PBBM, ginarantiya ang trabaho para sa lahat

Posted on: February 9th, 2024 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

“This positive momentum is attributed to robust growth across all major industry groups, with construction, agriculture, and services leading the way,” ang tinuran pa ng Pangulo.

Dahil dito, nangako ang Pangulo na committed ang gobyerno na “to fostering a conducive and enabling environment for employment growth.”

“We will continue to implement both demand- and supply-side interventions, including pro-investment reforms and strategic partnerships, to attract more investments,” ang pahayag ng Punong Ehekutibo.

“The enactment of initiatives such as the Public-Private Partnership Code and the 4PH Housing Program will further stimulate economic activity and create more job opportunities,” dagdag na pahayag nito.

Posted on: February 9th, 2024 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

”I continually stress the urgency of improving water security and directed agencies concerned to expedite the completion of all water projects across the country,” ang bahagi ng talumpati ni Pangulong Marcos.

Aniya pa, ang pagkakaputol ng water supply ”degrades quality of life and dampens economic activity.”

”It is, however, preventable – with foresight, right plans, united action, and strong political will,” ayon sa Chief Executive.

”Anticipating problems instead of letting them catch us by surprise is how we approach these challenges in the Bagong Pilipinas. We prepare for contingencies, solve problems, and defuse potential crises before they occur,” dagdag na wika nito.

Sa kabilang dako, ang unang event ay dinaluhan ng iba’t ibang opisyal ng pamahalaan kabilang na sina Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Ma. Antonia “Toni” Yulo-Loyzaga, Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Secretary Antonio Lagdameo at Presidential Communications Secretarry Cheloy Garafil, at Iba pa.

(Daris Jose)

“If there is one thing na-instill ni Tito Deo sa akin is you have to work hard. Walang nakukuha overnight. Whatever success, whatever fame, you have to work hard for it.”

“Tito Deo was always like a mentor to me when I started out in ABS in the 90s. He was one of the guys planning what shows I am going to do, what roles to accept. He was already planning for like The Hunks, ASAP, with my shows as well.

“When you talk to him, no matter what you do, if you say yes to him — hind ka niya papabayaan. Yun maganda kay Tito Deo. Even with Dreamscape, kahit ayaw mo gumawa ng TV, pag siya nag-pitch, rest assured maganda proyekto mo. He has always looked out for me like the rest of everyone here.

Ayon sa report ng Korea JoongAng Daily: “The 79-year-old actor was indicted in November 2022, when a former theater group member claimed that in 2017, Oh Young-soo groped and kissed her while they were outside. The prosecutors claimed Oh “expressed his desire for youth in an inappropriate way” while he and the victim were drinking together in 2017.”

Posted on: February 9th, 2024 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

Given na yung grateful, given na ‘yung happy and excited, pero more of relieved talaga ‘yung pinaka nararamdaman ko at this moment.

“Dadating talaga sa point na iku-question mo in a way na parang ‘gusto pa ba nila ako? Ire-renew pa ba ako ng GMA?’”

“’Pag naghihintay ka and of course hangga’t walang signing, walang kontrata, may times na natatanong mo yun, naku-question mo yun so kinakabahan ka rin at some point.”

“To me, napaka-judgmental po nun.

“Yes, you and I have the right to comment. Yes, we have the freedom of speech. Pero ako I appeal for kindness. What do we really know about this relationship? Do we know the nuances? Alam ba talaga natin ang detalye? Huwag naman.

“The narrative is not about si Bea ang problema kaya sila naghiwalay. Bea wants this to work,” saad pa ni Tito Boy.

‘Walang pera. Hindi mayaman. Hindi sikat. Hindi karapat-dapat kay Bea.’ Cruel,” lahad pa ni Tito Boy.

“You have the right to comment, you have the right to share your opinion. Pero sana’y let’s exercise prudence, caution and most important of all, kindness.”

From my sources, sigurado ako, ‘pag nagkaayos sina Bea at Dominic, no wedding is going to happen this year,” wika pa ni Tito Boy.

ACADEMY AWARD NOMINEE KERRY CONDON COMBINES HER LOVE OF CINEMA AND WATER IN THE SUPERNATURAL THRILLER “NIGHT SWIM”

Posted on: February 9th, 2024 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

ONE of the reasons Kerry Condon wanted to dive into Night Swim was the water.

“I was always interested in doing swimming on-camera and combining those two great interests for me,” Condon, an accomplished swimmer who swam competitively as a child, says. “I am a good swimmer and I wanted to show my physicality. I love water in movies and I think filming in water is beautiful, so I wanted to be a part of that and learn more about it.”

Another major reason was the genre. “I thought this was a great opportunity for me that I’d never done a horror movie before, and I’ve always wanted a career that would allow me to be a character actress in every kind of genre,” shares Condon, who was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for her role in the comedy The Banshees of Inisherin. Condon was also a recurring character in the critically acclaimed drama Better Call Saul (a Breaking Bad spinoff).

