Nasita sa helmet, rider buking sa droga sa Valenzuela

KALABOSO ang 42-anyos na factory worker matapos mabisto ang dalang shabu makaraang masita ng mga pulis dahil walang suot na helmet habang sakay ng isang motorsiklo sa Valenzuela City.

Nahaharap sa kasong paglabag sa Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), RA 10054 (Motorcycle Helmet law of 2009), Section 19 at 15 of RA 4136 (Failure to carry Driver’s License and OR/CR) ang naarestong suspek na si alyas “Jerome”, ng N. De Galicia Street, Brgy. Maysan.

Sa report ni SDEU investigator PSSg Carlito Nerit Jr kay Valenzuela police chief P/Col. Salvador Destura Jr., habang nagsasagawa ng Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO) ang mga tauhan ng Police Sub-Station 9 sa pangunguna ni P/Cpt., Ritchie Garcia sa Sabino Alley, Brgy. Maysan nang parahin nila ang suspek dahil walang suot na helmet habang sakay ng isang motorsiklo dakong alas-11:55 ng gabi.

Hinanapan ng mga pulis ang suspek ng driver’s license at nang kunin niya at buksan ang kanyang coin purse ay nakita ni PCpl Noreen Muldong ang dalawang plastic sachets na naglalaman ng hinihinalang shabu.

Kaagad siyang inaresto ng mga pulis saka kinumpiska sa kanyang na nasabing droga na nagkakahalaga ng P4,760 at nadiskubre din ng pulisya na walang driver’s license ang suspek at certificate of registration sa minamaneho niyang motorsiklo kaya binitbit siya sa selda. (Richard Mesa)

Recto, nanumpa na bilang Kalihim ng DoF

OPISYAL nang nanumpa sa harap ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., si House Deputy Speaker Ralph Recto bilang Kalihim ng Department of Finance (DoF).

Si Pangulong Marcos ang nangasiwa ng oath of office ni Recto sa isang seremonya sa Palasyo ng Malakanyang, araw ng Biyernes, Enero 11.

Dahil dito, opisyal nang kasama si Recto sa mga tao ng administrasyong Marcos.

Nauna rito, mismong si Communications Secretary Cheloy Garafil ang nagkumpirma sa pamamagitan ng text message ang magaganap na panunumpa ni Recto para sa kanyang bagong tungkulin, ngayong araw ng Biyernes, Enero 11 sa harap ni Pangulong Marcos sa Palasyo ng Malakanyang.

Kinumpirma rin ni dating Batangas Rep. Vilma Santos-Recto ang bagong posisyon ng kanyang asawa.

Samantala, nanumpa rin sa kanyang tungkulin si Frederick Go bilang Kalihim ng Office of the Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs (OSAPIEA).

Layon ng bagong tanggapan na tiyakin ang epektibong integrasyon, koordinasyon at implementasyon ng iba’t ibang government investment at economic policies.

SYDNEY Sweeney and Glen Powell play romantic nemeses pretending to be a couple in the romantic comedy Anyone But You.

For director Will Gluck, Anyone But You was a chance to make a romantic comedy that was as funny as any in recent memory. “Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell are simply two of the funniest people I’ve ever worked with,” says Gluck. “You put them on the big screen together, and magic happens.”
In Anyone But You, Sweeney (Euphoria) and Powell (Top Gun: Maverick) play romantic enemies Bea and Ben, respectively, who have to put aside their personal vendettas and pretend to be a head-over-heels couple in order to keep the peace at Bea’s sister’s wedding.

“As much as Bea hates Ben, and vice versa, it’s important to Bea not to wreck her sister’s wedding. So, she hatches her plan: these two people who actually hate each other will pretend to like each other,” says Sweeney.

“But as she and Ben are drawn together, they start to actually love each other, but can’t admit it to themselves.”

Of course, it’s not long before they get in over their heads.

“Sometimes, I wonder if Will was just rubbing his hands together, thinking about all of the messed-up situations and crazy stuff he could make Glen and me do,” Sweeney continues.

“On the other hand, it was all incredibly funny. So we did it. You’re welcome, Will.”

“I am really excited for the world to see Sydney in this movie,” says Powell.

“She’s obviously proven herself to be a powerhouse dramatic actress, but being the female lead in a romantic comedy is not an easy task. You are the audience surrogate so the world has to really root for you to fall in love.

“There is something vulnerable and honest about Sydney that makes this movie come to life. Without that current of humanity running through this genre, it would fall flat. But this movie sings (literally and figuratively) because Sydney can stand in front of a camera and offer up her heart in a way that feels heroic.”

Sweeney has nothing but great things to say about her costar as well.

