JENNYLYN, proud na proud sa ipinakita ang 26 weeks na baby bump

NASA ika-26th week na nang kanyang pagbubuntis si Jennylyn Mercado kaya pinagmalaki nito ang kanyang baby bump sa social media.

Dahil pa-third trimester na si Jen, wala na raw itong cravings at puwede na siyang kumilos dahil matibay na ang kapit ng kanilang magiging baby girl ng mister na si Dennis Trillo.

Nagpapasalamat si Jen na kahit nagkasakit sila ni Dennis, hindi naapektuhan ang kanilang baby. Wala na rin daw sakit ang mga kasama nila sa bahay kaya nakakagalaw na ng maayos si Jen.

Kapansin-pansin na glowing si Jen sa pagbubuntis niya. Hindi lang daw dahil girl ang pinagbubuntis niya, kundi hindi siya nakakaranas ng stress at happy ang pregnancy niya.

Paano naman, asikasong-asikaso siya ni Dennis parati. Hindi nga raw muna tumatanggap ng projects si Dennis for TV and movies dahil gusto niyang personal na mabantayan si Jen hanggang sa ipanganak nito ang kanilang baby girl.

PINAG-ISA na ni Rocco Nacino ang pag-celebrate ng wedding anniversary nila ng misis niyang si Melissa Gohing at ang nalalapit na Valentine’s Day.

Noong nakaraang January 21 ang first wedding anniversary nila Rocco at Melissa. Pero hindi raw sila nakapag-celebrate dahil nagkaroon ng surge ng Omicron variant kaya nasa bahay lang sila.

Kaya sa isang exclusive beach resort sa Batangas dinala ni Rocco si Melissa kasama ang kanilang tatlong fur babies para sa isang relaxing Valentine/Anniversary vacation week.

Sa kanyang Instagram, pinost ni Rocco ang video ng kanilang pagbiyahe hanggang sa makarating sila sa naturang resort. Special ang suite nila dahil pinalagyan pa ito ng aktor ng kanilang mga photos at lahat ng kailangan para sa double celebration nila.

Bago sila nagtungo sa resort, sinigurado ni Rocco na negative sila ni Melissa sa COVID-19.

NA-ANNOUNCE na ang official nominees para sa 94th Academy Awards or the Oscars sa pamamagitan ng kanilang YouTube channel.

Nanguna sa pinakamaraming nominations ay ang dark western film na The Power of the Dog with 12 nominations. Sunod naman with 10 nominations ay ang science-fiction epic na Dune.

Ang iba pang makakalaban nila for Best Picture ay Belfast, CODA, Don’t Look Up, Drive My Car, King Richard , Licorice Pizza, Nightmare Alley at West Side Story.

Ang live ceremony ng Oscar Awards ay sa March 27 sa Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.

17-M tickets ni-request ng mga fans para sa FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022

UMAABOT sa kabuuang 17 million na mga tickets ang hiniling umano ng mga football fans mula ng buksan ang bentahan ng tickets para sa nalalapit na FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Sinasabing inabot lamang ng 20 araw ang sales period na nagtapos ngayon kung saan ang pinakamaraming mga request ay nagmula sa host country na Qatar.

Mabentang mabenta rin ang mga tickets mula sa mga bansang Argentina, Brazil, England, France, India, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, UAE at Amerika.

Ang may pinakamarami umanong demand sa tickets ay ang Dec. 18 sa Lusali Stadium na umabot sa 1.8 million requests na siya namang nakatakda ang final competition.

Sa darating na March 8, 2022 malalaman ang kumpirmasyon sa mga tickets request kung pagbibigyan ang mga fans.

Social amelioration programs ng DSWD pinapa-excempt sa spending ban sa halalan

ITINUTULAK ni House Ways and Means Committee chairman Joey Sarte Salceda na gawing exempted ang lahat ng emergency financial assistance programs ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) sa spending ban dahil sa eleksyon.

Sa kanyang liham kay DSWD Sec. Rolando Bautista, hiniling ni Salceda na i-petition nito sa Comelec na gawing exempted ang lahat ng aid transactions ng kagawaran mula sa prohibition sa ilalim ng Comelec Resolution 10747.