In Night Swim, based on McGuire’s acclaimed 2014 short film of the same name, Ray Waller (Wyatt Russell) is a former major league baseball player forced into early retirement by a degenerative illness. Secretly hoping, against the odds, to return to pro ball, Ray persuades his wife, Eve (Condon), that their new home’s shimmering backyard swimming pool will be fun for the kids (Amélie Hoeferle and Gavin Warren) and provide physical therapy for him. But a dark secret in the home’s past will unleash a malevolent force that will drag the family under, into the depths of inescapable terror.

Watch the trailer: https://youtu.be/hgnUYV330cA?si=I447yv_uA3Bt25du

“On the day I met Kerry, she had been nominated for a Golden Globe for Banshees of Inisherin and swam a mile in the ocean that morning – not a bad day,” director Bryce McGuire says. “She had to do some really demanding underwater work, especially late in the movie, that most people simply would not have been able to do. She’s an extremely tough and physical actor. Something special happens with Kerry every time the camera rolls. She really pushed me and the material, and she’s fantastic in the movie.”

Condon enjoyed working with McGuire as well. “Bryce knew a lot about the genre and that was important to me because I hadn’t done something like this before,” she says. “He had a lot of references and wanted it to be character-based, which appealed to me. A lot was riding on Bryce, and he gave it everything. He was also always open to collaboration, which was great. I have worked with directors in the past that didn’t want to listen to other suggestions, but I believe that the best idea should win, doesn’t matter who gave it and Bryce felt the same.”

Posted on: February 9th, 2024 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

“Many violations have been committed by officials of the DOTr, LTFRB, OTC and the solicitor general is also included. We were abused and our rights have been violated which deprived us from our livelihood,” wika ni Manibela chairman Mar Valbuena.

“We assure the general public that in implementing the PUV Modernization Program, DOTr and its attached agencies endeavor to strictly comply with pertinent provisions of the 1987 Constitution, as well as relevant laws and jurisprudence,” saad ni Bautista.

“As legal counsel of the government, the OSG acted in accordance with its lawful mandate,” dagdag ni Guevarra.

LASACMAR

− The summit will catalyze commitment, policy advocacy guidelines and collective action towards transforming medicines accessibility across the region, ensuring that no one is left behind.

MANILA, Philippines, February 6, 2024 – In a world where 30% of the global population lacks regular access to essential medicines, the need for change is urgent.[i] Nowhere is this challenge more pronounced than in Southeast Asia, where individuals grapple with untreated illnesses due to limited access to medical care. It’s a stark reality that cannot be ignored. Imagine the power of government agencies, pharmaceutical companies, healthcare providers, researchers, NGOs, and patient advocacy groups coming together, united by a common goal: to improve the lives of millions by making essential medicines accessible to all. This holistic and inclusive approach is the key to transforming the landscape of healthcare in Southeast Asia. The Access to Medicines Summit 2024, held on February 6 and 7, 2024, at the Diamond Hotel Manila, Philippines, showcased a groundbreaking display of unity and determination for this cause. With the theme “Building Bridges. A Blueprint for Collaborative and Innovative Access to Medicines” this summit brought together the like-minded stakeholders and practices from across Southeast Asia to tackle the pressing issue of equitable access to medicines.

The summit focused on four key objectives. Firstly, it highlighted successful efforts of organizations in improving access to medicines, serving as examples for others to learn from. Secondly, it fostered collaboration opportunities, promoting collective impact in enhancing access to medicines. Thirdly, it initiated the development of a roadmap for stronger access to medicines through collaborative health innovations. Lastly, it advocated for policy changes and reforms to promote unbiased access to medicines across the region.

The Access to Medicines Summit 2024 witnessed the participation of more than 100 key stakeholders from the Philippines Department of Health, local government units, academia, healthcare industry, patient support groups, financial institutions, and medical societies. The summit also featured 32 influential speakers from various sectors and countries such as Malaysia and Vietnam, who shared their expertise and commitment to shaping thoughts and driving change across Southeast Asia.

Organized by Takeda Healthcare Philippines Inc. and RiseAboveNow Business Consulting Group, the summit commenced with a powerful keynote address from Dr. Teodoro J. Herbosa, Secretary of the Department of Health, Philippines. His recorded message resonated with urgency, setting the tone for the summit’s discussions and initiatives.

“I challenge us to formulate more transformative interventions that will provide better access to medicines especially (to) the vulnerable and poorest population. Utilize this summit to discuss and ask the hard questions,” he said.

“Today’s activities contribute to the ultimate fulfilment of Universal Healthcare where health equity is one of its guiding principles. Let’s continue to forge ahead with determination, innovation and compassion ensuring that no one is left behind in our pursuit for a healthier, more equitable society,” declared Health Secretary Dr. Teodoro J. This not only improves people’s lives but is also essential to long- term sustainable business growth.”

The final session of the day showcased research and development programs, demonstrating commitment to address unmet medical needs and access to innovative therapies. Participants engaged in discussions, strategizing ways to fortify healthcare infrastructure, establish sustainable supply chains, and strengthen healthcare systems in resource-limited settings.
