UPANG magbigay ng kagalakan at pananabik sa mga Malabueño sa kanilang pagdiriwang ng Araw ng mga Puso, inilunsad ni Mayor Jeannie Sandoval nitong Biyernes, ang pamamahagi ng unang tranche ng Malabon Ahon Blue Card (MABC) na tulong pinansyal para sa taong 2025.

“Maligayang Araw ng mga Puso, Malabueños! Kasabay ng ating pagdiriwang ng buwan ng pag-ibig, ay nakakatuwa pong ibalita na atin na pong sisimulan ang pamamahagi ng ating unang ayuda para sa 2025! Ito po ay bahagi pa rin ng ating layuning mas mailapit ang tulong at serbisyo para sa ating mga kababayan. Sa panahong ito, nawa ay ating ipadama ang pagmamahal sa bawat isa. Sama-sama po tayo ano man ang panahon,” ani Mayor Sandoval.

Ayon sa City Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Office, ang 86,674 qualified MABC holder ay maaaring mag-withdraw ng kanilang tulong pinansyal sa alinmang BancNet-powered ATM o sa alinmang sangay ng Universal Storefront Services Corporation (USSC) sa buong bansa mula Pebrero 14, alas-8 ng umaga, Pebrero 28, alas-11:59 ng gabi.

Sinabi nito na ang mga benepisyaryo ay makakatanggap ng mensahe mula sa USSC kapag ang kanilang unang ayuda ay magagamit para sa pag-claim. Ang team ng MABC ay magpo-post din ng isang link na may listahan ng mga kwalipikadong residente sa Facebook page nito.

Pinaalalahanan ng MEAL ang mga Malabueño na alagaan ang kanilang mga MABC at agad na makipag-ugnayan sa USSC kung mayroon silang mga alalahanin tulad ng PIN update, nawala at nasira na mga card.

Upang maiwasan ang mga isyu sa pag-claim ng kanilang ayuda, sinabi ng MEAL na dapat iwasan ng mga residente na mabasa o masira ang kanilang mga MABC.

Sa parehong araw, pinangunahan din ni Mayor Jeannie ang soft launching ng MABC Eskwela Savings Program para sa mga Grade 1 students na nagbibigay-daan sa mga mag-aaral na makaipon ng pera at makatulong sa kanila sa hinaharap.

Ang mga benepisyaryo ay bibigyan ng savings account na may paunang pondo na P1,000.

“Ito ba ang ika-siyam na ayuda sa ilalim ng Malabon Ahon Blue Card muka ng ilunsad ito noong 2022. Makasisiguro ang mga Malabueño na tayo sa pamahalaang lungsod, sa pangunguna ni Mayor Jeannie Sandoval, ay patuloy na maglalapit ng mga programa para sa ating mga kababayan,” pahayag ni City Administrator Dr. Alexander Rosete. PINAYUHAN ng Commission on Elections (Comelec)  ang mga piling indibidwal kaugnay sa local absentee voting na itinakda sa Abril para sa 2025 elections.

Sinabi ng Comelec na lahat ng government officilas at empleyado kabilang ng mga miyembro ng Philippine National Police (PNP) at Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) at edia practitioners kasama ang kanilang technical at support staff na pansamantalang naka-assigned para gampanan ang kanilang election duties o para ikober  ang pagsasagawa ng halalan ay maaring ma-avail ang local absentee voting para sa botohan ngayong taon.

Ang mga government officials at miyembro ng  AFP at PNP ay maaaring maghain ng kanilang aplikasyon ng hindi lalagpas ng marso 7 ,2025 .

Ayon sa Comelec, maaari silang maghain sa kanilang head offices, supervisors, commanders o officers na next-in rank.

Para sa mga miyembro ng media, maaari rin silang maghain ng kanilang aplikasyon nang hindi lalampas sa Marso 7, 2025.

Maaari silang maghain ng kanilang aplikasyon sa Office of the Regional Election Director – National Capital Region para sa mga nasa Metro Manila; ang Opisina ng Halalan ng Lungsod para sa mga HUC o mga independiyenteng lungsod sa labas ng NR; o ang Office of the Provincial Election Supervisor para sa mga lugar na hindi nabanggit sa itaas.

Ang Local Absentee Voting ay magaganap sa Abril 28, 29, at 30 sa ganap na 8 ng umaga hanggang 5 ng hapon. (Gene Adsuara)

KINONDENA ng isang mambabatas ang naging pahayag ni dating Presidente Rodrigo Roa Duterte na pagpapatayin umano ang mga senador para magbigay daan sa mga kandidato ng kanilang partido.

Sa ginanap na PDP-Laban proclamation rally nitong Huwebes, sinabi ni Duterte na “Ngayon marami kasi sila. Ano dapat ang gawin natin? Patayin natin yung mga senador ngayon para mabakante. Kung makapatay tayo, tanan, mga 15 na senador. Pasok na tayo lahat.”

Ayon kay House Assistant Majority Leader Jude Acidre ng Tingog Party-list, maisasalamin ang ginawang pahayag ng dating pangulo sa naging babala ng Bise Presidente laban kay Pangulong Bongbong Marcos at kina First Lady Liza Marcos at Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez.

“Talagang mag-ama nga sila. Si anak, nagbanta na ipapapatay ang Presidente at Speaker. Si ama naman, gusto ipapatay ang mga senador. Parang gusto nila bumingo sa lagay na ’yan,” ani Acidre.

Hindi rin dapat aniyang ipagsawalang bahala ang ganitong pagbabanta sa publiko, maging biro man ito o seryoso.

“Hindi biro ang pagbabantang pumatay ng opisyal ng gobyerno—kahit pa sabihin nilang joke lang. Nakakatakot ‘yan kasi nagpapalaganap ng kultura ng karahasan, pinahihina ang demokrasya, at sinisira ang batas. Sa isang demokratikong bansa, inihahalal ang mga pinuno, hindi pinapatay. Kapag ang mga dating o kasalukuyang opisyal mismo ang nagbibitaw ng ganitong klaseng salita, parang sinasabi nilang okay lang gumamit ng dahas imbes na pag-usapan nang maayos ang hindi pagkakasundo,” paliwanag ni Acidre.

Bukod aniya dito ay hindi lang ito basta padalos-dalos na salita dahil maikukunsidera umano itong krimen sa ilalim ng batas.

Idinagdag ni Acidera na ang pagbabanta sa mga opisyal ng gobyerno ay maituturing na inciting to sedition o grave threats, at may kaakibat na parusa kaya hindi puwedeng balewalain ito dahil nagdadala ito ng tunay na banta sa seguridad, at napipilitan ang gobyerno na gumastos ng pondo at magpakilos ng pulis at militar para tugunan ang banta, kahit pa sinasabi nilang biro lang ito.

Sinabi pa ng mambabatas na ang kampo mismo ng mga Duterte ang para umanong nagbabaon sa sarili nila sa kanilang mga ginagawang pahayag.

Matatandaan na kamakailan lamang ay inirekomenda ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) ang paghahain ng reklamong kriminal laban kay VP Duterte dahil sa inciting to sedition at grave threats dulot ng pahayag nito ukol sa pagkuha ng assassin. (Vina de Guzman)