Kakaiba aniya ang panahon ngayon akay hindi kakayanin ng bansa kung bumagal ang pagbibigay ng emergency at crisis aid, partikular na ang Assistance for Individuals in Crisis Situation, pati na rin ang 4Ps at iba pang social amelioration programs.

Kung magaroon kasi aniya nang delay sa mga ito ay tiyak na babagal din ang recovery ng bansa mula sa epekto ng pandemya.

Nakasaad sa Resolution 10747 ng poll body na ang DSWD at iba pang kagawaran ng pamahalaan na may kaparehong function ay sakop ng public spending ban mula Marso hanggang Mayo 2022.

Pero ayon kay Salceda, mayroon namang exemption clause ang naturang prohibition, na maaring magpahintulot sa disbursement ng mga pondo sa mga social amelioration programs upang sa gayon ang implementation ng mga ito ay hindi maudlot.

COLUMBIA PICTURES’ “UNCHARTED” EMBARKS ON A THRILLING ADVENTURE

FOR millions of PlayStation gamers, Nathan Drake and Victor “Sully” Sullivan are favorite characters whose stories they have lived out through their consoles in the “Uncharted” series of videogames.

Now, in Columbia Pictures’ new action-adventure feature Uncharted, moviegoers will see for the first time how the two joined forces and how a young Nathan Drake became the famed treasure hunter.

Director Ruben Fleischer (Venom, Zombieland) says it’s no secret why the “Uncharted” games have connected with millions of players and sold more than 44 million copies over six games: it plays like a movie, he says, and not just any movie – the kind they don’t make anymore. “Uncharted truly captures all of the magic of what I love about film,” says Fleischer. “I’ve dreamed of making a treasure-hunting, globe-trotting adventure since I was a kid. That kind of movie gave me a passion for history and antiquity – I even went to college thinking I was going to be an archaeologist. As soon as I read this script, it captured that magical quality of escapist adventure. I couldn’t believe how lucky I was to be asked to be part of something special.”

Tom Holland has been a fan of the games ever since he first got his hands on them with “Uncharted 4” in 2016. “I was shooting Spider-Man™: Homecoming, and one of the benefits of working with Sony is they outfitted all of our trailers with the newest PlayStation. One of the games they gave us was ‘Uncharted 4,’ so between setups, my best mate Harrison and I would be playing. We played the game backwards – once we fell in love with the fourth, we bought the other games and caught up.”

Fleischer says that Tom Holland was the perfect person to lead the adaptation as Nathan Drake. “He’s endlessly creative, as collaborative as you could hope for, and such an avid fan of the games,” says the director. “He had a real commitment to the character and the franchise that even exceeded my own, because he’s such an ardent fan.”

Pairing Holland with Wahlberg brought out everything that Wahlberg excels at as an actor, Fleischer continues. “He can do incredible dramatic work, he’s one of the world’s funniest actors – for which I don’t think he gets the credit he’s due – and he’s obviously beyond physically fit. He has great heart, and can disguise that in layers of wiliness, untrustworthiness, and intriguing mystery. Sully features all of those different aspects of Mark at once – his portrayal of the character is spot-on.”

“The great thing about having the games as source material to base the film upon is that the tone is so well-established,” says Fleischer. “The humor, the relationship – there was a template to follow. But when you’re making a film and not a videogame, you have to make it your own. It was really important to distinguish our story from the games, to show a different aspect of it. For any fan of the games who’s had the experience of playing it – viscerally immersed in it – I wanted to give them a movie that worked as a film first.”

INAASAHANG darating ngayong Pebrero ang nasa limang milyong Pfizer vaccine na gagamitin sa mas pinalawig ng pagbabakuna sa mga kabataang may edad na 5 hanggang 11 na nagsisimula na ngayon at sisimulan na rin sa Region 3 at 4- A.

Ito ang iniulat ni NTF against COVID 19 Chief Implementer Carlito Galvez Jr. kay Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

Ani Galvez, ang 5 milyong pfizer doses na paparating ngayong Pebrero ay bukod pa sa una ng dumating na 780,000 doses.

Sa Pebrero 10, paparating pa ang 780,000 doses at isa pang 780,000 doses ang darating naman sa Pebrero 16.

Habang may panibagong 780,000 doses pa ang susunod na paparating habang sa Pebrero 23 ay darating naman ang 1.6 milyong doses at sa Pebrero 28 naman ay may 2.1 milyon na Pfizer vaccine arrival.

