Posted on: May 30th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

Huli raw silang nagkasama nina John Lloyd, kasama sina Bea Alonzo at Julia Barretto.

Kasama sa cast sina Eula Valdes, Sunshine Cruz, Laurice Guillen, Jeremiah Lisbo, Will Ashley at Maey Bautista.

Posted on: May 30th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

Eh tayo ngayon ang fastest growing country in the world,” ayon sa Punong Ehekutibo.

“Tama ‘yung ating direksyon.

“Where Cebu goes…maraming sumusunod. So, it is very important ‘yung ginawa ninyo para naabot natin itong magandang pagkapanalo at masasabi natin, may unity tayong pinag-uusapan.

(Daris Jose)

NDRRMC nakaalerto na kay Betty

Posted on: May 30th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

“We have already identified and activated appropriate emergency preparedness and response protocols in different regions to be affected by the weather disturbance,” pahayag pa ni Nepomuceno.

‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’ Has The Chance To Beat ‘The Flash’

Posted on: May 30th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

DESPITE The Flash’s high anticipation and positive reviews, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom has the chance to be DC’s most successful movie of 2023.

DC movies have had a bumpy ride at the box office for a long time. For every record-breaking hit like The Dark Knight there has been a box office bomb like Green Lantern, and for every successful DCEU entry like Wonder Woman there has been a massive flop like Wonder Woman 1984 or Shazam: Fury of the Gods.

DCEU movies have also experienced a complex reception. For instance, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice remains the second-best box office success in the franchise, but it is perhaps one of the DCEU’s most divisive entries for DC fans, critics, and the general audience.

On the other hand, The Suicide Squad received much better reviews than Suicide Squad and Black Adam, but its box office performance still failed to match its positive reception. Likewise, The Flash has all the necessary elements to rise to the top of the DCEU’s box office rankings, but Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom could still surpass it.

The Dark Knight raised the bar not only for DC movies but also for superhero movies as a whole, both in terms of critical reception and in terms of commercial success. Naturally, The Dark Knight’s massive impact carried over to its sequel, The Dark Knight Rises, which surpassed its predecessor at the box office despite divisive reviews. Since then, Marvel dominated the superhero scene unanimously with the Avengers movies and their MCU interconnectivity.

But to the surprise of many, James Wan’s Aquaman beat The Dark Knight and quickly rose to the top of the most successful DC films and claimed a spot in the highest-grossing superhero movies of all time.

Before the 2018 movie, DC’s Aquaman had struggled with constant jokes at his expense due to his unique powerset and colorful costume. Besides, the DCEU’s Aquaman had only appeared in a cameo in the divisive Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and then appeared in the highly controversial Justice League.

But even with those factors against him, Jason Momoa’s Aquaman suddenly became DC’s best asset, so it would make sense that Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom can now replicate the first movie’s success and dominate 2023’s box office despite not having well-defined selling points like Michael Keaton’s older Batman or the concept of the multiverse.

One specific factor Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom does have in its favor is a lack of competition in theaters. Although its performance seemed at risk back when every major blockbuster was constantly changing release dates due to the COVID-19 pandemic (the Aquaman sequel competed with Avatar: The Way of Water at one point), Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom now has free rein to take over the December 2023 box office, as Wonka and Ghostbusters: Afterlife 2 are less likely to recapture Aquaman’s phenomenon and Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon will release on Netflix.

The Flash is undoubtedly a much highly anticipated movie due to how long it has been in development, how important it might be for DC’s cinematic future, and how shocking its twists and cameos may be. The Flash has all the makings for a top summer blockbuster, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom may subvert expectations once again in its tried-and-true December slot.

Since Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is a more standalone movie, its reception will likely depend solely on its script, performances, and visuals. Amber Heard’s participation in the Aquaman sequel may be its only potential controversy, and even then, Mera’s role will be too small to affect the film significantly.

While The Flash can be either a massive success or a massive disappointment, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom could either strike gold twice in a row or simply fall short of its predecessor. (source: screenrant.com)

PCSO kasado na sa pamamahagi ng ayuda

Posted on: May 30th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

“We understand the importance of preparedness, and our branch offices will be in constant coordination with local organizations and government units for effective response and distribution of assistance,” ayon kay GM Robles.

Posted on: May 30th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

“Pinalaki siya sa kalye so binigyan siya ng opportunity ni Ninong Spark which is played by Jose Manalo na magkatrabaho which is delivery driver.

“Kaya yung Tagalog-English malayo.

“Like it’s one in a million times opportunity talaga na si Bossing Vic ang makakasama so it’s a blessing, it’s a blessing talaga.

“And I thank GMA for this opportunity, I thank everyone from M-Zet Productions and siyempre I thank Papa God for this amazing opportunity.

Na it’s part of his body yung pagiging aktor.”

“We’re okay, me and Althea. I wish the best for her. Pero yeah, it’s a decision made by GMA, and I respect GMA’s decision.”

Bakit kaya sila pinaghiwalay?

“It maybe because of certain plans of GMA, na may plan sila for me becoming a solo actor, si Althea becoming a solo actress or maybe having a different loveteam.

“Wala namang problema sa akin basta I respect everyone’s decision. If it’s the decision by GMA I have to accept it, kung desisyon ng GMA alam ko na tama iyon since sila yung mga professional.”

Posted on: May 30th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

“It’s encouraging to see that a massive undertaking such as this, where the local government takes the lead and collaborates with the private sector and other local governments, in the pursuit of objectives consonant with the national development agenda,”  ang pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos sa kanyang naging talumpati.

“With the many benefits to the public interest, these projects showcase kindred examples of good urban planning. Let us imagine if these kinds of projects are replicated across the country, laterally and locally coordinated, and harmonized both on the provincial and national levels—then we could say that we are genuinely closer to our ambition of a prosperous, inclusive, and resilient society,” dagdag na wika ng Pangulo.

“As a smart port, it will integrate digital technology into its operations by using QR codes and a radio frequency identification-ready (RFID) system to be integrated with a mobile application, providing passengers with seamless and convenient traveling,” ayon sa ulat.

“The close-to-three-hectare smart port will help decongest traffic in Metro Cebu, particularly Consolacion and Mandaue City, by providing an alternative mode of transport from Liloan to Mactan and Cebu City and vice versa,” ayon pa rin sa ulat.

Posted on: May 30th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

“The major gains in 2022 were seen in the imported petroleum excise tax, sweetened beverage excise tax, documentary stamp tax, and sin taxes on tobacco and alcohol,” ayon kay Diokno.

“Total collections from Package 2+ or the Sin Tax Laws meanwhile amounted to P65.3 billion, 23 percent higher than the 2021 collection of P52.9 billion,” ayon sa DoF.

“Revenue losses from the Corporate Recovery and Tax Incentives for Enterprises (CREATE) law reached P80.4 billion in 2022, up by 18 percent or P12.4 billion from the actual impact in 2021 of P68 billion,” ayon pa rin sa DoF.

“The proposed tax revenue measures under the MTFF such as Package 4 or the Passive lncome and Financial lntermediary Taxation Act, VAT on digital service providers, and excise taxes on single-use plastics and pre-mixed alcohol are currently being deliberated and discussed at the House of Representatives and Senate, and expected to be implemented starting 2024,” ayon kay Diokno sabay sabing “Broken down, the government expects to collect P29.1 billion in 2024; P29.5 billion in 2025; P29.4 billion in 2026; P29.1 billion in 2027; at P28.5 billion in 2028.”

“The MTFF is the administration’s plan to promote fiscal sustainability and reduce the fiscal deficit while enabling economic growth,” ayon kay Diokno. (Daris Jose)
