization, mae-experience na ni Beth ang mabuntis sa edad na 43. Ang due date niya ay sa September 2021.

Pinost ni Beth ang photo ng sonogram niya sa social media.

INAKUSAHAN ng isang babae ang Hollywood actor na si Armie Hammer ng mental, emotional, and sexual abuse.

Ayon sa babae na nagngangalang Effie, nagkaroon sila ng 4 year relationship ng aktor. Pero naging bayolente raw ito at inakala ni Effie na papatayin siya ng aktor.

Kuwento niya sa Variety: “I thought he was going to kill me. On April 24, 2017, Armie Hammer violently raped me for over four hours in Los Angeles. During which he repeatedly slapped my head against a wall bruising my face. He also committed other acts of violence against me to which I did not consent.”

Dagdag pa ni Effie, binugbog daw ng aktor ang mga binti’t paa niya para raw hindi ito makatakas.

“He would beat my feet during the rape, so they would hurt when I walk. He wouldn’t let meget away.”

Pinabulaanan ni Hammer ang bintang na rape sa kanya ni Effie. Ayon sa kanyang lawyer na si Andrew Brettler, of Lavely & Singer: “From day one, Mr. Hammer has maintained that all of his interactions with [Effie] — and every other sexual partner of his for that matter — have been completely consensual, discussed and agreed upon in advance, and mutually participatory.”

Sa Facebook daw nagkakilala sina Effie at Armie. Noong magkaroon sila ng relasyon, ginamitan daw ng aktor si Effie ng clear manipulation tactics.

“He would often test my devotion to him. He abused me mentally, emotionally, and sexually.”

Iniimbestigahan ng Los Angeles Police Department ang kasong sinampa ni Effie kay Hammer. Bukod kay Effie, may isa pa raw babaeng nag-file ng sexual assault case sa aktor.