Sa kabuuan ani Galvez ay papalo sa 5.2 milyong doses ng bakuna ang aasahang darating ngayong buwan ng Pebrero.

NAGBABALA ang Diyosesis ng Novaliches sa mga mamamayan kaugnay sa scammer na nagpapakilalang seminarista upang makakuha ng mga donasyon.

Sa inilabas na pahayag ng diyosesis umiikot sa komunidad ng Commonwealth sa Quezon City partikular sa Kristong Hari Parish at Parokya ng Mabuting Pastol ang nagpakilalang John Michael Castillo upang humingi ng tulong pinansyal para sa ordinasyon.

$2-M ADB grant para suportahan ang ‘Odette’ relief ng Pilipinas

INAPRUBAHAN ng Asian Development Bank (ADB) ang $2-million grant para suportahan ang emergency response ng gobyerno ng Pilipinas sa mga nasalanta at nawasak na lugar sa central at southern provinces dulot ng bagyong Odette.

Ang bagyong Odette ang itinturing na “strongest typhoon” na tumama sa bansa noong nakaraang taon.

Ang grant sa ilalim ng Asia Pacific Disaster Response Fund ng ADB ay magbibigay ng humanitarian assistance sa 15,000 households, o 75,000 katao sa Visayas at Mindanao na labis na naapektuhan ng nasabing bagyo.

Popondohan din nito ang food vouchers na ipamamahagi sa mga target communities, kung saan maaaring ipalit ng mga banepisaryo ang food vouchers sa mga pagkain sa piling pamilihan.

Kabilang din sa grant ang logistics support para sa food assistance delivery.

“Typhoon Odette’s damage on housing, agriculture, and infrastructure amid the Covid-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) pandemic has made life more difficult for Filipinos in affected areas,” ayon kay ADB Director General for Southeast Asia Ramesh Subramaniam.

“This assistance will help finance the humanitarian needs of those residents, especially people living in remote areas,” aniya pa rin.

Katuwang ng ADB ang United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) sa pagde-deliver ng food assistance.

Samantala, sa pagtantiya naman ng National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, sinasabing pumalo sa P24.6 billion ($500 million) ang pinsala sa mga pananim, imprastraktura at private property. (Daris Jose)

Alert Level 1 sa NCR, posible- Nograles

MALAKI ang posibilidad na ilagay sa tinatawag na “most lenient” Alert Level 1 ang National Capital Region (NCR) kung magtutuloy-tuloy ang pagbaba ng kaso ng Covid-19 sa mga darating na araw.

Sinabi ni Acting Presidential Spokesperson at Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles, magkakaroon ng preliminary assessment sa COVID-19 situation ang mga key officials ng Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID).

Susundan aniya ito ng pagpupulong sa darating na Pebrero 12 o Pebrero 13 upang pag-usapan ang pinakabagong Covid-19 data at bilang sa iba’t ibang rehiyon kasama na ang NCR.

“What we want to do sa IATF is the closer to February 16 ang aming assessment para ‘yun ang latest numbers na makikita natin to make a final decision for alert level system for February 16 hanggang katapusan ng Pebrero,” ayon kay Nograles.

Nauna rito, sinabi naman ni Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) officer-in-charge and general manager, Romando Artes, na handa na ang mga Alkalde sa Kalakhang Maynila na pagaanin ang restriksyon sa kani-kanilang local government units (LGUs) subalit nananatiling naghihintay pa rin sa final guidelines mula sa IATF.

“Ine-expect natin na soon baka mag-Alert Level 1 po tayo. Ang mga alkalde naman po ay handa para sa pagbubukas ng iba’t ibang industriya at sektor sa kalakhang Maynila ,” aniya pa rin.

Sa oras na nagpatuloy ang pagbaba ng Covid-19 cases, sinabi ni ni Artes na kaagad na hihilingin ng Metro Manila Council na ilagay ang NCR sa Alert Level 1, “as discussed by its members.”

Samantala, ang Metro Manila, kabilang na ang Batanes, Bulacan, Cavite, Rizal in Luzon; Biliran at Southern Leyte sa Visayas; at Basilan sa Mindanao, ay kasalukuyang nasa Alert Level 2 hanggang Pebrero 15. (Daris Jose)
