Posted on: May 16th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

Posted on: May 16th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

Base sa memorandum na nilagdaan ni  DepEd Undersecretary Gina Gonong na may petsang Mayo 11, ang task force ay nilikha  “to address the emerging challenges in the implementation of the SHS program in both DepEd and non-DepEd schools.”

Ang task force ay nagsumite ng  report ng accomplishments at outputs kay Vice President at Education Secretary Sara Duterte, sa pamamagitan ng Undersecretaries of the Curriculum and Teaching and Operation Strands, “on or before May 12, 2024.”

“As the nation strives for economic recovery and growth, it is becoming increasingly important for SHS graduates to have greater access to employment, entrepreneurship, advanced education, and training,” ang nakasaad sa memorandum.

Samantala, itinalaga ng departmento ang  Assistant Secretary for Curriculum and Teaching, Curriculum Development, Learning Delivery, and Learning Resources bilang chairman ng  task force, at  Assistant Secretary for Operations bilang co-chair. (BISHOP JESUS “JEMBA” M. BASCO)

Pinas nakapagtala ng 2 milyon international arrivals – DOT

Posted on: May 16th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

“Notwithstanding our challenges and difficulties that our country has faced, a pandemic and the various calamities that come into our shores the good news is that this has done nothing to break the Filipino spirit or to diminish the beauty of the Philippines,” pahayag ni Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco  nitong Linggo.

Posted on: May 16th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

Pero all the angles are being looked into para we are working on bringing down the price of onions para sa ating consumers,” ayon kay Evangelista,

At the same time, we will check ‘yung supply, nakakarating mismo sa palengke.

Posted on: May 16th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

“Approaching the competition, I was running on 1-2 hours of sleep every day. Miss Universe is the most bardagulan pageant, in my opinion.

“You have to dedicate time, not just for the pasarela, which was the walk, but your styling, your Q&A — the Q&A is what I worked on the most.”

Noong coronation day, nagising daw si Michelle ng 4 am at nag-training sa kanyang Q&A.

“I was so restless, I wanted more training. I told them, ‘keep throwing questions at me.’ I really wanted my mind in the right place.

“In the past months, I was fighting for my life, shooting a teleserye, taking care of my two autistic siblings. I was like, ‘if I pull this off, I should be in the next Wonder Woman film!”

I needed to outdo my last performance. I was 1st runner up last year so winner na dapat.

“Nasa age limit na kasi ako. I’m going to regret it if I don’t join. So I said, I’ll just give it my all, and if destiny permits, sa ‘kin mapupunta ang korona.”

“Iba talaga yung energy. May calmness that night. I wasn’t intimidated, I wasn’t pressured. I was in the moment talaga. Everything aligned.”

Unang nanalo si Michelle bilang Miss World Philippines noong 2019. Naging 1st runner-up siya sa 2022 Miss Universe PH.

This year, she will represent the country sa Miss Universe 2023 pageant sa El Salvador.

Posted on: May 16th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

“As we renew Service Contract (SC) 38, we optimistically look forward to the continued production and utilization of the remaining reserves of the Malampaya gas field, as well as further exploration and development of its untapped potential,” ayon sa Pangulong Marcos sa  signing ceremony sa Palasyo ng Malakanyang.

“As I sign this SC 38 renewal agreement, we also lay stress on the Administration’s commitment to actively pursue the exploration, development, and utilization of the country’s indigenous energy resources, and to optimize our energy mix,” ani Pangulong Marcos.

“The assessment encompassed legal, technical, and financial capabilities, and confirmed the Consortium’s capacity to sustain the production operations and meet its obligations under the Renewal Agreement.  The DoE recommended the renewal of the service contract, anchored on the commitment of the Consortium to actively explore and evaluate additional gas resources,” ani Lotilla.

“Through the stringent due diligence observed, the government aims to uphold responsible and sustainable energy practices while effectively managing the valuable resource that is the Malampaya gas field,” dagdag na pahayag nito.

Mula sa pagkakadiskubre sa gas field  may tatlong dekada na ang nakalilipas at  Project’s commissioning noong 2001, ang Malampaya Deep Water Gas-to-Power Project  ay “has been a boon to the Philippines providing 20 percent of Luzon’s energy requirement.”

“Because of the contract renewal, the government will continue to generate revenues from the Project through a favorable sharing scheme,” ayon sa Pangulo.

“Through our strategic partnerships, we will remain on course towards the attainment of our goals of total electrification of our country, and of energy adequacy, reliability, and affordability, all for the betterment of the lives of the ordinary Filipinos,” anito.