“Glen is handsome, charming, funny, talented, and thoughtful. He’s also an incredibly loyal friend and a true pro,” says the actress.

“That’s everything you could possibly ask for from an acting partner playing your fake boyfriend.”

Sweeney, who is also the film’s executive producer, gives credit to the movie’s writers for making it relatable for audiences.

“You see it all the time – people are so afraid of being vulnerable, of opening themselves up to another person, that they sabotage the best relationships they’ve ever had,” says Sweeney.

“Bea and Ben have a connection that is so real, deep, and immediate that they are going to do everything they can to deny it – until they can’t anymore.”

About Anyone But You

In the edgy comedy Anyone But You, Bea (Sydney Sweeney) and Ben (Glen Powell) look like the perfect couple, but after an amazing first date something happens that turns their fiery hot attraction ice cold – until they find themselves unexpectedly thrust together at a destination wedding in Australia. So they do what any two mature adults would do: pretend to be a couple.

Harassment ng Tsina sa Pinas, concern sa Europa- German FM Baerbock

SINABI ni German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock na itinuturing ng Europa na isang malaking “concern” ang mapanganib na pagmamaniobra ng Tsina sa Philippine vessels sa South China Sea.

Para kay Baerbock, ang ginawa ng Tsina ay malinaw na paglabag sa international laws at balakid sa freedom of navigation.

“I think we all agree that the world doesn’t need another crisis,” ani Baerbock.

“There are rough winds blowing across the South China Sea, and this is happening in the middle of one of most dynamic economic regions of the world,” aniya pa rin.

Ang insidente aniya sa mga nakalipas na buwan kung saan ginamitan ng Chinese Coast Guard ng lasers at water cannons ang Philippine resupply vessels at collision incidents ay “of concern for us in Europe even though we are thousands of kilometers away.”

“Such risky maneuvers violate the rights opportunities for economic development of your own country and other littoral states as well,” aniya pa rin sabay sabing ang naging aksyon ng Tsina ay “call into question the freedom of navigation that is enshrined in international law.”

Kasalukuyang nasa bansa si Baerbockis para sa official visit kung saan nakapulong nito sina Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., at ang kanyang counterpart na si Foreign Affairs Enrique Manalo sa Palasyo ng Malakanyang.

Ang naging pagbisita ni Baerbockis ay marka ng unang pagbisita ng German Federal Foreign Minister to the Philippines sa nakalipas na dekada.

Samantala, mahalagang tinalakay naman nina Pangulong Marcos, Baerbockis at Manalo ang “political at economic relations, na nakatuon sa peace initiatives at development cooperation ng Germany sa Pilipinas at ang commitment ng dalawang bansa sa rules-based international order sa gitna ng tumataas na tensiyon sa South China Sea. IPINAGMALAKI na inulat ni Pang. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na tuluyan ng nakabangon ang Pilipinas mula sa epekto ng Covid 19 pandemic at maging sa epekto ng Russia-Ukraine war at tensiyon sa Middle East.

Ginawa ng Pangulo ang pahayag sa pagharap nito sa mga miyembro ng diplomatic corps sa isinagawang taunang “Vin D Honneur” (van do ner) sa Palasyo ng Malakanyang.

Binigyang diin ng chief executive na back in business na ang bansa sa gitna nh gumagadang lagay ng ekonomiya at ang pagpapabilis sa paggamit ng pondo ng gobyerno.

“These, we hope to address in support of various partners and stakeholders. I continue to enjoin the diplomatic corps to work closely with us in identifying areas where we can pursue joint and collective endeavors and initiatives. It is with confidence that I announce that the Philippines has… I could say [has] gotten back [on] its feet from the reeling effect of the pandemic and the subsequent shocks that we have suffered from the Ukraine war and now from the conflict in the Middle East,” pahayag ni Pang. Binigyang diin ng Presidente na may mga hakbang na ipinatutupad ang gobyerno para ma kontrol ang inflation.

Patunay dito ang naitalang 3.9% inflation na naitala nitong buwan ng Disyembre.

Bumaba rin ang employment rate nuong buwan ng Nobyembre na nasa 3.6%.

Ayon sa Pangulo ang Pilipinas ay mapapabilang sa fastest growing economy da Asya.

HIMAS-REHAS ang 35-anyos na binata na wanted sa kaso ng pangmomolestiya sa isang menor-de-edad matapos masakote ng pulisya sa ikinasang manhunt operation sa Valenzuela City, kamakalawa ng hapon.

Kinilala ni Valenzuela police chief P/Col. Salvador Destura Jr., ang naarestong akusado na si alyas “Jaypee”, 35 ng Brgy. Ugong at nakatala bilang top 9 most wanted person sa Valenzuela City.

