MAGSASAGAWA si Pangulong  Ferdinand Marcos Jr.  ng malawakang balasahan sa  Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) kasunod ng pagbibitiw sa tungkulin ng mga  key officials nito dahil sa kontrobersiyal na sugar import resolution.

 

 

Sinabi ni Pangulong Marcos, pinuno ng  Department of Agriculture, na ang nakaambang na  reorganisasyon sa ahensiya, may layong i-promote ang paglago ng sugar industry ng bansa ay maaaring matapos ngayong linggo.

 

 

Layon din ng nasabing hakbang na malaman kung Ilan ang suplay ng asukal sa bansa at kung kinakailangan pa na mag-angkat nito sa panahon ngayon.

WHO kinumpirma ang unang kaso ng ‘human-to-animal monkeypox transmission’

PINAYUHAN  ng World Health Organization (WHO) ang mga dinapuan ng monkeypox na iwasang ma-expose sa mga hayop.

 

 

Kasunod ito sa napaulat ng pagkakahawa ng isang aso ng madapuan ng monkeypox ang amo nito sa Paris.

 

 

Ayon kay WHO technical lead for monkeypox Rosamund Lewis na ang unang kaso ng human-to-animal transmission ay siyang kauna-unahang insidente ng pagkakahawa.

 

 

Mula noon pa man ay ipinapayo ng WHO na ang mga nagpositibo sa monkeypox virus ay dapat naka-isolate.

 

 

Paglilinaw naman nito na malayong makahawa naman ang nasabing virus sa mga hayop NA nakatira sa labas ng isang bahay.

PAG-AARALAN ni Pangulong  Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang pangangailangan na bumili ng bagong uri ng  coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccines laban sa  Omicron coronavirus subvariants.

 

 

Ang pahayag na ito ni Pangulong Marcos ay dahil na rin sa ulat na nananatili pa ring problema ang presensiya ng  Omicron subvariants na kailangan na tugunan.

 

 

Sa idinaos na “PinasLakas” vaccine campaign sa SM City Manila, sinabi ni Pangulong Marcos na sinabi sa kanya ni Department of Health (DOH) Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire ang tungkol sa bagong klase ng  Covid-19 vaccines laban sa Omicron.

 

 

“Now, I was just told by Usec. Vergerie, mukha namang merong ilalabas na vaccine para dito sa mga bagong variant ng Omicron. Kaya’t pagaaralan natin  and if it’s going to be helpful,” ayon kay Pangulong Marcos.

 

 

Giit ng Chief Executive na gagawin ng kanyang administrasyon ang lahat ng makakaya nito para matiyak ang kaligtasan ng mga Filipino mula sa Covid-19.

 

 

“Gagawin natin ang lahat para madala dito sa Pilipinas para mabigay natin sa lahat ng kailangang magkaroon ng booster shot,” aniya pa rin.

 

 

Samantala, mahalaga ani Pangulong  Marcos na tumanggap ng booster shot upang napanatili ang lahat na “fully immunized” laban sa Covid-19 at subvariant nito kabilang na ang Omicron.

 

 

“So, that is why it is very important and it’s very clear the benefits of having a booster shot now to combat the problem with the new variants of Omicron,” aniya pa rin. (Daris Jose)

De Lima binanatan ‘wasak’ na katarungan sa bansa sa ika-2,000 araw sa selda

UMABOT  na sa 2,000 araw sa pagkakabilanggo si dating Sen. Leila de Lima matapos arestuhin sa patung-patong na drug charges sa kabila ng pagbaliktad ng mga tumestigo laban sa kanya — dahilan para tawagin niyang “broken” ang sistema ng katarungan sa Pilipinas.

 

 

Kilalang kritiko ng extrajudicial killings at human rights violations sa ilalim ng madugong gera kontra-droga ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, sari-saring grupo’t indibidwal na ang nananawagang mapalaya ang dating chairperson ng Commission on Human Rights (CHR).

 

 

“Today marks the 2000th day of my unjust detention. My continued detention on the basis of evidently and utterly false cases is yet another reminder to the world that the justice system in our country is broken,” wika niya, Martes.

Mayo 2022 lang nang manawagan ang anim na senador mula sa Estados Unidos (mula sa magkaribal na Democratic at Republican parties) para palayain si De Lima sa dahilang bumaliktad ang maraming tumestigo sa kanya.

 

 

Pebrero 2019 pa nang manawagan ang United Nations Human Rights Council sa dating administrasyong Duterte na palayain na si De Lima.

 

 

Bagama’t dinismiss kamakailan ng Ombudsman ang reklamong panunuhol laban kay De Lima, nagmamagtigas ang Department of Justice na hindi nila babawiin ang drug charges laban sa dating senadora. Aniya, korte na raw ang dapat magdesisyon sa kaso. (Daris Jose)

‘State of public health emergency, ‘di pa aalisin hanggang sa katapusan ng 2022’

PAPALAWIGIN pa ang umiiral na state of public health emergency sa Pilipinas na inisyal na idineklara dahil sa COVID-19 outbreak hanggang sa katapusan ng taong 2022.

 

 

Sa isinagawang vaccination campaign ng Department of Health na dinaluhan ng Pangulong Bongbong Marcos sa lungsod ng Maynila, sinabi ng Pangulo na kung ititigil ang state of emergency, matitigil din ang mga assistance na ibinibigay mual sa international medical community kabilang na ang World Health Organization.

 

 

Kung kaya’t tinitignan aniya na amyendahan ang batas pagdating sa procurement sa ilalim ng state of emergency na matatagalan pa kayat malamang papalawigin pa ito hanggang sa katapusan ng kasalukuyang taon.

 

 

Una ng idineklara ang public health emergency ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte noong March 8, 2020 upang matugunan ang banta dulot ng covid-19 sa pamamagitan ng mandatory na pag-ulat sa bagong cases, pagpapaigting ng government response, pagpapatupad ng quarantine at disease control measures.