“The Malampaya Deep Water Gas-to-Power Project utilizes state-of-the-technology to extract natural gas and condensate from the depths of the Palawan basin. It will then process the gas in the nearby shallow water production platform and transport it across three provinces through a 504-kilometer underwater pipeline,” ayon sa ulat.

“An onshore gas plant in Batangas receives the gas for further processing before it is sent to five power-plant customers for power generation,” ayon pa rin sa ulat.

Kabilang sa mga opisyal na dumalo sa event ay sina Speaker Martin Romualdez, Senator Raffy Tulfo, Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Juan Ponce Enrile, Presidential Communications Secretary Cheloy Velicaria-Garafil, Defense Officer-in-Charge Undersecretary Carlito Galvez Jr.,  Prime Infra Chairman Enrique Razon, at Philippine National Oil Company – Exploration Corporation President at CEO Franz Josef George Alvarez.

ENTER THE EXPANDED MULTIVERSE OF “SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE”

Posted on: May 16th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

HOW do you follow up an Oscar®-winning animated feature which redefined what a CG-animated movie could look like, while introducing a new multicultural version of a classic Marvel superhero?

If you are part of the creative team at Sony Pictures Animation, you up the visual ante, take audiences to new places and offer surprising plot developments while never forgetting the emotional core of the story.

Watch the film’s trailer here: https://youtu.be/oFxDoVKZlN4

“We took everything that we did in the first movie and cranked it to a whole new level,” says filmmaker Christopher Miller, one of the film’s writers and producers. “With this movie, we’re visiting different universes, and each universe has its own aesthetic and own artistic style. Each world is so different visually from the others, and the things that the people at Sony Pictures Animation and Imageworks have designed are limited by absolutely nothing. Anything you can imagine, paint and conceive, they can make an immersive 3D spectacle – and that’s often absolutely jaw-dropping.”

Producer Amy Pascal says, “This movie is a lot bigger and will have all the action that everyone’s looking for. But what I hope we’ll achieve is that the action sequences come out of character development and that you’re always telling a good story – we’ve been quite rigorous about that.”

“I think one point that comes across in the movie is that heroes exist in all cultures,” says producer Avi Arad.

Vision to the Power of Three

“What’s really inspiring is that each one of our new directors was able to bring something unique to the experience, a personal strength or viewpoint that was completely different from ours,” says filmmaker Phil Lord, also a writer and producer for the sequel.

“We’ve often joked about the fact that as a team of three directors, we each have our own individual superpowers,” says Joaquim Dos Santos, who directs the sequel with Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson. “Justin was the production designer on the first film, and has an amazing eye for design and knows how to push design especially when you’re visiting all these different worlds. Kemp is obviously an amazing writer. He has this fantastic backlog of work that has received every accolade and deserves even more because he’s an absolute virtuoso. My own background is as a story artist, so I am about telling stories through visual camera work. We are constantly checking each other’s work and showing each other what we are doing, and everybody has a say. It’s a very democratic process.”

A good old friend

“I hope audiences will feel like they’ve been reunited with a good friend,” says Peter Ramsey, one of the directors of the first film and now an executive producer for the sequel. “We want them to hold on tight as Miles goes through some really tricky and treacherous times. Most of all, I hope his journey comes across as powerfully and emotionally strong as it did in the original movie.”

Posted on: May 15th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

“BIMP-EAGA provides our common sub-region, which has long been impaired by strife, with better access to viable economic opportunities,” ayon kay Pangulong Marcos sa kanyang interbensyon sa  15th BIMP-EAGA Summit sa Indonesia.

“So, let us continue this impetus for growth in BIMP-EAGA and thereby position our very own sub-region as a well-connected, economically thriving, multi-country trade, investment, and tourism destination. There lies our future,” ayon sa Pangulo.

Ani Pangulong Marcos, ang  COVID-19 pandemic at gulo sa Ukraine ay nagpakita ng pangangailangan na  “to maintain the physical connectivity that underpins the region’s extensive and comprehensive logistics chain in all its aspects.”

“Our collective effort towards rebuilding the air and sea linkages disrupted by geopolitical challenges and the pandemic still remains the key towards our full economic recovery,”  lahad ng Punong Ehekutibo.

Posted on: May 15th, 2023 by @peoplesbalita No Comments

So what else can we do? Find new sources. That’s what we’re trying to do. The situation with the renewables is also improving but we may have found some other technologies na hindi mag-antay ng lead time ng six, seven years,” ayon sa Pangulo.

“So pinag-aaralan naming mabuti. When it comes to power, we’re open to everything.

“We need everything. We just have to have everything and this new technology is something,” ani Pangulong Marcos.

(Daris Jose)