Sa kanyang report kay Northern Police District (NPD) Director P/BGen. Rizalito Gapas, sinabi ni Col. Destura na nakatanggap ng impormasyon ang mga operatiba ng Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) na muling naispatan ang presensya ng akusado sa kanilang lugar matapos itong magtago makaraang sampahan ng kasong pangmomolestiya sa isang menor-de-edad.

Bumuo ng team ang WSS sa pangunguna P/Lt. Ronald Bautista, kasama ang NDIT-RIU NCR saka nagsagawa ng intensified manhunt operation kontra wanted persons na nagresulta sa pagkakadakip sa akusado dakong alas-12:35 ng hapon sa Lamesa Street, Barangay Ugong.

Ani Lt. Bautista, inaresto nila ang akusado sa bisa ng warrant of arrest na inisyu ni Presiding Judge Evangeline Mendoza-Francisco ng Regional Trial Court, Branch 270, Valenzuela City noong August 24, 2023, para sa kasong Acts of Lasciviousness under Art. 336 of the RPC in rel. to Sec. 5 (b) of R.A. 7610 as amended by R.A. 11648.

Pinuri naman ni Gen. Gapas ang Valenzuela police sa kanilang pagsisikap para tugisin ang mga taong nagkasala na pinaghahanap ng batas na nagresulta sa pagkakaaresto sa akusado na pansamangtalang nakapiit sa Custodial Facility Unit ng Valenzuela CPS habang hinihintay pagpapalabas ng commitment order mula sa korte. ISANG lalaki na nakatala bilang top 3 most wanted person sa Northern Police District (NPD) ang nalambat ng pulisya sa isinagawang manhunt operation sa Caloocan City, kamakalawa ng gabi.

Kinilala ni Caloocan police chief P/Col. Ruben Lacuesta ang naarestong akusado na si alyas “Kalbo”, 39 ng Brgy., 176, Bagong Silang ng lungsod.

Sa kanyang ulat kay NPD Director P/BGen. Rizalito Gapas, sinabi ni Col. Lavuesta na nakatanggap ng impormasyon ang mga operatiba ng Station Intillegence Section (SIS) ng Caloocan police na naispatan ang presensya ng akusado sa Brgy., 180 ng lungsod.

Bumuo ng team ang SIS sa pangunguna ni P/Maj. John David Chua, kasama ang Police Sub-Station 15 sa pangunguna ni P/Cpt. Gomer Mappala sa koordinasyon kay IDMS chief P/Maj. Jansen Ohrelle Tiglao saka nagkasa ang mga ito ng manhunt operation kontra wanted persons na nagresulta sa pagkakaaresto sa akusado dakong alas-11:00 ng gabi sa Manggahan, Barangay 180.

Ani Maj. Chua, ang akusado ay inaresto nila sa bisa ng warrant of arrest na inisyu ni Caloocan City Regional Trial Court Branch 129 Judge Rose Sharon Santiago Cordero-Abila noong December 19, 2023, para sa kasong Murder.

INAMIN ni Laurice Guillen na si Jasmine Curtis-Smith ang madalas na maraming takes sa kanilang serye na ‘Asawa Ng Asawa Ko.’

Kuwento ng award-winning director: “Si Jasmine, maraming takes. Marami akong pinapagalitan, actually it’s more of like keeping her on track because she’s playing a role that’s been through a really extraordinary experience as suffering.

“So, I have to keep her always at this point of the story, dito ka. You know, and then that, you know, less of Jasmine.”

Thankful naman si Jasmine sa paggabay ni Direk Laurice sa kanya para mas maging effective ang pagganap niya sa kanyang karakter.

“You really have to be open, but she’s very specific sa mga direksyon niya at sa mga gusto niyang makuha especially sa character kong si Cristy because napakalalim na po ng pinagdaanan ng character ko.

NAGING usap-usapan ng netizens ang ginawang pag-unfollow ni Kathryn Bernardo kanyang ex-boyfriend na si Daniel Padilla sa Instagram.

Tila nagbigay na ng hudyat si Kath na imposible na silang magkabalikan pa ni DJ, na balitang muling nanunuyo sa babaing minahal nang lubusan.

Napanood nga sa video sa kasal nina Robi Domingo at Maiqui Pineda nang ihatid ni Daniel si Kathryn sa kotse kung saan sumakay sina Kathryn, Mr. Carlo Katigbak at Cory Vidanes.

Marami naman ang kinilig sa naturang video dahil kahit naghiwalay na ang dalawa, ay nagpakita pa rin ang binatang aktor ng malasakit sa Kapamilya actress.
